Been with Thomann over 20 years.

Been dealing with Thomann over 20 years. The most reliable and honest company! The Warranties are total peace of mind. Only time I had a problem couldn't get a P.A. system to work RCF EVOX Jmix8. Rang Thomann and they sorted me out in seconds! Deliveries always arrive on time. One time the driver couldn't get up to the village where I was so me and my band leader had to go and meet him to pick up a new PA system. As we carried the gear from the truck to our cars, we wondered whether passing police might think we were truck hijackers! Anyway, I trust Thomann and have done for a long time. Ain't going to stop anytime soon.

Great prices and quality, despite a shipping hiccup!

I recently ordered a guitar and some other gear from Thomann. The prices are excellent, the quality of the items is top-notch, and I have absolutely no complaints about the products themselves — a well-deserved 5 stars.

However, I have to mention the delivery process. The shipping box arrived with a long tear on the side, looking like it had been dragged and caught on something during transit. I understand this is almost certainly the shipping company's fault and not Thomann's, but it was still a bit stressful to see. Thankfully, the internal packaging did its job, and the guitar and gear were completely unharmed. Overall, it's a great store with fantastic prices, and I'm very happy with my purchase!

Loyal customer for over 15 years

I’ve been a loyal customer of Thomann for over 15 years, and they remain my absolute go-to for gear.

The biggest reason I keep coming back is their consistently great customer service. Whether it’s a technical question before a purchase or a warranty issue years later, their specialists actually know what they’re talking about and handle everything with zero friction. Their product portfolio is also unmatched, from rare studio accessories to every guitar imaginable, if it exists, they usually have it in stock.

The only "negative" side is a bittersweet one: they are so efficient and competitively priced that it’s becoming incredibly difficult for local guitar shops to survive. It’s a real dilemma for a musician, but purely from a customer experience standpoint, Thomann is flawless.

Strong recommendation for any musician, beginner or pro.

Avoid this retailer if you expect…

Avoid this retailer if you expect reliable after-sales service.

I am extremely disappointed with the warranty support for my faulty guitar. Over a two-week period, I received three contradictory responses:
first, that they tested the setup with no issues;
second, that I simply needed to "adjust my tone" to avoid bricking another amp.
and finally, an email ( which seems like AI generated pseudo-science) claiming my guitar and amp setup could never work at all. ever!

At no point did anyone ask a single troubleshooting question to actually help resolve the problem. I’ve wasted two weeks dealing with inconsistent excuses while still being left with a non-functional instrument.

Meanwhile the guitar manufactory has confirmed in writing that no such issues exist and the setup should work without issue. They have stated in writing that this is likely a faullt with the guitar and that the onus is on the retailer ( Thomann) to correct that.

Great instruments and user friendly interface

Bought few Koshi chimes and hand drum. Guys are very fast and easy to reach out.

Page is very user friendly and each product is described in details.
It helps a lot when choosing an instrument you never saw or used before.

Instruments are phenomenal.

Very efficient at sorting out problems:
I had an accordion delivered which had a stuck reed. Thomann staff were excellent helping me to describe and video the problem. They arranged pickup, and as soon as they had proof of pickup (I sent photo) they shipped a replacement which arrived a few days later.
Delivering stuff is easy. Handling problems and keeping customers happy is harder, but Thomann do it brilliantly. Thank you

Very bad experience with Thomann

Very bad experience with Thomann. I sent my item for repair and clearly provided a delivery address in France, but they sent the package twice to my billing address in Morocco, where the postal service does not deliver. Despite my requests, no quick solution was offered. As a result, I have to leave France on March 10 without my equipment. Very disappointed with the customer service for such a well-known store.

Garbage service and quality

Garbage service and quality
Every time I contact them I'm left unsatisfied with the service. This time I wrote about an issue with my 1000 euro guitar (that was already replaced once only to swap one issue with another) to ask if it will be repaired on warranty. They haven't even responded to me and I ended up taking it to a luthier.
Never buy anything expensive from them

Edit: it's been almost 2 weeks and still no one responded to my warranty email that I wrote to the mail the customer service on their website provided

Check they really have the item in stock

Told me my amp would arrive in 2-5 days but they didn't have it in stock and kept pushing back the date they would be receiving the amp from the manufacturer. When I asked why they'd taken my money if they didn't have it in stock I was told they'd "reserved" my money. They'd reserved it so well that my bank had taken it from my account. previous experience with them had been OK but they were very slippery this time. I did eventually get my money back
