Abysmal
I attended a SQL Server MCSA training course at Training Square. The training and preparation for the course was absolutely abysmal. On the first day of the course, the trainer spent more than half of the morning sorting out system problems, we were unable to login to our training environment. One of the delegates of the course was very unhappy and immediately withdrew himself from the course. I expressed my concerns as to the length of time it was taking to sort out system issues, I was told by the trainer not to worry that he would make up for lost time. This did not happen.
On day two, the trainer spent several hours sorting out technical problems again on the server and it later became apparent that the trainer did not have knowledge to deliver the training course.
By day Three, I was concerned that we had not covered the syllabus and when I spoke to the trainer, he told me not to worry. There were still issues with the environment and the trainer spent a lot of the day sorting out server issues.
On Thursday, we were told by the trainer that we would have another trainer to cover Friday. We started the day working on backup servers, the trainer was unable to define the basic backup strategies in sql server.
By the afternoon, the task was to create a mirrored server, the activity had to be aborted by the class as the server ran out of disk space.
As we were leaving the class on Thursday, we were called by the marketing manager and told that the new trainer was ill and will be unable to take the class on Friday.
