Extremely disappointing!

Extremely disappointing!

We paid AUD22,000.00 upfront for SEO migration of our website from Magento to Shopify.

The development of our new store was delayed by 3 months, during which time we had almost no contact with TopRankings.

When we gave them the updated launch date, they wanted us to pay them again for an entire new migration (with a discount!) though they had only spent at most a few hours on our website migration work at that time.

They suddenly claimed it was a $7000+ per month 'retainer'! Given that we exchanged perhaps 1 to 2 emails per month during that time, and that they did a total of about 10% of the work in their 'scope, and quote', this seemed outrageous to me.

We left them immediately as our trust in them was completely destroyed by the lack of integrity and honesty. We paid a second agency to do the migration work, and it cost a fraction of what we had already paid.

Be very wary of this company, and read any foot-notes in your quote/invoice. Ours said: 'work to be completed within 90 days'....they took that to mean '90 day retainer'. And honestly, I read only the task list which was long and extensive, but didn't get done, because we didn't get to the stage it was needed while with them.

I had used them in 2018 for a migration and it went well, not like this.

I would not recommend them.

In addition, their method seemed very stuck in the past...like a google doc where we made notes to each other in different colours, no tickets or anything more 'trackable. It was messy and difficult to read and follow. ie scroll to the end to see what the latest replies are, though there could also be new replies anywhere in the doc so you might miss those as all topics are mixed together in the same doc!

The thing that stood out most for me

The thing that stood out most for me, in addition to the high level of professionalism, is the honesty and decency, Top Rankings upholds. To me, as a business owner, choosing the right people who are genuine and whom I can trust to have my best interest at heart is always my directive and Top Rankings was the best choice I made for my business.
