My tour of Eilean Donan Castle, Loch Ness & the Glenfinnan Viaduct was an unforgettable experience. The scenery was stunning, with picturesque villages and historic sites. Our guide Mark was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared fascinating stories about Scotland's history, culture, and traditions. He was a very proud Scotsman with a great sense of humour and tailored our experience to accommodate all the passengers. He went above and beyond his duty even helping me carrying my luggage to my accommodation. We visited a variety of interesting places and even though the weather wasn’t kind to us each location still had spectacular viewpoints.The tour was well-organized, with plenty of time to explore and take photos. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the beauty and rich heritage of Scotland and hope you are lucky enough to get Mark as your guide.

Jack clearly loves his job and he is really good at it! He is an excellent storyteller and he weaved together the history and folklore of the area. The scenery of the Applecross region spoke for itself and I appreciated how expertly Jack drove tricky roads. Well done

Hi I was on the Outlander day trip with friends , Andrew T was our driver, excellent day out , Andrew was full of knowledge about the various places we stopped at, very friendly , and helpful with one of my friends who has difficulty walking at times.

Marita led us on a wonderful tour in and around Inverness, with stops at Cawdor Castle, Loch Ness, and Glen Ord distillery. A well seasoned driver, she was unflappable and punctual. She filled our drive time with stories from local lore as well as pointing out the sights as we passed.

Our driver Lawrence is the best! Very funny and know a lot of tales and history from Loch Ness, Culloden Castle and Isle of Skye. The whole journey is very nice and we were lucky that the weather was beautiful.

I took the Isle of Skye 4 day trip by myself. Our guide was Lorna, she was absolutely fantastic! I couldn't have even imagined it to be this fun and beautiful

It was great!!!! Fiona was an excellent tour guide. She explained everything and let us take pictures and also let us know the schedule so we could enjoy the trip and get ahead of restrooms stops and coffee stops. Fiona is lovely and so funny!!! We loved it. My family and I had spent an amazing time today.

It was a fabulous tour to and from Loch Ness, with many stunning stops. Its a must try if you go to Edinburgh.

The only sad part is we didn't have enough time at Loch Ness to take a boat tour.

Lawerence was great at giving wonderful incentives to make sure we all made it to the bus on time. He even picked heather for all the ladies on the bus. We’ve seen everything on the itinerary plus lots of extras like hairy coos, waterfalls and cliff views. The weather was amazing and it was such a lovely day up to Skye and back to Inverness!

My family and I had such a great trip with this company! Sterling castle is a must see with the very beautiful quintessential towns in Scotland that you go to. Our guide Stuart is very funny, knowledgeable, and plays great music!

Our driver and guide, Vix, made this a memorable day for us out in the Highlands. From the moment we set off toward Doune Castle, she blended commentary, history, and folklore in a way that made every mile feel meaningful. Her pacing was excellent—each stop offered plenty of time to explore, whether it was the sweeping views at the Rest and Be Thankful in the Arrochar Alps, the elegance of Inveraray Castle, the rushing beauty of the Falls of Dochart, or our cheerful visit with the Highland Coos. Standing on the shores of Loch Lomond brought a quiet, stirring sense of awe that lingered long after we left.
Apparently this particular Timberbush itinerary is chosen less frequently by tourists, and truly, they’re missing out. Vix’s absolute love of Scotland shone through every moment—especially her affection for the lochs and the Highlands. She spoke about their scenic beauty with such warmth and pride that it deepened the experience for everyone on board. Her thoughtful use of Scottish music throughout the day added atmosphere and made the journey feel even more connected to the land around us.

I joined the Highlands and Loch Ness tour on June 29, and it was an unforgettable 12-hour journey through some of Scotland’s most breathtaking landscapes. Every stop was beautiful, but what truly made this tour exceptional was our guide, Ryan.

From the moment we boarded the bus until the moment we said goodbye, Ryan treated every passenger with genuine kindness and respect. Although we were a large group, he made everyone feel welcome, valued, and cared for, as if we were guests rather than customers.

Ryan proudly wore the traditional Scottish kilt throughout the tour, reflecting his pride in his country’s culture and heritage. That pride was evident in everything he did. Instead of simply taking us from one location to another, he brought Scotland to life through fascinating stories, local history, fun quizzes, and carefully chosen Scottish music that perfectly matched the scenery. The long drive never felt long because he kept everyone engaged and entertained.

He was also exceptionally organized. Before every stop, he gave clear instructions and useful tips, making sure everyone knew where to go, what to see, and when to return. His great sense of humor created a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that made the whole group feel connected.

What impressed me most was that Ryan genuinely wanted every guest to have the best possible experience. He understood that people had invested both their time and money to be there, and he did everything he could to make the tour worthwhile.

By the end of the day, I hadn’t only fallen in love with Scotland’s stunning scenery—I had also developed a real appreciation for its people. Ryan is a wonderful ambassador for his country. The best way to represent your homeland is to love it and inspire others to love it too, and Ryan does exactly that.

I shared many moments from this tour on my Snapchat, where they were viewed by thousands of people over the following two days. I have more than 50,000 followers, mainly from Saudi Arabia as well as people here in Edinburgh, and the response was overwhelmingly positive because the experience was genuinely unforgettable.
