I had trouble with my clutch peddle this morning. Took it to Thrumpton.

They looked at it straight away as it wasn't driveable.

They sorted the problem out within a few hours. Very honest with the problem they had fixed. Very happy with the service they provided.

Highly recommend them if you have a problem with your vehicle.

Only had mot. A gentleman pick my car up and it was dropped off 3 hours later .

Excellent, efficient, & affordable garage, first timer here and will definitely be back in the future, Jane was incredibly helpful and informative. Full service completed quite promptly and advice on what needs to be done in the future. 10/10 recommend!

My husband has used TMC for about 15 years. Always had great and reliable service .
He can drop the car off the night before and it’s ready the next day.
He’s never wanted to go elsewhere.

I have used this garage for the last 8 years, I have always found them helpful with any job I need doing, doesn't matter how big or small, the staff are very friendly and always ready to answer any questions , they seem to always fit me in when needed, the prices are very fair, always been pleased when I have needed them

Friendly staff at a fare price will be using them again,would highly recommend them.

From start to finish first class service , was greeted by Jayne this morning cheerful and efficient , left my car for mot Jayne called me after it was done she told me the fault with my car and asked if I could leave it explaining it would be fixed by the afternoon , she called me again saying it was fixed and I could collect , on collecting my car ( all be it old ) was being washed , I couldn't believe the great service I received today let alone the amazing price , thrumpton garage highly recommended

Poor service, rude lady on reception who’s blunt and unfriendly. Unreliable when asking time frames for when things will be fixed and when you ask really politely if they have updates it’s more snappy and blunt replies followed by the phone being put down.

I really felt on edge with this garage and won’t be returning, such a shame 😔

Pre arranged for my car to be collected for a minor service and MOT at 10.00am on the 27 April: At 11.00am I telephoned Thrumpton Motors to enquire of the delay and was told that the mechanic had nearly finished the current job and would collect my car after he had delivered the car he was working on to an address nearby my home. At 1.30pm the mechanic arrived to collect my car; 3 1/2 hours later than had been arranged. The mechanic apologised and said he was working on his own, I said that Thrumpton Motors had completely ruined my day as I was expected to be in another town for lunch and was now going to have to rearrange everything. The mechanic once again apologised as I told him I was going to make alternative arrangements for my cars service and MOT.
The following morning Adrian Browne telephoned me saying he was the owner of Thrumpton Motors and aggressively asked why I cancelled my appointment for car service etc, I gave my reasons as stated above and he completely "lost it " and called me a stupid old "illegitimate person", a "fornicating person with learning disabilities."and then slammed his phone down.
I may be old but I am not stupid. If a business promises a service at a given time the least they can do is telephone to explain that there was going to be a delay for whatever reason.
I have used Thrumpton Motors for a number of years and have always found their mechanics helpful. Unfortunately the reception area has been found to be "wanting" in communicating skills.
Needless to say when the owner Adrian Peter Browne verbally abuses his customers there will be no more business coming from me or any of my family in the future...
This aggressive phone call was received on speaker phone and was therefore witnessed by a third party who can confirm the above

Shopped around to get a few quotes for a service for my car. All very similar - so decided to give Thrumpton a try. Quick turnaround. but when I picked the car up the price had gone up from the quote. The only explanation seemed to be the addition of VAT. Never had a service estimate that didn't include it before. It made the eventual price higher than anywhere else.

I started the car to find the dashboard service indicator hadn't been updated so went back to point this out. I was told that despite their best efforts they hadn't managed to do this. They did subsequently manage to rectify this as I waited but they were quite happy to let me go without mentioning it at all.

On a positive note they did wash the car but for the extra £40 I'd paid I could have organised this myself for a lot less money

I will keep it brief.

Moved down here and was looking for a reliable, trustworthy local garage to look after my car.

This is not the one. Will try elsewhere next time.
