Pay a bit more for a professional service
I regret choosing Total Interiors Worcester for my kitchen and flooring installation. The experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, riddled with poor workmanship, miscommunication, and delays.
Key Issues:
Flooring:
The laminate flooring was improperly installed, causing levelling issues. Instead of addressing the problem, they glued the flooring as a "fix."
The floor was scratched twice—once when moving the fridge and again during their failed attempt to fix the floor.
Promises to install the flooring correctly were not kept, and the blame was shifted to me.
Kitchen:
Poor finish on the worktop and upstand, which didn’t meet basic standards.
The sink was installed incorrectly, and attempts to resolve it were disappointing.
Cabinets and drawers were poorly aligned, with one knob completely misaligned and a drawer not functioning correctly.
Under the worktop, the finish was visibly substandard.
Communication and Delays:
Constant delays, often communicated at the last minute, caused significant inconvenience.
We were left without heating during sub-zero temperatures because they failed to prioritise the kitchen work as agreed.
Despite requests, there was no clear breakdown of costs or work completed.
Appliances:
They initially claimed my washing machine wouldn’t fit in the designated space, only to measure later and confirm it would—but only after the work was completed. They then suggested I pay extra to have it swapped.
Outcome:
Despite numerous attempts to communicate my concerns and provide feedback, their response was inadequate. For the amount of money we spent, we expected a professional, high-quality finish, but the result looks like a kitchen and flooring that have been in use for years.
