Overall I believe it is okay but I am not sure if it is the best in my opinion for human faces. I might be not very knowledgeable on using this product. This is my personal experience.

DeNoise AI isn't intended to do do anything specific with faces. It should just be removing noise in general from the image. Topaz Photo AI and Gigapixel AI both have face specific models that are designed to restore faces from low quality files, but this is not something DeNoise AI is specifically intended to do.

DeNoise AI has a straightforward save as dialogue box so I'm not sure what the conflict is that you are having, but we'd certainly like to clear up any confusion if there is any.
If our support team could be of assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Perhaps you are using an third party host editor?
For example, Apple Photos will create temp files that are sent to us from obscure locations and the plugin will overwrite that file in the temp folder. That is a product of Apple Photos though but it's the only thing I can think of where the output may be hard to find.

Solid platform does the job well
I use this as a second step to either Gigapixel AI or Photo AI for even better clarity
I bought this product to breathe new life into my Canon 5Ds. We all know high ISO on Canon 5Ds is not good, period. With rolling blackouts in our county I have to shoot on 800 to 1000 ISO on my 600Watt battery flash light and I need to shoot at f11 to get the group of 200plus people in focus. This software is the bomb for me and makes my images print well on 30cm x 60cm wide paper.
Works. As advertised. Extremely well !
This is very good with Panasonic cameras. The image was so clean and crisp. My other go to is DeepPrime but this is just easier in the workflow and maybe a little better with added sharpness.
This product gives excellent results, and doesn't seem to have any of the instability of Sharpen AI.
