I needed a blueprint to feel confident during interviews. I needed to know my weaknesses and strengths and how to sell myself.
TopInterview did more than what I expected. They taught me to take nothing for granted, and most importantly, what not to do during interviews. I had four wonderful deep sessions that helped me fine-tune my interview skills in three main areas: targeted preparation, self-confidence, and enthusiasm. I loved the summary comments that were provided to me by Nick. I was able to revise them, listen to my voice, and make appropriate changes based on my weaknesses. I rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed and every time I got feedback and encouragement. I was truly inspired by my coach who I got to know at a personal level. He inspired me and I inspired him.
I went to the interview with a mindful peace. I knew it would be great. I was relaxed during the interview, but focused and collaborative and flexible. I received great feedback from my interviewers and am patiently awaiting their final decision. Amy is the best! I loved working with Amy on my mock interviews. Amy prepared me so well for my job interviews (I had total three rounds of interviews with different interviewers), and guess what! I got the job. What I loved about each session is that Amy analyzed and predicted what each round of the interview will be like and prepared the mock interview questions accordingly. Amy's written analyses were so helpful too. During my actual interviews, I felt ready for all the questions asked because Amy had covered all the questions! I am so glad I signed up for TopInterview! I'm very thankful for your help in interview! I got new job!!! I met 4 people in 2 different days when I was interviewed. My current direct manager (senior solution architect) and his director asked me tons of questions, but I felt confident and knew all answers. I've made a plan for myself while preparing to those interviews and always kept in mind your advise about "be positive, nothing bad about previous boss and job, good examples and those people are not my friends" - all that helped a lot to stay calm and confident in what I know and what I said.

I have been working with Nick from Top Interviewer. His coaching, guidance and suggestions definitely helped me obtain my new position. He was always available if I had a question out of the ordinary. He helped me fine tune my resume and LinkedIn and told me what certain questions to expect from interviewers. I waited on writing this recommendation as I wanted to include news of my job offer as evidence of Nick D's effective coaching. I worked with Nick D on honing my interview skills, which helped tremendously during the real interviews. Nick is a fountain of knowledge and sharp as a whip. He came to our sessions well-prepared and focused, and always concluded with useful resources for me to study and utilize. We focused primarily on behavioral questions; Nick helped me see how some of my answers were eliciting the wrong impression and we strategized on better ways to approach each question. Our practice sessions were recorded so I could go back and view my mistakes and see myself from the perspective of the interviewers.

All in all, it was a lot of work, but very much worth the time and effort. I gained very good interview and communication skills that I will use for a long time. I highly recommend Nick D and thank him for his thorough insights and dedication to helping me improve.

The Right Coach to Land The Right Job! Nick D’s approach to coaching should be taught in schools. Deciding to leave my long time employer was nerve-racking. I had so many doubts and was extremely anxious about it all. Until I met Nick, who should really be called Dr. Nick… I was scared I was making a mistake. I did not hate my job, but I wanted to challenge myself in new ways and make a career change. He provided me coaching around not just acing the interview but really landing the right job. He also provided much-needed insights on nervous habits that were taking away from my message. This helped boost my confidence and helped me get rid of any doubts I had.

Overall, I was very impressed with Nick’s skills and the way that he goes above and beyond to ensure that you land your dream job. His method inspired and challenged me- I would describe them as a bit of an art and a science. His methods are a bit of an art and a science, which made the actual job interviews a breeze. One thing I was not expecting was for him to be so thorough. I would send the job description I was interviewing for and he would research all of the company details and created a practice interview that set me up to succeed.

If you have a choice in coaches, I would definitely recommend Nick. He is knowledgeable in the field and must have a high emotional intelligence because we was able to provide me with tips on how to be self-aware during the interview to help stop my nerves from getting the best of me. I needed that and thank him for all of his hard work.

Let me start by saying this was the best decision I made was purchasing the interview coaching. Not only did I learn how to improve my delivery during the interview process but I also gained the confidence I needed to land a career. I had taken a sabbatical for more than 3 years after taking care of my elderly parents. Prior to signing up for the interview coaching I felt beat down after leaving several job interviews.

After my first meeting with Nick from TopInterview, I was fortunate to have had a scheduled interview the next day. I did very well during the HR phone interview and a few days later I met with the hiring manager, then on to interview with the executive team.

Overall, I was very impressed with Nick’s skills and the way that he goes above and beyond to ensure that you land your dream job. I sent him a listing of the job I was interviewing for and he researched all of the company details that he used for the practice interview to ensure I knew all that was expected by the company.

I wish I would've done this sooner. I could not be more thrilled with my experience! Nick is the best!!! TopInterview far surpassed all of my expectations! Nick did his homework-he was thorough and prepared. Not only did he have great questions, but he offered insight to interview questions asked. The entire session offered an abundance of knowledge. I was able to get professional expertise on a few questions that I personally found difficulties with on previous interviews. I had a very short window to schedule an interview coach and had zero experience in finding one. I have had multiple phone and in-person interviews in search of the next move for my career but couldn't seem to convert them to job offers.

Upon landing an interview for an exciting new opportunity at my current employer in another city, I knew I had to take it to the next level and get some professional coaching. The recruiter told me it would be a group interview w/ a panel of 5 and I have a tendency to stumble on myself in a tense setting like that.

In a few short days (less than a week), I was able to submit my resume and job posting, have a recorded coaching session, and receive some extremely helpful feedback from Nick.

The session went smoothly as he has experience in my industry and helped answer some of my questions about how to best tackle things like "what are your weaknesses," "examples of big mistakes," and questions to ask at the end (ALWAYS ask good questions for interviewers). The recording also exposed some of my vocal tics like pausing, speaking/thinking too fast, and looking more nervous than I should. It was difficult to watch but EXTREMELY helpful. He was able to turnaround a very helpful report with some great coaching videos and articles which gave me some much needed info.

However, I feel like the most valuable thing I paid for was CONFIDENCE. Especially on the job hunt, my "realistic" attitude tends to become "pessimistic" and affects how I present myself to potential employers. Nick made me feel like this was my job to lose and pointed out all of my strengths (not in a "braggy" way but a realistic, solid track record way) in a way that made me feel calm and confident about taking this leap in my career. The interviewers gave me a chance to make a final elevator pitch and I feel like the bullet-points in my head helped construct a confident answer that led to an offer.
