I would give Tonbridge Taxis 0 stars if I could. They confirmed by email they would be picking me and my family up at 6am to take us to Gatwick for our summer holiday and then never showed. I called repeatedly that morning and it went to a mobile number that was obviously rejecting my calls. No follow-up from them or apology/ email explanation. We almost missed our flight and the entire experience was deeply stressful and upsetting.
They should really stick to local journeys and not sell themselves as a dependable airport taxi. Distinctly unprofessional, inconsiderate and rude. Beware - this is not a business you should count on.

Do not use their booking service - a complete waste of time. It looks really good at the time, but although you will get a booking reference etc that doesn’t mean your booking has been accepted. You have to wait until you get an email/telephone confirmation otherwise, as we found out yesterday stranded in the countryside without Internet signal, it doesn’t exist. If they can’t run an online booking system efficiently then get rid off it and go back to taking telephone bookings only.

Didn’t turn up to a airport booking. Even received a confirmation email, and we called to doh me check, came to the morning, nope, no one knew anything about it! Definitely avoid

Not impressed at all. Following a quote obtained online, I was shocked to receive a confirmatory email with a price increase. When questioning this I was told this is the new price. This behaviour is dishonest, misleading and highly unprofessional.

They took my wife to Heathrow without any problems. So she gave them the flight details for her return. On her return she couldn't find a taxi driver who was looking for her. That was hardly surprising because they had forgotten the little matter of entering it into their system - so no taxi was there at all. Called their office to see what was happening - but just got their answerphone. Left 2 ignored messages but they did pick up on my 3rd attempt.
So a nice long wait after a nice long-haul flight. Thank you Tonbridge Taxis - won't make the mistake of using you again.

Awful. Promise you a taxi from a bloke in a car with obviously his kids in, doesn’t turn up, phone to chase and instantly, tell me they haven’t got a booking without asking any questions. Avoid.

I had two bad experiences with this company in the last 3 weeks.

1. Ordered a cab from the airport for a pickup and the guy was 30 minutes late. I eventually found him with my name scribbled on the back of a cornflake packet after calling twice.

2. Ordered a cab from my local back to my house, and the guy didn't bothered to put the meter on then charged me off the top of his head, which amounted to the same price for a journey twice the distance.

They seem an amateur set-up. Will not use them again.
