They are really good and have a lot of options to choose from. At least for entry levels. I am really satisfied with them as a company and really appreciate how fast they were to solve an issue I had... See more

Hi. Just ordered a three set pack of elexir guitar strings from Thomann. They always have them in stock and they are always good value for money.
I recommend Thomann and I will always buy my string's from them.

Guitar clearly wasn’t brand new, a lot of scratches on the guitar body and neck, the headstock was dented?? This definitely didn’t happen in transit as the guitar came nested in 2 boxes and a guitar case which were all fine. The input jack had visible grime and collected dust… Thomann admitted it had been sent to a customer before but apparently was “never accepted”. The manufacturer box had been re-sealed several times? They tried to offer me £75 off a £1700 damaged guitar which was laughable. Wasting my time sending me a guitar which clearly wasn’t new (as labeled) and leaving me the hassle of sending it back.

My god, Thoman is the worst customer service experiemce if my life. Now, the regional customer service has responded to ny questions with the same email 6 times, ond they have done nothing with my problems.

Do not place orders! The products you order for the "sale" price are not even in stock. Because it is an international order. Your money is gone! God knows when I recieve my refund. Called costumer service. They do not help at all. The cancelled products of mine are still in stock. Really dissapointend in Europe"s "BIGGEST" music store. You can change it to Europe"s lowest costumer service!
They respond in seconds. Placing the order is smooth and quick. They have very friendly and professional support. If you claim a warranty issue, there are no unnecessary questions! You can call them, write an e-mail or talk to them online. Talk to the real person, not some AI... There is no online shop like that. And I'm not an employee of Thomann, just one very satisfied customer!

I bought an electronic drum kit in January 2026 as a gift for my daughter. It quickly became a major disappointment.
The drum module was defective from day one. I've had to send it back three times, and the kit has been stuck in transit or under repair for over two months. Multiple support reps and even a third-party company confirmed the module is faulty. Extremely frustrating — Thomann seems to have little control and even less care for customers.

I have been using Thomann’s services for several years now, and they have never disappointed me. They deliver products quickly and reliably, and their customer service responds to questions promptly. They are very kind and positive—everything is excellent. Keep up the great work!

The box it showed up in did not exactly inspire confidence. The products were just loosely in a box that was barely holding together. I thankfully did not order expensive electronics, just a bag and a cheap power supply.

2 issues within 2 individual orders within 1 week.
a) Today (Mar 2026) I placed an order for a guitar (webpage says in stock). I authorized the payment and 2 hours later I got the mail that the guitar was sold out.
Subsequent communication with customer support to find a different offer turned to a nightmare where the support person failed to explain the issue in proper English.
b) 5 days ago I asked Thomann to help find a 3rd party locking tuners to my PRS SE Piezo. I asked about specific shaft length, thinner washers, provided the measurements. Thomann guitar team just replied with generic PRS tuners ignoring any details I asked for or provided. I reached back and never heard back from them again.
Music instruments are physical items that need to be tried. Online stores bring the convenience (order from home, cheaper price, ...) but they remove the physical touch. Therefore customer service must step in to provide excellent help. Clearly that has not yet happened at thomann (the biggest European music online retailer)

Searching, selection and checkout were all very smooth. Everything in the process went down without any hitches. Nice shop!

UPDATE: Thomann’s public reply below claims they "sincerely appreciate" my feedback, yet in private, their senior management gaslit me and blamed me for their own incorrect technical advice. This public apology is pure PR damage control—real sincerity would have been an honest email reply, which I am still waiting for.
I wouldn’t recommend buying complex or high‑value gear from Thomann because their pre‑purchase advice is unreliable and their support feels like pure box‑shifting.
I bought a lot of equipment and asked what I needed to connect everything safely. I was given incorrect information, so I bought the wrong cables and had to return them and purchase the correct ones myself. This was completely avoidable.
If I’d blindly followed their advice, the whole setup would have been wrong and I might have spent ages wondering why my gear sounded “off,” not realising the problem was the cables they told me to use. It was only because I did careful research afterwards that I confirmed what was actually correct.
When the gear arrived they included UK‑spec power cables even though I had clearly bought a Furman and was asking what I needed to connect it. They could have sent the right cables or just asked how I was powering the gear, but they didn’t.
I sent detailed feedback directly to a senior / upper‑level contact (not general support). The reply tried to gaslight me and blamed me, even referring to a manual for something I hadn’t even received yet. If you’ve been made to feel like it’s your fault for their bad advice, you’re not alone.
If you’re spending a lot of money on gear that has to be wired correctly, you shouldn’t expect to be treated like an Afterthought.

I started using Thomann recently. Their website is easy to use; they have lots of great stock, and their prices are really good, especially the LR Baggs M80 that I’ve just bought! Thanks.

Hi Thomann team,
This is a part of a thank you and compliments I had to give to your representative:
I wanted to take a moment to write you personally a note of appreciation and to say THANK YOU – truly, from the bottom of my heart.
Your service, your patience, your kindness, and the genuine care you showed throughout our entire conversation made this experience feel warm and human, even though we were communicating across oceans and time zones. In a world where international customer support can sometimes feel distant or impersonal, and mechanical, you turned it into something completely different: real, reliable, very professional and totally respectful.
Every interaction with you felt positive, professional, and reassuring. You gave me not just cooperation but real solutions, a real sense of trust, fairness, and the feeling that someone actually cared about making things right. This kind of dedication is incredibly rare – and honestly, it’s been the best customer service experience I’ve ever received, anywhere.
So thank you, *** – you personally made all the difference (and to the amazing team behind you and Thomann as a company – thank you too).
Please consider me not just a satisfied customer, but a very grateful and loyal one.
Warmest regards (and a big smile),
P.S. By the way… can I finally throw away all those packages now? 😂
Hope next time we will be in chat will be in a more positive crossroads . 😂
Thanks again.
Best of wishes and regards,
Sincerely yours
James
