Cheddar Cheese Ploughmans
Cheddar Cheese Ploughmans.
What an utterly disappointing and frankly condemning example of a so-called handmade sandwich. The bread crusts were genuinely stale, the tomato was dry, badly sliced and irregularly scattered, and the cucumber and lettuce were virtually non-existent. What little greenery there was looked more suitable for composting than for human consumption.
The mature cheddar was utterly tasteless, while the so-called spread was thoroughly unpalatable. And that advertised “layer of pickle”? Perhaps half a teaspoon, if you were lucky. Calling this a Ploughmans sandwich is stretching credibility to breaking point.
Bought just two days before its use-by date, it makes you wonder what condition anyone buying it a day later would encounter. Quite honestly, you have to feel sorry for them.
Worse still, this culinary disappointment had travelled over 350 miles to reach a shop in Cornwall. What an absolute waste of ingredients, money and transport.
Tiffin Sandwiches, you have to do MUCH better than this!
