The Recce beanies are made from 100% Merino yarn from Australia. Its heavier weight than previous beanies, it fits better than previous incarnations and the construction has been improved. We operate a Kaizen approach to all products, Kaizen is the Japanese art of continuous improvement. Basically, if it’s not better than the last one, we don’t do it. Our beanies are all made in the Far East. Why? Because these guys are the best, with 30 years experience in making high-quality knits. They understand and appreciate our “it’s ready, when its ready’ philosophy and support in making numerous samples until the product is perfect. It is available in Khaki, Raven Grey & Obsidian Black and features the signature ThruDark face patch.

I have been a fan of Thrudarks products, and also the work that Louis and Staz are doing in this space, for many years now. The design, quality and durability of all the products I have purchased over the years have always been excellent and, for me at least, more than worth the investment. Highly recommended.

I'm usually very picky about beanies, this one is nearly perfect. Style and construction are tier 1. Only thing id change is the patch logo on the hat is abit too rigid to look cool when combined with sunglasses, it kinda sticks out like a shingle. The micro logo in white that's been added to the other thrudark beanie I own would have been sufficient. Cheers
