$500+ F150 Raptor R is insultingly bad

Purchased a F150 Raptor R for $500+. It was advertised that this truck had upgraded internals for durability and such.

Motor ESC fried on the 2nd use. Hobby shop replaced for me. New ESC programming button got stuck on after the 2nd use and could not use my new truck. Hobby shop replaced, again. Worked....Great!.....All my use is to play with my dog in grass and on the road. No bashing. Limited the throttle to 50% via software app. 2 weeks later, the drive train failed. $500+ truck advertised as durable. The GEARS ARE PLASTIC AND FAILED. Ran the VXL motor to test the motor. Drive shaft wobbles and the motor is binding.

$500+ for this....? Everyone I know hates Traxxas electronics. Amazon $150 truck is more reliable than this.

Customer service stinks

Customer service stinks
Called in with a charging issue, since your purchase does not include a charging cable you have to provide your own, Customer service suggested using a "nintendo switch charger" which yielded no results. I asked what should I do next ? Was told Im not playing phone tag and was on hung up on by Hunter. Meanwhile my 10 year old son , who wants to use this piece of junk , is standing there listening to the whole conversation . Car looks like its poorly made . Would never buy again

Just paid $3200 for 2 Traxxas Xmaxx…

Just paid $3200 for 2 Traxxas Xmaxx ultimates. The description on the traxxas website said the truck came with optional gearing… now the website doesn’t say that… a bit shady.. liars.. deceitful… plus the wheels are junk on the new Xmaxx already cracked one at the hub & I don’t bash, I called traxxas & asked them about the missing gear & they said the website add has been corrected…it doesn’t come with the 46T spur gear because the Xmaxx can’t handle it… so I paid $500 extra dollars for a weaker truck that’s supposed to be the ultimate version 🤥🤔In the end Traxxas did nothing for me.. they wouldn’t replace the wheel or send the gearing it said it came with when I ordered my trucks… I will never purchase a Traxxas again.

Bought a traxxas summit 1/16 brand new…

Bought a traxxas summit 1/16 brand new and straight out of the box 4x4 was broken. Front tires will not spin under power and horrible clicking noise coming from front diff. Absolutely appalled. $250 for a rc car that's broken out of the box. For shame traxxas.

Edit: after taking the car apart I found the issue was that the front drives haft was not assembled properly and came in half as the ball with the 4 pegs on it that functions as a U joint had completely come out of the drivesshaft. After forcing the driveshaft back together the problem is fixed but I will still be contacting traxxas to recieve a new one since the plastic on mine is now compromised from how I got the U joint back in place. Really need better quality checking. I expected better from traxxas, not a brand new car that I had to disassemble and fix.

Buyer beware. Chat support is horrible...

I ordered a simple charging cable and adapter which was shipped via USPS which I did not know at time of checkout. 11 days later still no delivery. When I chatted with Traxxas from their website Bob did nothing to assist his customer to make sure I was satisfied. He even disconnected chat. Very rude and unhelpful. I called my bank to reverse the charges which they did gladly. This one incident has turned me away from all Traxxas products going forward.

Great customer service and product support

I had a problem with my new car, called Traxxas and they shipped a new receiver, no questions asked and said I don't need to ship back the one in the car. Put the new receiver in and the problem was solved. Great customer service and product support.

I think the Traxxas Maxx V2 might just…

I think the Traxxas Maxx V2 might just be the best RC on the market. If not the best, in the top three. From build quality to reliability to offering a very smooth and powerful motor and esc, it is able to drive at all speeds in all conditions with ease. I cannot say the same about the 3s or 6s lines which are not smooth and tend to cog and surge quite a bit. If Traxxas offered more vechiles, such as the Raptor R using the Traxxas Maxx 4s system it would literally be the perfect vechile. Whatever you did with the Maxx's drivetrain please duplicate it with your other vechiles. The reason I love the Maxx is because it drives like a real vechile. It is the closest system to a sensored motor/esc that I have found and I believe that is the best type of system to offer in RC's. One that is well rounded and drives smoothly at all speeds.

Nobody should buy or support Traxxas

Nobody should buy or support Traxxas. They are not in the rc industry for the right reasons, they're litigious, thieves and totally overpriced. Aside from the fact that almost all of their trucks are copies from HPI, Tamiya and other long standing rc companies that Traxxas sued into bankruptcy. Their customer support is a JOKE, unless you just spent $1500 within 8 hours on a CRAP-MAXX they don't give a rats ass. They'll insist you ship it to them on your dime and they'll "fix it" and you have no idea what they're actually fixing. Traxxas is the most devious, deceptive and unreliable rc brand available. They make their cars to break so you have to constantly spend money on highly overpriced replacement parts. All their stuff is proprietary, their lipo packs are ridiculously expensive at $150 for ONE 4S lipo that you have to spend another $100 for their proprietary charger. You can't even change the lipo lead because they don't have a balance cable so without their "smart lipo" tech b.s. you run the risk of exploding lipos. Everything about them is just scandalous, their business practices are treacherous and their items are subpar. Go buy an Arrma or Losi or HPI, any company is better than Traxxas.

I should have read the reviews…

I should have read the reviews first!!!! DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS! They charged me $80 for second day air and did not send it to the address on put on their website. They sent it to my PayPal address instead. I should have bought from their dealer - big companies don't give a darn about their customers - "sorry man" was what I got.

Do not buy anything from this company

Do not buy anything from this company. All R/C's have problems but these guys are crooks. They send out defective products and then make you pay to the shipping to return it. Also if you opened the box , can't return it. How the heck are you supposed to know if it works?? Learned my lesson-never again Traxxas

Everything about this company sucks. Don’t buy!!!

F****ck this company. I grew up flying RC Helicopters with Bell Hiller rotor systems, so am no stranger to having to fix things that break. That being said, I bought a Hoss 4x4 VXL and it’s broken 2 out of the 3 times I’ve been able to use it! Traxxas support was useless. I spent days trying to get replacement parts and they only tried to pass the buck off, and say it was my fault. After buying it new, the second battery I ran through it, the plastic hex nut behind the wheel stripped out and turned into molten soup, turning it into a front wheel drive Hoss that I then had to spend more money to buy a set of wheels and aluminum hex nuts because Traxxas sucks. I paid for that out of pocket, got it running and the very next battery after fixing it, the front left driveshaft broke! I wasn’t thrashing it or bashing it either; I have a dirt parking lot close to where I live. I’m so pissed off right now. Their trucks are absolute garbage. I literally fixed my helicopters less than this piece of garbage. I don’t even want to use mine anymore, because I know it’ll just cost more money. $700 down the drain. And if I could give their snarky, arrogant customer service A-holes 0 stars I would.

Tech Sup was rude and dishonest

Hunter at Traxxas rude and not intelligent.

Right from the get go he was accusatory about how i was describing my issue.
I was forced by the link system to update the VXL 6s ESC. After the update the ESC was bricked.

Hunter stated that this was a physical problem and I needed to purchase a new ESC due to the 3 blinking lights. I told him that this was right after the ESC update, and it was not run so it seems like the update caused the error.

He said the 3 blinking lights on the ESC was proof there was physical damage to the ESC and that I needed to purchase a new one from him. But he would give me a small discount.

Later when I talked to Tech support at Amain Hobbies (which are helpful and not rude 10/10 would recommend) he said the 3 blinking lights was in the manual for the Revo 2.0 as a "Programming Error"

Hunter's advice when I said that the ESC only had problems after failed updates : "you seem like you know everything, you can roll back the software yourself".

I am new to RC, and I own a Revo 2.0, Slash Ultimate, and a Rustler VXL 4x4.

The veterans in this have told me to get rid of Traxxas and get much better products at Aarma. they said the design is better and that the customer support at Traxxas is well known for being rude.

The tech guy from Amain was like : "he told you it was a physical issue? We just got those 3 lights to go away with some profile resets. Sadly I am hearing this more and more about Traxxas and how they treat people:.

After this experience with a dishonest tech support like Hunter who lied about those codes to make a sale, I think I can dump these 3 cars pretty quickly and end up ahead of the game. The sad thing is I got my nieghbors to by a traxxas so we could have a league. We could all sell our Traxxas and race the same level of Aarma with much less money.

$600 bent wheel

Send videos of problems with your brand new $600 truck and they don’t want to do anything about it. Said they hardly ever warranty tires and wheels. I threaten them with my attorney and asked for names. They end up sending the part but for wrong side. Said to swap out with the other side lol I asked isn’t that just putting the wrong side back on. Wow. I never got the right wheel under warranty. Will always buy Axial, rgt. Losi, ventera carisma are better companies.I can’t get video to work on review. Will not let me copy and paste or insert a video. It shows it all for sure and I know they received it. At first he told me to tighten it, it was only loose. Lol obviously I checked how tight it was probably very first thing I did.

1 star because I can’t give 0

1 star because I can’t give 0! I am so upset with the Slash that we bought for our son last week. It has been constantly broken, it can’t even get through a battery. Transmission, motor, receiver, all have issues and the thing isn’t even a week old. It has only driven in the drive way, he hasn’t even gotten to do anything cool with it! I spoke to a customer service representative from Traxxas and they were not helpful in any way at all. After spending quite a bit of money on a brand new rc we expected that it would actually work, and that the company would stand behind its product, but sadly that is not the case as apparently there is no warranty and the rep called it regular wear and tear, after a couple of days?? I am so upset and disappointed. What a waste of money, and crushing for my son who was so excited to get his truck that turned out to be a useless piece of crap.
I will never buy another Traxxas product again absolute garbage all around.

Garbage electronics and terrible customer service

I have a Traxxas E Revo 2.0 with a VXL 6s and I am on my third ESC After only owning my revo for about three years. The first one died in less than a year under moderate load while driving normally (the truck was completely stock). The second one didn’t turn on after sitting for a few months (with batteries unplugged). The third one will still turn on but all three lights are solid red. Traxxas support told me this was a “programming error” and that I would have to send it back and pay for a new one. The Traxxas employee whom I spoke with on the phone was very rude and impatient, then proceeded to hang up on me in the middle of asking a question. I would not recommend buying this as a replacement once it inevitably dies.

Lower their prices on their overpriced…

Lower their prices on their overpriced garbage I have boughten so many RC cars out in there and there are so many better brands for a lot less I've had numerous tracks as Vehicles they've all broke within the first hour of use where all my other even non name brand ones are still going to this day unbroken original and I beat on them harder than I beat on my Traxxas garbage
