Buyer BEWARE…..My son used all of his hard earned paper route money to buy an X Max and less than a week in already broke the radio alarm ….clearly faulty plastic. Chatted with customer service online and was told too bad so sad won’t do anything for you and basically hung up. This is the worst customer service that I have ever had in my entire life. We will not be buying another Traxxas again horizon here we come my understanding is you have much better customer service. Think twice before you buy anything from this company they don’t stand behind their products at all. What a shame a 20 dollar part could have saved a lifelong customer…..

Had an issue with a battery and received good instructions and quick help. Upon sending the battery back under warranty it took a few weeks to get the replacement sent out. However the team made it right and I appreciate the support I got.

Save your money and buy “HARBOR FREIGHT”

Good morning, for those looking to buy a remote controlled boat do yourself a favor and purchase the remote controlled boat from Harbor Freight. My son wanted me to buy him the Harbor Freight boat for months and I advised him that I would buy him a good one. So, I purchased a TRAXXAS BLAST high performance electronic race boat from a local hobby store. Since this purchase the boat has only performed correctly through 1.5 batteries cycles. Motor issues, electronic speed control issues, local hobby store sold me a non TRAXXAS motor to fix the boat issue. I called TRAXXAS warranty division and they did send me a new motor and new electronic speed controller forward-only which once installed made the boat function again but the controller to boat range was now cut to a third of what it was the first 1.5 times we actually could run the boat. Luckily the Parks and Rec at Jacobson Park in Lexington, KY let my son and I borrow a paddle boat to retrieve the boat. Today September 1, 2022 @ 10:05am, I called TRAXXAS to explain the new issue and if anything could be done and I was advised that nothing could be done to address my issues. I was advised that I must have messed up the antenna, bent it, cut it or some how made it not long enough to receive a signal. I assured him that the wire that constitutes the antenna is in original condition and has not been compromised in any way. Well, that’s the gist of the story now my son has a high performance electronic race boat that is useless unless he uses it in our bathtub. I really wish that TRAXXAS had done more to make it right. I can’t understand but I can deal with how TRAXXAS is handling this warranty claim but I don’t think my son is dealing with it well. Also, I did not get the reps name when he first answered my call and he ended the call before I could have him repeat his name. What a disappointment this has been…

Had a simple question and called customer support josh was very rude and talked down to me as if I was a piece of trash I don't understand does he realize he would not have a job if there was no customers no need to be rude to people buying your product I would never talk to a customer like that Traxxas needs to get him off the phone find someone that is a people person and friendly does the CEO not read any feedback online I'm not the only one and it's really making people change to a different brand of r.c. it's an easy fix get someone new on the phone that is a decent human being I have never in my life been spoken to the way josh did Josh find a new job if you're so miserable at Traxxas

I bought a 70 mph Buggy

I bought a 70 mph Buggy. It didn't do 70 mph. Traxxas don't sell the gear you need to do 70mph. So I bought the correct gearing elsewhere, still doesn't do 70 mph. What it does though is blow tyres at about 65 mph, and that's if you can keep the front down! Nice one!

I really liked Traxxas products but when you spend $1,000 on something and the tire blows out within first 15 minutes and company doesn't cover anything and have another vehicle I paid over $700 for and motor blowout less than a month is crazy and their customer service is one of the worstest I've ever dealt with but what do you expect from a company that doesn't care about taking your money I'm being told from customer care oh well go to another company and I think everyone that's reading this should go to another company horizon has better customer service and the cars are okay too Traxxas need to get it together before you lose all your customers and I bought two years ago two Traxxas rustlers a month and a half ago bought an E-Revo 6s and x-max can't believe I gave this company my money and all the days is from this post

I have about 15 traxxas vehicles

I have about 15 traxxas vehicles. Just got my second Maxx v2. Out of the box the transmitter wouldn't synch. Same as the first one. No big deal, reset and synch it. First one the throttle is reversed.. again, no big deal. Got them both fixed and go out to the local park. 4 minutes later, the brand new one is dead. Doesn't move, makes weird noises, no error lights.
Called support and my options are diagnosing it over the phone with someone. I don't work on RCs. It's 4 hours old. Send me a ticket to ship it back and replace it. Pretty simple. He says, you opened it so you don't have a return policy. How would anyone know if it was a factory defect if they don't open it?
Again, I have 15 or 16 Traxxas vehicles. Well over $5k. And this is how you treat your loyal customers? I'm done with the horrible company. Just cancelled my order for 2 Xmaxx's. Just another $2k without extras....

A 10$ RC car is better than this joke of a company.

I ordered my RC car and I took it for a spin, the next day I went to show my friend, and the steering just seized up. I tried to fix it but, then the steering rod that connects to the servo kept hitting the drive shaft like it was not supposed to be there. Boom 375$ down the drain. The cars are overpriced and have crappy designs that are purely for glamor shots. These are made with horrible plastic I hit a part lightly to get it back into place but it snapped off.I have invested over 600 dollars in this company. My nice cars from Traxxas barely work while my Chinese knockoff model works like a dream. This company cannot even one-up a knockoff. This is what Traxxas's motto should be " Made to break so you can buy another other" These are also insanely hard to fix I all most broke a window because I got so fed up fixing it. This so-called company seems to be based on luck, seeing the reviews it looks like some people despise it but the other small portion of people love it, there is no middle ground. This tells me that they probably do quality checks, but at rare intervals. I imagine that the factory workers once a month are like, "All right the inspector is coming tomorrow time to put in some work, oh and Todd(No offense to people named Todd) try to come in sober, ok. All in all, if you just keep these models going under 2 mph you should be fine.

Traxxas customer service is non…

Traxxas customer service is non existent. When you get to talk to someone they simply told me they won’t do anything about a two week old Nitro Revo. I broke the engine in just like the book said to. I did everything exactly as I was supposed to. The very next time I ran it, it ran for a few minutes and quit. It hasn’t started again since. It won’t do anything. I have had many nitro engines before. I know what to check and what to do. Nothing I tried worked. So I called Traxxas. The person I spoke to told me right off that I didn’t try anything and knew nothing about nitro engines. I remained calm and told him yes I did. All I was asking for was suggestions for what else I could try. He said that since I knew nothing about them he would not suggest anything. I was a little upset then. I’ve got a $550 paperweight. I took it to the local Hobby town and paid to have them look at it. They said the engine is junk. I asked if I could get the parts and rebuild it. The cost was more than a new engine. Traxxas knows that the 3.3 is not a good engine. But they won’t do anything about it. My choice is either pay $350 for a good brand engine or put the truck in a box and forget it. Over $500 wasted. Thanks Traxxas. I will never buy Traxxas again.
Edit 1. Had the nitro engine checked. Traxxas disassembled and sent an email that it was very used. Very hard in a vehicle bought less than a month ago. Clutch shoes that normally last are completely wore out. Again not possible in a new vehicle. They obviously do a bait and switch and get away with it.

My son purchased at Big foot with is…

My son purchased at Big foot with is own money at 13. Last September. He has had nothing but problems with the motors that you have sent out. We have done everything the tech support has told us to do. I called in today about another motor and also a lipo battery that he purchased separately tech support said they could replace a battery. But with some attitude he said they are only warranted for 30 days. So on a $275 truck the cheap motor is only good for 30 days. Now I know you have sent out a couple of motors and tech support has been great up until today. But without the motor the rest is worthless. He has spent over $400 on this truck and know it is junk unless he spends more money. This is so disappointing.

The response I got was that the motors will last if run correctly. 2 of the motors I got only lasted a couple runs. Not in water or mud. It is crazy that they sell junk motors so that you have to purchase more items. I purchased a cheap motor from an other Company and it has been running for months.

Traxxas is a really good website in my opinion. I honestly don’t know why the rating is so low. I have ordered many Traxxas RC’s From their website and I can always trust them. The only downside is the packaging and delivery process is kind of bad. When I ordered my E Revo 2.0, The box came all mangled And messed up. The packaging was horrible, it looked like they just threw the rc In a box and shipped it to me. But other than that one and only downside the website is amazing.

These guys will sell you broken junk…

These guys will sell you broken junk and refuse to repair anything. Spent 560$ on a V2 Maxx. A week later, after no more than 5-6 battery charges the axle pin came loose and sheered through the chassis. Completely stock brand new truck totally ruined short of an entire teardown and rebuild. No warranty, not a thing from them except to tell me to buy another one and to point out the (Where Applicable) part of their warranty. The "Where Applicable" section of the warranty to these guys means "never under any circumstance unless we have no other choice".
Complete disregard for quality and customer service in any way.

Bought a light kit for the Maxx for 100$ that worked for about 15 minutes then quit. No replacement, no warranty, because the bumpers were scratched. I "light kit* can't be turned in IF ITS SCRATCHED. They never explained how that affected the kit working in the first place only that they weren't going to replace it.They'll find any reason not to stand behind their products because they know they are junk.
These guys are a joke. Stay away from them. All they do is sell broken stuff so they can charge you to fix it.

Bought two Stampede 4X4 unassembled…

Bought two Stampede 4X4 unassembled kits, two NiMH batteries, 12V and EZ-Peak chargers. Tried to charge the batteries and can't.
Contacted customer support who told me to check battery voltage then trickle charge the batteries. I don't have a trickle charger and after spending $800, with Traxxas, I want usable batteries, not to purchase another charger.
I asked for replacement batteries under warranty only to be told Traxxas doesn't warranty the batteries. They shipped either a defective charger or defective batteries and will stand behind neither.
Traxxas seems to make quality models, but the same can't be said for batteries or charges. And their support is non-existent.
Unless you plan to decorate your house with a completed model, DO NOT BUY anything from Traxxas.

EDIT: received a call from Traxxas support. They are sending a trickle charger without additional cost they say should allow the batteries to be charged. Will see.

Traxxas is probably the most standup…

Traxxas is probably the most standup company I’ve ever dealt with. I am on my fourth RC car with them and everything that needed replacement or attention they handled immediately. My son has a Traxxas max and the ESC and motor we’re having an issue communicating. I mailed it back to them and they called me this morning to let me know that they received my package with a rip in it and it was completely empty except for my paperwork. The representative was awesome to deal with I didn’t even have to ask him he said will take care of you man I’m sending you out a new motor and new ESC no charge. This is the reason I only buy Traxxas radio controlled.

I would give Traxxas a ZERO stars…

I would give Traxxas a ZERO star review if I could. Our nine-year-old son bought a $250 Raptor Traxxas truck with his own birthday money approximately two weeks ago. Every day he asked when his truck would ship and when it did, how much more time until it would arrive. When it did, he eagerly opened the box and what did he find??? A BROKEN truck. We called Traxxas to be met with the most absurd, obnoxiously rude customer service representative (which I have read here is par for the course) who proceeded to explain that since our son had merely OPENED the box, he had, “voided the warranty,” on the truck they sent in, “good faith.” Tell me, how would we know if the truck was broken if it was never removed from the box? It was STILL IN THE PLASTIC in the pictures we sent. By this time, of course our son is bawling his eyes out and we asked to speak to the manager. Approximately EIGHT minutes on hold and we get another person on the phone that basically says, “sorry, sometimes these things happen,” and refuses to receive the BROKEN ON ARRIVAL truck back. Not only that, but he refused to overnight the part to fix the truck, told us the part was easy to replace ourselves (it’s NOT), and all but said he didn’t believe our story. I’ve never felt more compelled to write a review, but people should know before they buy a Traxxas product, their customer service will NOT replace your purchase if it ARRIVES BROKEN. These RC cars are far too expensive to deal with people that have ZERO integrity.
