The car that I rented was the cheapest option, but i thought It was great, the staff were nice from the Ipswich branch, and as I brought it back a few days early they kindly reimbursed me for my unused time. So couldn’t be happier, I highly recommend!

I had to hire from the Bournemouth Office for 28 days, renewing intermittently during that period. The staff could not have been more helpful, it was never any hassle, and the vehicle I was supplied with was first rate. Special mention to Sean who supported throughout, and to the gent who books the cars in and out. Friendly, kind, and very efficient.I would recommend Thrifty Bournemouth to anyone. Also, very reasonable rates.

I rent from the Heathrow branch at the Sheraton and have always been treated with the utmost courtesy. My car this time was a BMW 320i. It was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition, a real pleasure to drive.

When we arrived our luggage wouldn’t fit in the pre-ordered car and a discounted upgrade was offered. The car itself was a wonderful! A fabulous Volvo xc90.

Very poor company to deal with. Dropped my car off having filled it to the brim with fuel 100 yards away from the garage. They still charged me £22 for fuel and have not refunded despite being contacted for weeks. Do not use.

I didn't hire a car off Thrifty. That's because I wanted one for two days commencing Saturday afternoon. Guess what? They're closed Sat & Sun! Pathetic. Part-timers like Thrifty don't deserve to be in business.

Hired a car had to chase for my £750 deposit back for weeks. Handed car back 4 weeks ago still not got deposit. Was told it was paid last week and it would take 5 days max to get money back. Still not here. Now not replying to emails. Avoid

This is my second time dealing with the Sunbury branch now. Phil is an absolute delight to deal with. He’s polite, efficient and always gives you the time. His team are just as helpful, making the overall experience easy. Thanks a lot guys, looking forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Due to an electrical issue with my own Land Rover I need a car in a hurry the same day. Such a helpful and friendly team really did help in what was a stressful day nothing was to much trouble give me a good deal and a smashing Volvo car in to the bargain

Fantastic service from these guys here at in Dundee. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. People often moan when they damage a car and think they shouldn’t lose their deposit. If you’re not happy with the terms, don’t hire a car in the first place. If you damage your own car, you have to pay to get it fixed, so what’s the difference? I thought I’d point that out, as I’ve noticed customers leave bad reviews when they lose their deposit. In that case, take out the cover insurance—it’s not fair otherwise. NEVER use this company – zero customer service and very rude indeed. The manager in Hereford refused to rent me a car even though I had paid for it – I accept that I didn’t have my Passport (which she wanted to scan) but I offered to email a pdf scan from my laptop. She refused to find a way to resolve the situation and was rude and nasty. I will never use Thrifty again and advise others that they are to be avoided – if you don’t believe me read the other reviews on this thread - atrocious!

I was told to come in at 8.30am for a car swap, on arrival no one knew I was coming, stood around for over 30min while a car was sorted

4 people out the back just having a chat about what they would do if they won the lottery and a new car he wants

If they worked together I would have been in and out. Awful customer service

Got told my hire car would be ready for 8:30am so I arrived at that time, upon arrival I got told it wasn’t ready as it was being checked and cleaned and would take one hour so I took a walk came back after an hour and waited another hour lady at the counter was rude and didn’t even care I’d been waiting for 2 hours every time I asked for an update she was reluctant to give a proper answer. Eventually I got the car and it was filthy on the inside and they had been supposedly cleaning it for the last 2 hours terrible service and a big waste of time highly unreliable. Leeds Hunslet branch
