Excellent coffee
Excellent
Great pods, worked fine in my machine and definitely superior taste to my normal nespresso branded ones. Delivery quick and no hassles.
Very tasty coffee and speedy delivery…
Very tasty coffee and speedy delivery too. I’m about to place my second order.
I
Great pods
Great pods, more complex and interesting flavours than the big name brand.
Now buying these for home and office
October 2017 order...
I ordered a voyager selection in October. Having already tried Pact pods which I loved (apart from a few extraction issues which I also have with toast pods) I didn't think I'd find an alternative coffee pod that could rival it.
I do love the flavour of the coffee pods though especially the Brazil ALTA VISTA. The flavour notes are amazing and I find toast coffee pods are much preferable to nespresso pods.
Though I love the coffee and the ease of purchasing, for me they are a tad too expensive to switch to for everyday drinking. For this reason and a few infrequent extraction issues I gave the pods a 4 star rating. I do recommend trying these pods though.
Not the best we've had.. but great customer service
Like others, we read the Independent's taste test online and ordered the Voyager box of 75 pods, on the strength of it. Delivery was quick and efficient, with good communication. So far, we have not been affected by any pod failures but we just didn't enjoy the coffee. We found it a little watery, with an unpleasant aftertaste from the Sumatra pods. Coffee can be subjective of course - but we have reverted to the Nespresso pods.
Update: Immediate response, apology and refund - so I'm very happy with the customer service. They are tweaking the roast and will be using a new pod type shortly - so maybe we will be luckier next time around.

I read the "independent" (fake?) review …
I read the "independent" (fake?) review also and was impressed enough to move away from the brand provider for my Nespresso machine. The reality is different. Aside the PR inferring superior quality and the quality process not allowing shipment of one type of product - this purchase was a HUGE disappointment.
First, the plastic container is flimsy and buckles; technical experts tell me that it doesn't allow the machine to pressure up properly hence the low stream flow and the machine not metering properly. I too have tried this product in my different machines - same result. Rarely, do I get a full fill - at any setting. Second, coffee grounds (too fine?) make it into the mix; thirdly and, most crucial, the coffee is weak and thin, lacking in strength and body, flavour and colour. There is little or no crema, in any variety, and the absence of any distinct aroma separating the varieties is curious.
Yes I'm a Brit but having lived in Rome for many years I know my coffee. Traditional coffee it is not; Artisan - well, if it is, you can keep it!!!!
This is simply not worth the money and is probably the worst coffee I have tasted - ever!!!!!!!!!
Update
Within hours of my posting this review Toast Coffee had responded and a refund was issued within 24 hrs. We also exchanged a couple of emails about my experience. Clearly these folks have a real passion about their product and want to get it right; moroever, they are refreshingly pro-active and honest in their own critical analysis - a rare commodity these days!!! So, thanks Jack for the swift and professional manner by which this 'experience' was resolved....so the stars are upgraded in order not to skew the average. I look forward to a better experience next time around?

Updated review
This company should stop selling those pods. I have preordered the on 21st of September and as soon as they arrived I was very excited about trying something new. All absolutely amazing until you put the pods in your coffee machine. Just to confirm I have tried them on 3 different machines including new uMilk one. 4 out of 5 pods are getting stuck in machine so you have to put your fingers to be able to remove them. If you lucky your pod will be pinched and you will get a cup of coffee that taste horrendous, sour bland flavour and the coffee colour comparing to original pods is see through liquid of brownish colour. I regret spending almost £30 for those pods and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Shame I cannot post the video of how terrible those are but I will definitely upload video somewhere else. If you like to swear each morning trying to make a cuppa look somewhere else and don't let them take your hard earned money away. I'm going to bin rest of them as I don't want to damage my machine.
------
I would like to update my review based on the fact that I have been given refund and the customer service was great. I have updated company on the machines I'm using and hopefully if the design is fixed I will be able to enjoy their coffee.
Thanks

I think the coffee is probably good …
I think the coffee is probably good (from what I can taste) it just comes out incredibly watery because the pods are poor. They leak like crazy, and often need 2 or 3 attempts at closing for them to puncture properly.
Will buy again, but not until the pods are sorted out.
The Pods of Doom... or maybe not
Earlier this year, The Independent rated Toast Coffee pods the best of all Nespresso-compatible pods. I'm mystified. Having tried about a dozen of them, I'm throwing the rest out. The problem is that up to half of them don't work. In fact, I fear they may be damaging my machine. It grinds and groans and rasps and rattles, but nothing will persuade it do deliver more than a trickle of coffee. To make things worse, it's then difficult to expel the pods. I have to use so much force that I fear it may damage the machine. There are problems with other pods, too, but Toast have been the worst by some way.
UPDATE: I have had an immediate response from Toast Coffee, refunding my payment in full. Since I was asked to identify my machine, and to specify its age, I now think it likely that the pods may work well in other machines. In acknowledgment of Toast's professionalism, I am adding a couple of stars to my review.

Totally disappointing (initially)
Initially I was encouraged to purchase and the pre-order response was prompt but post order was non existing . To top that, the 200 capsules I purchased in June will expire in August of the same year , that's 2 months .I definitely DO NOT recommend purchasing from this company .
UPDATE : 4 stars (2 for customer service and 2 for coffee)
I was contacted by toast coffee and was offered full refund, very professional approach to resolve the issue.
Now the coffee, I had a chance to try Ethiopia and I must admit, it is really good (and I have tried many brands). The texture is smooth yet it has that perfect robust coffee taste in addition to minute flavors here and therein every sip. No regret in purchasing at all. Hopefully, my next purchase will have longer shelf life.

Delicious coffee and speedy delivery.
Really good coffee
Really good coffee, I especially enjoy the subtle flavours of Columbia with hints of plum, cherry and caramel. Excellent service. I would recommend to anyone.
Highly recommended
Highly recommended. Brilliant coffee and brilliant service.
Toast Coffee
Toast Coffee. Coffee good. Capsules however seemed to contain a bit less than the standard nespresso ones, meaning that a 'large' shot was slightly weak.
The coffee is very good but I had …
The coffee is very good but I had several issues with the pods: not allowing the coffee to flow through every time.
Delicious
Efficient delivery and superb coffee - vastly superior to the standard Nespresso pods, which I find one-dimensional in comparison. Impressed, I will order again.
Great coffee
Great coffee. Arrived next day in beautiful packaging. Exactly as ordered. Would highly recommend!
