We visited the shop and chose our fabric and then later asked them to make up the curtains. The staff were charming and helpful and we are very pleased with the result. they arrived about 8 weeks later, on time and well packaged no creasing!

Searching the net for Seagrass mats I found Tinsmiths and I am glad I did. Ordering was easy, 2 large mats were delivered 4 days later by DX Express at very reasonable cost for a heavy item within a pre advised 2 hr time frame. The whole experience was just excellent. I think we will make a day trip to discover Ledbury and Tinsmiths in due course. They just seem to be a great little company to me,- and very different to the impression given by a couple of other reviewers.

When I ordered 6m of extra wide linen and some curtain hooks, I didn’t receive any order confirmation. As there had been some issues with the server connection I waited a couple of days and then ordered again. This time I received the confirmation. Material arrived but no curtain hooks. I was charged twice for the material but only received one roll and no hooks. Customer service was terrible. They had sent the first order confirmation to an old email address which was no longer valid even though I had updated this on my account. As dpd had said they delivered 2 rolls they would not refund my £200. It was obvious the order had been a duplicate, Tinsmiths error in using an obsolete email address and their courier leaving the roll outside somewhere. Only one roll arrived and no curtain hooks. Apparently dpd had left the roll in a safe place (which I had not requested as we work from home). Obviously not that safe. Tinsmiths just said if you pay to send the second lot of material back they would refund the money. But I didn’t have any second roll. I was really upset about this at the time. Now I just won’t use this company anymore.

Ridiculously expensive postage cost for fabric samples . Samples are “free” but for £4.75 postage I was expecting much larger sample pieces than I received in a large letter envelope.

I am making large Roman blinds, so was delighted to find an extra wide fabric which totally suited my decor.
However, the regular pattern was not perfectly aligned with the warp/weft of the fabric so that, by keeping the pattern lines regular, the blind could not be perfectly square. Fortunately, Tinsmiths were generous with the length of fabric supplied, so I was able to use the ‘more true’ middle of the roll I received.
Quite frustrating, as it took a long time to cut out the fabric and even so, I feel the result will be less than perfect.

Fabric print was slightly damaged by the tape on the roll. Tinsmiths sent a new piece straight out with no quibble. Very happy with customer service. Fabric is pretty and unusual, also extra wide so no joining necessary! Would recommend seller.
