Avoid Tissino at All Costs
Avoid Tissino at All Costs: An Honest Review
It’s telling that I’m the first to review this brand—does that speak volumes or raise questions? I’m not sure which.
Tissino came recommended by our expert bathroom fitters, one of whom has even installed their products in his own bathroom. Their reputation as a “high-end” brand with matching prices convinced us to invest. We specifically chose Tissino for their brushed brass range, as I’m meticulous about detail and wanted all brass finishes to match perfectly. Despite their limited range of brushed brass tap/shower options, we prioritised consistency of finish over design.
Fast forward to delivery: the issues began immediately. The shower tray was left standing upright in the garage by the courier, who assured me it wouldn’t be a problem - our first sign of their lack of care! When our fitters opened it, the tray was clearly bowed and unfit for installation. Tissino acknowledged the defect, collected the tray, and sent a replacement.
Tray two? Bowed.
Tray three? Bowed.
Tray four? Bowed.
Tray five? Still bowed.
After the fifth defective tray, Tissino suddenly claimed that all their trays come with a “tolerance” of up to 5%—a policy never mentioned before!!! Even worse, James from customer service stated that all five trays would be restocked for other unsuspecting paying customers to receive!!! If the trays were “within tolerance” all along, why replace four of them in the first place???
Our honest fitters refused to install the fifth tray, warning that water could pool at one end or, worse, leak onto the floor. At almost £800 for the tray, this was unacceptable. Now, our bathroom renovation is at a standstill, and we’re devastated.
To add insult to injury:
- The Tissino tap we waited weeks for doesn’t match their other brushed brass items.
- The radiator fittings are a completely different finish to the radiator itself.
- Customer service has been appalling. I’ve spoken to James once—his unapologetic response about reshelving defective products was infuriating. Alex, the rep, has been silent.
Returning everything isn’t much of a solution either, as apparently we’ll face return fees, and replacing products now will result in mismatched brands and finishes. Meanwhile, my fitters have lost money waiting for Tissino to rectify this debacle.
Tissino’s customer service is diabolical, their product quality inconsistent, and their attitude toward resolving issues dismissive at best. Their showroom items are misleading, and nowhere is their “tolerance” policy disclosed. I’m still waiting for an answer to the question ‘How would they feel if this were their expensive bathroom renovation’?
Avoid Tissino at all costs. For a start, you don’t want to receive a defective £800 shower tray. Your fitters may not be as honest as ours. Most would just want to get the job done and move on the their next, leaving the water issue caused, for you to deal with later down the line. This also raises questions about their other expensive items and the quality - and care! - of what’s being dispatched!
Tissino have turned what should have been an exciting project into a nightmare. Choose a brand with integrity, one that values its customers and does right by them, because Tissino clearly don’t!
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid - Zero stars!
