decent products and horrible customer service

Their products are decent but not unique or special enough to justify their horrible customer service.

I made an online purchase and received the wrong items. They weren't just wrong sizes but entirely different products.

When I went through the online exchange process, I was told I could receive the actual items I originally ordered if I paid the difference between the original sale price and what they were listed for on date of return.

I've emailed and called about this problem multiple times and have gotten no responses.

Pretty sure that their solution to my problem is illegal, but I'm not a lawyer.

Look elsewehere for a quality and honesty.

Just another good company that has gone to bad customer service. I made a clothing purchase from Toad &Co. on a Wednesday and then 2 days later a 20% off sale happened. I called and asked for a price adjustment and was told I missed the 48 hour window. I explained that I had received an email on a Friday for early access and then was told it would not matter because I used "toad points" on the order and therefore I have already received a discount and you cannot double stack discounts. I told the rep that I went on the website while the sale was going on to see what my new total would be and also used toad points at the checkout and was allowed to double stack discount. The rep told me it must be an error and that is not supposed to happen. I also noted to the rep that in their points section, it explains that you can use toad points and discounts together. It also notes in this section that if you return your item that was purchased in conjunction with part toad points, you will not be given your points back to spend on your next purchase. That is an awful policy and just another way that they can keep money and pretend to make the consumer feel like they are getting something when in fact it is just another greedy company. Also of note, their clothes drastically change color / fade after one wash. Look elsewhere for a quality and honesty.

This company offered the MOST wasteful…

This company offered the MOST wasteful solution when I asked for a price adjustment. The garment hasn’t even arrived to my house yet & their site is now offering 20% off everything. Instead of offering me another partial discount to make a total discount of 20% they told me they don’t offer “discounts upon discounts.” I wasn’t asking for more than 20% off the original price. I realize I rec’d a TINY discount when I ordered the item originally - but I would like the 20% off. They told me I could SHIP the item back for a RETURN, where the item would end up in their warehouse and possible be purchased by someone else before I bought it again. No effing thanks. What a wasteful solution, supposedly from a company that cares about the environment.

Shady resale practices!

I have used the Resale side of Toad & Co. a few times and been very happy. Similar to Worn Wear with Patagonia, fill out the form send in your items that no longer fit - get a gift card. This last time however I sent in two painr of beautiful lined overalls - one tan and one dark green. I bought the tan pair and wore them a few times and loved them so much I bought the other color. By the time it was pants season again they no longer fit and didn't look good on me so I turned them in. The green pair had never been worn once, They were stored in a zip bag in my closet. I was quoted $30/pair. Fine keep them going around right? Well when they email me "zero dollars not eligible for trade in" I was confused and wanted answers
"They were damaged" was the answer.
"no absolutely not, one was in new condition!?"
"They were dirty sorry"
NO!? Again- they were absolutely not?! Was there damage in shipping?! Nothing, no proof no nothing just. "Sorry let me know if you have any other questions"

Sell your clothes elsewhere friends! There is some shady business going on here!

Quite Possibly My Favorite Brand

I absolutely love Toad&Co. I think I have been buying their clothing for more than 10 years at this point. Without fail, I get so many compliments when I wear something from them. I love their ethos, their styles, and their sustainability initiatives.

Subpar Quality @ Premium Prices

First off, not sure how sustainable a company can claim to be when their products are indeed, made in China. Have bought about ten different garments from them, because some of the fabrics are great for travel & love the inclusion of wool in their winter products. However, my most recent interaction with the company, when returning a falling-apart t-shirt with their joy-backed guarantee, has left me sour! The tee was less than 6-months old, had never been in the dryer and was unraveling/fraying at all of the serged seams!! When I returned the item I was given a store credit for less than my price paid! What??! As if I want to purchase more subpar, made in China clothing for a ridiculous price?! No thank you. It’s time to get the word out on this company. Not what they’re cracked up to be. Agree with the other reviews here, that they filter their customer reviews posted on their website, too!

Misleading return policy

I bought three items on Toad + Co and three items on Toad Again. The websites are linked but the RETURNS for ‘Again’ purchases is not the same at the main site. I bought two dresses on ‘Again’. One fits, the other is huge. I tried to return the oversized one and was told my reason was not acceptable and it would be unfair to the seller to return it. WHAT? It is defective. The garment was made wrong. Also, the reason for the rejection of the return was sent by a third party and I had to hunt thru spam to find it. All other emails were sent to my inbox. It’s a scam. They said I could resell it thru ‘Again’. WHAT? So the clothing on ‘Again’ comes from someone’s house?! I was so encouraged about this company and their sustainability policy. I assumed the ‘sale’ items were leftover from another season as is usually the case on clothing sites. They should not have ‘Again’ accessible from their main site if it’s a different deal. Never again.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. Like the two previous reviewers here on Trustpilot, I submitted an honest, thoughtful review on Toad&Co and it was never published. I had to return the skirt I ordered because it did not fit as described on their website and was not the color shown on their website. I was also very disappointed with the quality of the fabric.

Untrustworthy

I ordered 2 items and one came damaged. I wanted to return the damaged item and they charged me a restocking fee. I left a review with pictures over a month ago on both items, one positive and one less so and they have yet to post it and I doubt they ever will. I don’t trust their reviews and would not order from them again despite really liking one of the items.

Quality Clothing, Great Customer Service

I submitted a 3 star review of a shirt, and verified my email address as they requested. It's now 4 weeks later and my review has not been posted. I lost count, but the first 25 reviews on their site are all 5 star - seems like they didn't post mine because it was 3 star. I contacted them and they claimed they would post it in the next several days. Never did.
I no longer trust their reviews. Too bad since I like their clothes but rely on accurate reviews on sizing, fit and quality in making decision on whether to purchase something.
On positive note they did process and issue credit for return on a timely basis.
