Transparent Communications is a leading UK supplier of IT, AV and networking hardware, providing products from leading brands including Draytek, Drobo, Netgear, Epson, Casio, Samsung, Smart and Acer. The company was founded in 2002 as a family business based in South Wales and specialised largely in a range of communications equipment including phones and bluetooth headsets. Over the coming years Transparent steered itself more to the business line of products such as routers, switches, IP phones/cameras and network storage (NAS) devices aswell as moving premises to Oxfordshire. After a successful acquistion of the company in Jan 2011 by brothers Steven and Richard Warwick, the company was moved again to the outskirts of Portsmouth on the South Coast and has experienced dramatic growth, culminating in the launch of a brand new web-site and an expansion in its range of products from 4,500 to over 40,000 products. Despite the current difficult economic climate Transparent has continued to enjoy success and growth over the past 12 months making us well placed to continuing offer great value and service to our customers throughout 2012 and beyond. I dealt with the boss and got a great…

I dealt with the boss and got a great deal. I was happy with the level of service and supper fast delivery.
The service was so good that I sent him a personal message of thanks.
The product is fantastic!!. so, great product with an excellent service to boot. What more could I want.
Would I deal again, you bet I would.
Big thank you for an impeccable experience.

Hope you don't have issues...

Transparent offer a large variety of products and competitive prices. But I ended up having an issue with the delivery of the product. As any other shipper, Transparent required a signature when delivering goods via FedEx.

Unfortunately, this time around, the FedEx driver did not actually deliver the package and wrote my name in text under the "proof of delivery". I have then raised an investigation with FedEx and informed Transparent (same day). They raised their own investigation with FedEx as well.

My investigation came back a day later with a result - "We apologise for this fault, please return to the seller for a replacement or a refund".
The second investigation by Transparent came back a day later and FedEx advised that they will attempt to re-deliver the parcel.

After chasing Transparent again, they raised a 3-rd complaint with FedEx and still have no results. So far I am stuck without a product, nor a refund for a week.

As their automated system asked for feedback, i am sharing this experience.

Will add an update once the case is closed.

EDIT: Update from 27/01/26:

So far they have continued to pass this matter back to FedEx to investigate. I have not received any updates or communication from Transparent since my last 3 chaser emails over the past 3 business days.

Luckily, i have paid with Paypal and have raised a dispute with them as well. Will share the rest of my experience as it unfolds.

EDIT: Update from later on 27/01/26:
Transparent have just confirmed that a refund will be issued.

Great service and very good price

Ordered a Dell 1Tb SSD just before midnight on Wednesday, item was shipped on Thursday and delivered by DPD on Friday. Fantastic service and all for the best price I could find from any supplier. I will certainly be purchasing from transparent again. Great job

Be careful - Returns can be a tricky (and Costly Business)

Transparent offer great product, competitive prices and lightning fast delivery. But… when I recently purchased, what I thought was, a HDMI Arc Sound Extractor only to find it didn’t actually do that… (extract sound from my TV’s HDMI Arc port). I asked if could return it and after I proved (with photos and my word) it was in ‘pristine’ condition eventually Transparent said that they would accept the return minus £10 and I had to pay the postage!!
After they said I could return it I purchased the correct HDMI Arc Extractor from them - with no problems whatsoever.
I haven’t come across this before. Sorry, genuine mistake on my part, but definitely won’t be buying
anything else from Transparent!

Competitive Pricing on Products

Found Transparent by accident really, so dipped in and found they had products at very competitive prices, so ended up purchasing. Although packaging was damaged when arrived, I assume this was due to carrier. However, all seems good, so I dare say I will return again in the future.

I've ordered twice from Transparent in the last couple of weeks and both times they have been extremely efficient; the items arriving within 48 hours of ordering.
They also had some more-difficult-to-find things in stock and at good prices and I'm pleased with the quality of my purchases. Recommended.

HDMI Cable

Ordered online, there was an error on the website which meant I accidentally ordered the same product twice. A member of the team went out of their way to contact me and resolve the issue. It was delivered within 2 days, cable works great and was cheaper than other websites, definitely recommend!
