Very enjoyable day getting to learn how to tow with an instructor who puts you at your ease straight off the bat,having never towed before this course is definitely worth doing ,Thankyou Trailer Dave for making it all worthwhile.

Very detailed and enjoyable course. Picked up many tips that was a real bonus.

Completed a full day training on a twin axle caravan and so pleased that I chose Dave Griffin as my trainer.
Dave has a vast amount of experience and knowledge that he is happy to pass on and can tailor a course to your exact requirements.
The resources provided as part of the course will take weeks to go through but are a confirmation of Dave's enthusiasm to create long-term safe habits in his students.
Reversing exercises were conducted in a safe off road area and the extensive on the road route was designed to become increasingly challenging as he built my confidence to deal with specific challenges generated by towing a larger caravan.
There is no way that the training companies which use small trailers could come close to providing the experience that Dave's training provides.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dave Griffin to all caravanners, from novices to those people looking to 'upgrade' to heavier and wider caravans.

I booked this course with Dave as I purchased a brand new single axle caravan which I have never towed, after swapping from a MH. I wanted a one day course to run through the basics, but also to give me the experience and confidence of towing a caravan on multiple different types of road with the back up of having someone next to me who knows what they're doing! Dave's course ticked every box, from caravan safety and handy tips we then moved onto reversing before heading out and towing. The course includes a lot of driving so you really do pick up good experience of towing in the real world. I have now gone away in the caravan 7 days later, confident, happy and safe knowing I’ve got Dave just a phone call away, I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn to tow!

We learned a lot from Dave. Not least how to reverse a caravan. He has a pleasant manner and knows his subject very well. A good teacher. Money well spent

Well what a great day! My husband and I did the course together, mostly because although he’s already towed the caravan a few times, he wanted proper instruction on how to reverse it, I wanted to learn it all! First of all we did the theory side of things, all very interesting and informative, picked up lots of hints for general caravanning as well. Then we went onto hooking up the caravan, something that’s not usually my job, so I had a lot to learn, one thing being how the breakaway cable actually works…. I’m sure you can guess what I thought🙄. Then we practiced the reversing , both in straight lines and turning onto a pitch, I was OK but hubby was better, only because he watched and listened to what I was doing wrong, but hey that’s all part of learning! At this point I’ll tell you I’m a lady in my 60’s and apart from towing tiny trailers years ago (which i had to unhitch to turn around), I haven’t towed anything. I did most of the driving, we did motorways, dual carriage ways, through towns and villages, and along narrow country roads, I couldn’t have been in safer hands than having Dave guiding and directing me all the while. He’s a fountain of knowledge and is very keen to share it. I think I drove about 100 miles 😳. When we got back to the storage site, we asked to do some more reversing to reinforce what we did earlier, Dave was very obliging, also asking if there was anything else we needed to know. There didn’t seem to be a time limit on the day, just how tired we were. It was such a fantastic day and great value for money. We would highly recommend Dave, oh also he provides all the info on a pdf!!

It was a great experience Very precise and accurate Training. We feel safe and confident now to tow a caravan thanks to Dave's Training. We also did it for our safety and also for the safety of others.

Dave proved to be an excellent teacher, patient and explained thoroughly all that I needed to know. He helped me gain confidence in reversing not only in a straight line but also into a parking bay and parallel parking as well. We also went for a drive on the rural roads and then into Crewkerne which was very good. I really enjoyed the whole experience.

Trailer Dave is a genuine friendly gentleman. We are brand new to caravaning & he taught my husband & I on a one day course, covering all safety aspects of towing & setting up a caravan. He demonstrated & then asked us to have a go at caravan & car checks to make the towing safe. We then covered reversing & manouvers in a safe area until we were happy that we had "got it". Then set off in our own car towing Dave's caravan, thoroughly covering all types of roads & conditions with Dave gently guiding us through safe towing techniques. We felt confident & in good hands throughout the day & are now raring to get going on our Caravan adventures.

A worthwhile course to go on if you want to tow a caravan safely. Dave was professional, very knowledgable and a patient teacher. I would definitely recommend Dave Griffin.

Definitely recommend for all levels of towing competence. I was just accompanying my wife on her course but I learned a lot although I have been towing since the 1980’s.!
