I lost my Micard and was having trouble…

I lost my Micard and was having trouble with the payment for a new one. I ended up ringing the helpline and spoke to a lovely women named Eve, she was extremely helpful and reassured me through everything that needed to be done for me to get a new Micard.

I am fed up of the service you…Useless 272 Castleton service from Bradwell

I am fed up of the service you provide!!
I live in Bradwell on the 272 route and yet again your bus failed to arrive (at 16:01) Please drum it into your drivers on this route that they need to check the timetable to see if the bus needs to go into Bradwell. The number of times they just go straight on at The Travellers at Brough and forget about us!!!! Not good enough!!! Really pissed off with the "service" you give us.

SACK THEM ALL !

Was given ENTIRELY the wrong information at Barnsley bus station.
I was travelling with an elderly dog, and thanks to a useless southerner at SYTP who has NO IDEA where anywhere is.
We ended up stranded on a dual carriageway, due to getting the WRONG BUS, which he told me was the one we needed.
Then when I complained by phone, the operator tried to goad me into saying, it was the bus driver's fault !
SORRY it IS NOT the bus driver's fault. I blame Oliver Coppard for cutting funding for travel shops.
Thus employing prople who DO NOT COME FROM YORKSHIRE, who have no idea where places are in the localites. The just AI humanoid robots wittering off what it says on a screen miles away.
WHY aren't local people employed in proper travel shops , who KNOW the local areas, and can give ACCURATE directions and CORRECT information?!
Apparently it is called streamlined modern progress - NOT !!!!

I don't know WHY South Yorkshire combined mayoral authority has closed all the travel shops????. Where LOCAL STAFF in the areas the shops were located ,& staff actually knew where people needed to go and how to get there accurately .
Shoving southerners and other aliens in what appears to be aphone boxes with a screen in far flung corners of bus atations IS NOT acceptable.

£87.40 Lost? Customer Service Not Good - Eventually Resolved

£87.40 Lost — No Smartcard Issued, No Ticket Loaded, No Acknowledgement of complaint
I attempted to purchase a 28-day all-bus ticket (£87.40) from the Travel South Yorkshire kiosk at Arundel Gate, requesting a smartcard (which costs £1). Instead of issuing the smartcard, the machine printed a slip stating “Product Not Loaded.” No ticket was loaded, no smartcard was issued, and no refund was given.

I approached the nearby customer service booth, but the staff member was rude and dismissive. She told me my money would “probably” be refunded in 8–10 days and offered no receipt, reference, or assistance. She then ignored me and began working on the machine.

I called customer service and spoke with someone named Ryan, who insisted I return to the same booth. Despite explaining the situation, he refused to escalate or offer any real help.

To make matters worse, the online complaint form provides no confirmation or reference number, leaving me with no proof that I submitted anything.

I am still waiting for my refund and a proper resolution. If this is how Travel South Yorkshire treats its passengers, serious improvements are needed in customer service, accountability, and transparency. Please help connect to who can help.

Travel South Yorkshire has today, 8th August, 2025, reached out to me via one the Interchange Managers at Arundel Gate and all is resolved now. I thank Heather Roberts , the Customer Service Manager, for his empathetic response. I wish the company success in all its future dealings. Thank you.
