My experience with Transcat was great. I sent in a request for a quote for a quantity of 5 pressure gauges. The next day I got a price. After I provided a PO, I got a confirmation e-mail and an expected ship date for the gauges. The day before delivery, I also got an e-mail that the gauges should be arriving soon.

We were looking to buy some meters for our electricians in time for our Christmas party. Everywhere was backordered. I got on live chat to check Transcat's availability. We needed 12 meters & the person I talked to said there were 25 in stock in NY that we could receive in about 2 days if we placed the order. Our party was about a month away, so I placed the order. After 3 weeks of nothing, I got on and chatted again. Now they said they were backordered & wouldn't have a new shipment until 12/8/17, the day of our party. They apologized for what I was told before, but that still meant our guys wouldn't have that gift by our party. We finally received them on 1/8/18, 2 months after ordering & 1 month after our party. Everyone I chatted with seemed nice enough, but I don't really like the fact that we were lied to in the first place about when we could expect them & that it took another month after their next shipment apparently came in to receive the meters. If they had just said they were backordered like everyone else from the start, we would have just accepted that.

No packing list included with a shipment, and I still have not been able to get one.

Calibration review
Everything was very good except the amount of time. I have never had to wait so long for my instruments to return from being calibrated. The last three have taken a long time.

My experience of purchasing testing equipment has been excellent so far.

The Oakton PH Instrument arrived and it apparently does not work I will be going out in the field to recover it. The field personnel reported that the Transcat shipped the device, in out of specification weather conditions. The device was shipped in below 6 degree weather and it apparently damaged the device because it will not energize.

Capital budget order was placed the second week of November, 2017. I was promised by Transcat that my order was placed and would be received by the end of December and would be shipped in one order. I have received (2) partial orders so far and still have not received all of my order and it is January 11, 2018. We deal with Transcat daily and have a huge calibration contract with them. This has been a horrible experience overall!!!

Great distributor, I am very happy with the product and they handled the international shipping in a very prompt and professional way, keeping the cost to the client at a minimum.

I had a very tight window to get my purchase completed and received at my plant. The transcat representative worked very hard to respond to my needs and get my new calibrator calibrated in your lab before sending it out next day air. Very impressed with the whole experience.

I placed an order online and it arrived the next day. Really wasn't expecting that.

The original order acknowledgment from 10/31 stated that my order would ship in 2-3 weeks. On 11/30 I followed up for tracking information because the order had not been received. Customer service advised that the order had been pushed out to 12/18 which is 7 weeks (a whole month late). It shipped on 12/22. I needed it over a month ago; the delays in shipping are unacceptable.
