I just returned from a 10 day female-solo traveler trip to Egypt with Travelous. It was a dream vacation: the itinerary was excellent (Thank you Chris), all Travelous personnel were professional, courteous and very knowledgeable, and all the hotels and restaurants were outstanding. I had the bucket list Egyptian trip that I was hoping for and then some. My personal guides Samah in Cairo and Tarik in Luxor/Aswan were both highly trained, knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be around. They treated me like family and I learned a lot from them. Similarly, the airport reps Samer, Hamada, and Mohamed made travel easy and helped me immediately when I needed support. I cannot imagine driving in Egypt with the wide spectrum of transportation methods on the somewhat poorly maintained roads (from walkers to horse carts to cars to huge Mercedes trucks). All the drivers got me to every location promptly and safely. I fell like I made a lot of new friends in Egypt and loved the people, food and culture. I felt safe at all times. I would highly recommend using Travelous and hope to travel with the company again soon.

We're regular travelers and have usually handled booking/reservations for our trips. But we knew that a bucket-list trip to Egypt/Jordan needed help. We are beyond happy with the team at Travelous. From start to finish they basically took care of EVERYTHING. Their guides were phenomenal and truly seemed to take pleasure in making sure we got a full picture of the places we visited... from sharing about history, taking us to restaurants and places that normal tourists don't get to see, etc. The drivers were experts and each person went out of their way to pamper us and make the trip a wonderful adventure. A word of warning: once you work with Travelous you will want them to take care of all your trips. I mean it. They are just that good. There's a level of personal attention and care that is beyond anything we've experienced and now we're talking about our next adventure with them. We don't love doing "group" travel and this was perfect for our needs. We felt safe and protected. We had contact with them 24/7. They anticipated so many needs and already had them sorted before we thought to ask. Simply wonderful company. Would recommend 1000%.

We just concluded a 2-week private trip to Egypt with Travelous and cannot say enough about the extraordinary experience.

We worked with Chris Bazos to plan our trip and right from the beginning his professionalism, patience and eagerness to help, impressed us.
Through numerous emails and phone calls, he guided us (tempering our enthusiasm where necessary) to craft an itinerary that let us cover a great number of sites comfortably. His expertise was particularly handy given family members flew in and out of Egypt at different times and dates!
The flexibility with payments, COVID related guarantees and finally the detailed organization of the trip through the Travel app is the best we have seen so far.
Finally, the hour long pre-trip conference call, answering all our last minute questions and providing us with vital tips, put us completely at ease.

The Travelous team on the ground was fantastic. (We have traveled quite a bit around the world - so we know quality when we see it). From the moment we landed in Cairo till we boarded our flights back home, the team was on top of every move. They proactively managed every aspect of the trip - hotel pick ups, ordering packed lunches for day trips, ensuring timely check-ins for domestic flights and so much more.

Hesham, our primary contact in Cairo kept checking with us constantly till we landed back in the US. All of the ground representatives and drivers (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada) provided excellent service.

When it came to the guides, we could not have been happier. Eman (Cairo and Alexandria) and Tarik (Luxor to Aswan) were fabulous.
Their knowledge and eagerness to educate us as they walked us through the sites revealed an Egypt that enthralled us. Tarik went out of the way to make last minute changes to the itinerary to make it easier for us to cover Luxor before boarding the cruise. He helped us cover the Aswan High Dam that was not on our itinerary. Similarly, in Cairo, Eman took it upon herself to
to show us both Coptic and Islamic Cairo when only Islamic Cairo was in our itinerary. In Alexandria, the guards at the last site - Catacombs - did not believe we covered so many sites in one day - they asked Eman to show the tickets!
They never shied away from entertaining any request from us - however much it may have inconvenienced them.

For the cruise, we are glad we listened to Chris and stuck to Farah Nile Cruise. It was a terrific experience. The boat, service, hospitality and food were all beyond our expectations.

In the end, the professionalism, courtesy and above all the humanity extended to us by all we encountered during this trip has left us deeply grateful.

We wish Travelous the very best and will certainly use them again.

Our trip to Egypt and Jordan with my son and daughter was truly wonderful and memorable!!! Chris took care of everything so meticulously that it was hassle free for us from the time we landed at the Cairo airport all through our return to the United States. The choices of hotels and Nile cruise ship were impeccable and everybody we interacted (airport representatives, drivers, and tour guides) were so professional and kind, very knowledgeable, and really went above and beyond! Chris even made special dinner arrangements for my 60th birthday celebration. In addition, the local tour guide in Jordan arranged a birthday surprise in Madaba! I would definitely use Travelous in my future trips and highly recommend their services. I am one truly happy customer!

Chris and the Travelous team did a fantastic job putting together a great trip for us. The guides were all fantastic.

Great for the most part. Lunch time became quite spread out on a couple days.
Lamy was an incredible guide.

We have booked private tours with other companies, including some well-known names. Travelous ranks as good or better than all of them. We could not have been happier with our experience, especially the care and attention by local representatives and guides. Our trip was seamless and worry-free despite the challenges of Covid. We highly recommend Travelous and will be traveling with them again.

Chris provided a great trip itinerary that gave us everything that the other companies did at a fraction of the price.

Lamey (Ahmed) was AMAZING. He is such a genuine person and took us into his town (per our request) after the day part of our tour was over and even let us meet his mom (also upon our request). We wanted to see authentic Egypt, and he gave that to us. He cares so much about his country and the ancient Egyptians and it shows. Our days spent with him were definitely the highlight. Filled with education, fun, and laughter. It was also cool walking around with him because he was friends with everyone and the sites we went to. Habib.

Samah also did a great job. She is very smart, and professional. She took us through Cairo and Giza. She is very knowledgeable and we had a great time with her.

Samer is very professional and handled our visa’s and pick up perfectly. He also did a great job getting our flights to Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Luxor.

Overall is was an amazing experience. The drivers were nice and the airport reps were helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I had a vacation of a lifetime. The service was impeccable, the sites were breathtaking, the food was fabulous! The overall experience was just amazing and I want to special say we had the best tour guides, thank you Tarik and Nermeen!!!! I learned so much from both of them and they made the experience so much fun. Everything we wanted to do, they made it happen some how.

A trip of a lifetime. The Travelous team ensured smooth transitions from airport, hotels, and all sites. Their expert travel guides were experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. Travelous offered many different options on how to pace the trip, different sites to see and cities to visit and all custom to our needs. The work started in May…we researched available tours and couldn’t find one that met most of our needs and wants. So, we provided a list of sites we wanted to see and things we wanted to do to Travelous. Chris and Johanna went to work to develop the itinerary. After a few iterations, we had the perfect plan. Travelous handled all of the land bookings, so we just had to book our flights and show up in a Iceland. Everything from the hotels, the itinerary, the transfers, our driver/guide, bookings for specific tours were absolutely perfect.

Johanna and Chris were a pleasure to work with on the planning of our vacation. We highly recommend Travelous for your next adventure.

This was my second trip with Travelous. I am very particular about what I want to see and do on my trips and a preplanned tour or group tour is not my style. I am interested in what the location offers and I pack my day with activities and very little down time. My first trip with Travelous was to Egypt, Israel and Jordan. Travelous took my “must do list” and worked with me to plan the perfect trip. Everything was exactly as planned. Wonderful experience!
I was excited to be able to work with them again on this trip to Iceland. It was a special family trip (4 people) and there was a great deal we wanted to see and accomplish during our 7 days on the island. We were warned we would be very busy but it could be done - weather permitting. Once again, the trip we planned with Travelous far exceeded our expectations.
We had 2 additional family members decide to join us 3 weeks prior to our departure and Travelous was very accommodating and took care of all the additional services (hotels, admissions, upgraded the vehicle etc.)
We had booked our own air and had flights rescheduled by the airline a week prior to our trip and we had flights canceled the day of travel, Once again, Travelous said to relax and just let them know when we would be arriving and they would take care of everything else - and they did! I cannot say enough positive things about this company. Travelous is amazing!
Also I want to say we had the most wonderful driver/guide during our week in Iceland who made our experience even more enjoyable.

I did an unbelievable amount of research before choosing Travelous. I have travelled the world, but this trip to Egypt with our family of four, was a special one, it was for my wife’s 50’th Birthday as well as our Wedding Anniversary.

Planning the Itinerary with Chris was amazing, we had so many options to choose from, as there is so much to see and do.

Upon landing in Cairo, we were met by our point person, Samer, who was incredible, he took care of everything and got us into our private van, and off to the Mena House for our first couple of nights.

The next wonderful person we met was Eman, an utterly amazing human, with a PHD in Egyptology, she took us to sights that were just unreal… pictures cannot do this place justice, you have to go and experience it.

Eman’s knowledge of her Country and its history was not only amazing in every aspect, she also had fun and humorous way of explanation. She had an incredible ability to let us adventure, and then allow us to ask any questions which she could answer. We all felt like children exploring things for the first time, and it was AMAZING.

After a few days in Cairo we went to Aswan, and met Lamey (adopted as our brother, also Eman was adopted as our sister, and Samer as our uncle).

Lamey is another very special highly educated amazing person, who has an incredible ability to understand people, and to be able to make them feel comfortable, his knowledge of his Egypt is second to none. We all felt extremely well taken care of, and the absolute thread of this trip - we felt as if we met family in a foreign land for the first time, and they took us on very personal and private adventures, that the normal tourist would have no hope of ever seeing, or explaining things in such a way that one was always interested and happy to hear, see, and do more!

I could literally write a very long paper on this trip and the overall experience from each hotel to everyone we had the pleasure to meet, but let me summarize… YOU CANNOT DO EGYPT without a Travel Service it would be a very very huge mistake (again, I’ve travelled the world, NEVER using a service).

There are for sure bigger outfits out there, I called them, and got the song and dance, and it was not until I reached Chris at Travelous, that I felt like I was talking to an old friend that was going to help me plan out an amazing trip for my family, and he did just that. Chris has also been adopted by the family :) We all feel so blessed and honored to have gone on this trip, and had the experiences we got to have, and NONE of it would have been possible without the expert team at Travelous!

Do not waste your time, spending weeks trying to find that right travel company, just call Travelous and have an Epic Journey that you and yours will never forget – in fact, the trip of a lifetime!

Wow! What an incredible experience! My mom and I had dreamt of visiting Egypt for many years. In the past we had done group tours and always felt frustrated and unsatisfied upon returning home. When searching for a private tour of Egypt, I found Travelous and Chris Bazos. From our very first call, we were pleasantly surprised by Chris’ expertise regarding all things Egypt. He customized a perfect itinerary for us!
Once in Egypt, we never felt unsafe or alone. We never lifted a finger or even had to check into a flight. Samer, our Cairo concierge, was excellent. He handled every detail for us, ensured we were happy each step of the way and was so kind.
Nermeen and Tarik are PhD educated Egyptologist whose knowledge and sweet personalities made our visits to the temples, museums and tombs magical! They even took photos for us so that we could have some together. The sites were breathtaking and the stories of Ancient Egyptian mythology are so rich and fascinating. We were always provided bottled water while touring which was very helpful.
The sunset camel ride in the desert was SO SPECIAL!! Once in front of the pyramids, the guide took our photos, laid out a blanket for us and brewed fresh tea for us to drink as we watched the sunset beside the pyramids. DO THIS WHEN YOU GO!
Our hotels were ALL amazing and top notch! Meals were delicious and more than satisfying. For picky eaters, no worries! We had things like rice, chicken, beef, vegetables, chicken soup, hummus, pita bread.

The culture and the people of Egypt are wonderful! Egyptians are happy people who loved to serve and greet guests. This was a life changing trip and I credit a good part of that to the quality of service and excellence provided by Chris and his Travelous staff. We will be booking with Travelous for all of our future vacations. I could write a book on how happy we are with Travelous and the tour in Egypt. I cannot recommend them enough!

Chris customized an incredible trip through Turkey for us, and our guides made every minute incredibly special. Top hotels, great drivers, smooth flights, delicious meals in picturesque settings, and incredibly memorable experiences in an impressive country with warm people. We were kept safe & happy during Covid - thank you so much! You deserve an experience like this.

COVID-19 reeked havoc with our plans and preparations to go to Egypt, but our Travelous agent was totally on task. He rescheduled our entire itinerary at the last minute, managed to secure fabulous guides and facilitators and our entire trip was terrific. I appreciated the suggestions that were made and how our wishes were accommodated. We could not have been more pleased.
