Incredible Noise reduction and sharpness capabilities. Photos that I was going to trash can now be used and are great.

DeNoise AI works ok and is easy and intuitive to use, but it is not at all as powerful and useful as advertised. It might occasionally help you make some photos marginally better. Sometimes it actually ads noise to a picture instead of taking it away! Most of the time it neither helps or hurts.

Hi Philip,

Thanks for your feedback. I would strongly recommend you experiment with the different models available in DeNoise AI with your particular images.

Also, it's specifically trained to remove noise, so if there is no noise, there may not be much of a difference, and if the files are film
scans, grain and noise are not quite the same thing, so you may not see strong results on files that contain film grain rather than digital noise. Often one of the models would still work though.

This is a pretty good product. The algorithm works well and has help me save sone pretty bad photos. I do find it can remove detail from some photos, for example, the fur on horses can come out with no texture at all. It is also very expensive for what it is, but overall it's a pretty good product.

Andrew,

Hi, and thanks for reaching out.

I would recommend using different models within the app. Some of them are particularly good with hair and fur details while some are not a fine tuned. You may just need to try to see which one you like best, but y ou can definitely preserver and improve thi
s type of details with some of the models.

this is a game changer! shot a wedding for a friend and the ISO was cranked. got home to see the mistake. and down loaded TOPAZ. saved the day! so i dried it on a shot of Jupiter i did. and WOW!

I didn't realize my previous review was for Topaz the company, rather than Denoise AI. I won't go into the same detail, so, I'll simply say that for Adobe users: the new native noise AI tool is as good, if not better, than Topaz. DXO's offering (PureRaw) does a better job of retaining sharpness and details.
