When we are in Colchester we always go to Timbers the food and service is excellent, there is a wide range of freshly cooked and locally sourced food.

Lou, Mona, Jon, Gemma and Lauren: great service, great food, GREAT GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS, lovely vibe, clean, efficient, WELCOMING. Go when in Colchester city centre

Went here at our grandson's request for his birthday. It’s become a tradition in the family and with good reason. The food is excellent, Lou uses quality ingredients, home cooked to perfection and a great price. They cater for Coeliacs which is great for my wife and for vegans too. The staff are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. We love going here to eat and have now come to refer to it as having a “cheeky Timbers” when we are in town for the day. 100% recommended.

The location of the venue and it offered great needy services for the locals and travellers also. The kitchen menu was Cafe style seating inside and out with lots of birdlike that come to visit a beautiful colourful display. They even have shower facilities for the weary traveller or the poor local who's doing home Reno's in the bathroom. The fact that you can get all this on offer i may as well mention they offer competitive fuel prices. Overall most impressed even the customer service is very good a big shout out to Jo she's very lovely and friendly she displayed a caring and friendly attitude 😊

Hats off to Lou and Pete. Very tasty breakfast and lots of it. Good quality food and very pleasant staff.
Pricing very good. Coffee or tea included in price, which is unusual nowadays.
Definitely will go back.

If you want good quality food then look no further than timbers.you will get meat from a butchers vegetable local and fresh. The people that coolk your meal will cook it to your liking so if you want crispy bacon, eggs turn over etc this is the place to come to, thank you Lou &Gemma, the ladies that wait on your table are fully professional but if you want to talk and maybe have a laugh then Ella and Maria are happy to oblige.
