Great Product
Bought 1 of the V2's just before xmas and was so impressed with it, I went back on and bought another for my brother. Works great with DCS and as much as I liked the cap version, this is even better and even more stable. Havent had a single problem with either of the items Ive bought. Would highly recommend at the price.

Excellent value. Easy to use
The hardware/ software was extremely easy and intuitive to set up and calibrate. After more than a month of significant use on Microsoft flight sim 2024i have had virtually no issues while using Trackhat. It has made the simulator much more immersive. While I have a fairly high-end system im not keen on VR at this time and I think Trackhat is as good as you can expect short of VR. Would recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to level-up their gaming/simming experience.
Good Trackir replacement
I think this one is better than the TrackIR I had, that died. Pretty fast shipping across the pond. Packaging didn't survive fully, but the tracker was unharmed. Plugged in and worked immediately. Support video was easy, and fast to follow along getting settings right. Worked in MS2020 with no issues at all.

Trackhat is brilliant …
Trackhat is brilliant even though I had a problem at first my sensor was over exposing but one email telling the boss that I had a problem another to show him what was going on and he instantly knew how to correct and since then its been plain sailing fantastic 15 out of 10, a pucker piece of kit.
Trackhat experience
Take time to setup but when you known how to move your head and setup the curves ,dead zone and smoothing it really a must have

I initially wrote a negative review of the TrackHat as I couldn't get it to work, but James got in contact with me and was great in sorting out the issue and getting me flying.
I thoroughly recommend the TrackHat for sim flying. I previously used a TrackIR and the TrackHat is as good, if not better, especially as you're not tethered to your computer with the TrackIR leds on your hat/headphones.
However, I'll stand by my initial claim that trying to contact TrackHat (at the moment) is a pain. James apologised and mentioned in his email that he's having issues with it so hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Problem solved in five minutes over the phone.
Just goes to show that when two people go to the trouble of trying to understand each other, you get results.
But I'm only giving them 4 stars because after-sales service is sorely lacking. It's a shame because James makes good products and this lack can be detrimental.

Return left me feeling frustrated
I received the product promptly, which was a good start, but unfortunately, it didn’t work to meet my needs. When I tried to contact customer service to authorise a return, I ran into several obstacles. There was no email address available on the website, and although there was an online chat option, it didn’t respond to my enquiry.
Overall, the product may perform well in other situations, but the lack of accessible customer service and missing contact details on the website felt outdated and frustrating. Improving these areas could really enhance the customer experience, especially in today’s market where support accessibility is crucial.

It's fantastic
It's fantastic. After setting it up to my needs, I find it perfect. I only use them on flight simulators for now and I'm absolutely satisfied. The product is highly recommended for those like me who don't want to wear a mask for VR flight. This Track gives great satisfaction.

Great product but the customer support…
Great product but the customer support is very poor.
My V2 failed so I emailed support. James asked me a few questions. He said my product was out of warranty but he would look at it and fix/replace it. I was very happy with this response so I sent my V2 to the address that James supplied at a cost of £5.20.
Royal mail told me the post code that James had supplied was incorrect so I am currently waiting to get it back from them. (Royal Mail are not the most responsive either)
I have emailed James twice to ask for a correct address but I have not had a response as yet. Looking at the other reviews, they have issues with spam filtering, this is something that can be rectified. James has said in other reviews to contact support via the online chat. I have never had a response from the online chat.
Edit:If you send individual emails, James does reply. If you reply to an email thread, the spam filter blocks it. It appears Royal Mail are currently delaying my return, once I have it back and sorted I will be happy to revise my listing.
Small company? Probably. Busy? Probably. This is no excuse for poor customer service.

Fast shipping and very good hardware/software
Fast shipping, and the TrackHat works extremely well.
Trackhat will do right by you.
Trackhat shipped quickly and cleanly even across the ocean. Their hardware is simple and robust, and the software easy to customize. It takes some setting up and time spent to read, but its really clean in comparison to the other options on hand.
Replaced faulty unit without any problem
After initially thinking this was ideal I'm afraid my opinion has changed drastically. The unit keeps freezing or failing completely. I've tried the online chat but although it says someone is online their is never a response. I therefore tried email and this time I did get a reply from James Allen. A number of things were tried to get it to work and initially I thought the problems had been resolved, unfortunately they haven't. I contacted again and as of today ( 19/9/2024) I am still waiting . Update: sent my original unit back and James confirmed it was indeed faulty. A replacement was sent out and it is now up and running perfectly

Well worth the money.
Delivered within the time given on the website, the package was so small I thought I had been sent a wrong item, it turns out the Trackhat V2 is a lot smaller than I gave it credit for, it blends in so well with the rest of my set up, it’s small and I was worried if it was too big it would stand out and look ridiculous, turns out I was wrong and I barely even notice it’s there. This is a fantastic piece of kit and well worth the money, I was between this and a trackir 5, I took the chance on this and do not regret my decision, I use it for American truck simulator and Euro truck simulator 2, I disabled all functions except yaw and only use it to look left and right, if you have never used open track or have little experience with it I would absolutely recommend going to the Trackhat website and watching James’s video, he explains how the software works so well and does it in a way that makes it really easy to understand, without this it can seem overly complicated, I was able to get it set perfectly for me very quickly, I will definitely be using this company again.
