Dropped a van off at our place of work and the drivers door left a deep scratch in my 1 month old car. Didn't come and say he had done it and drove away. Luckily we have CCTV of it.

Great recovery by Damo on Thursday 6th July. Arrived to collect a broken down hire car which had a ripped left tyre.

Gary H is an absolute credit to your company. He made what could and should have been a terrible day into a very pleasant experience, and who can honestly say that when they've broken down?! We broke down 300 miles away from home and as soon as the RAC notified Tonkin Gary was on his way to us. He was an absolute ray of sunshine at a time when I was starting to loose it. He was truly incredible with my 5 year old boy who was going a little crazy with his ADHD after waiting for 8 hours (but that was the fault of RAC!). Gary is kind, capable, friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and back on our way home and I was truly shocked when I asked him how long he'd done this as he responded just 7 weeks! Gary was clearly made to help people in their hour of need. I truly have never met anyone with such a bright personality as that of Gary. Probably one of the worst company I’ve ever dely with

I broke down on the a30. I called tonkin and they suggested not just a tow but tech/mechan to come out and see if he can fix this.
The tech guy came and with in couple minutes he tells me “ I’ve checked the lines and there is fuel and it’s your fuel pump that is faulty”.
Got the recovery truck to tow us.
Next day got a mechanic to replace fuel pump.
Turns out the tech guy didn’t touch the lines and it was a blocked fuel line. The pump was and is fully working. The mechanic cleared the line and done the job in 20 mins.

Tonkin say the tech guys only suggest what wrong with it £240 suggestion and a £230 tow. Thanks Tonkin for robbing me.
I tried to speak with the manager and all I get is” All diagnosis we make at the roadside are “suspected” faults as Roadside Technicians do not have access to the full range of diagnostic equipment and tooling they would in a workshop setting“.

I’m sorry the tech guys don’t carry a screwdriver?

I was picked up from St Merryn on 28 June 21 by the most wonderful driver and dropped off in Yelverton. After an almost nine-hour wait (RAC's fault, not Tonkin), it was such a relief to see a friendly face who not only took care of our car, but was also just lovely to chat to on the way home. Thinking of cancelling my RAC membership and just ringing these guys directly in future. Fantastic service!

Recovery driver was considerate and took care when loading my car as well as helping me leave it exactly where I wanted. Best recovery service I’ve had.

I had the pleasure of working for Tonkin recovery, during there time taking over another recovery firm. I have done the job for 10 years and I can say Tonkin are a busy company. I was always very well looked after. Appricate my time there and wish them all the best. Great trucks. Highly trained staff. It's a life style not a job. We love it. If you want to get home on time and safe then these guys can do it.

Left me and my van because the road didn't even phone to tell me they weren't coming to get me. On a cold winter's night cheers!!!!!
