Wrens stainless steel sink

I purchased a kitchen around 18 months ago, had a stainless steel sink.it’s now developed little pin like holes in in. After much disagreement they have put it down to corrosive misuse. I have not used any products like that. After talking to many people they say they use bleach down a sink all the time with no issue.After all many kitchen products have this in them. It’s very disappointing I’ve asked for someone to come out and see the sink but they say manufacturers have made there decision. I’ve looked after the sink as I knew I wouldn’t not be in a position to buy again.After many emails back and forth there answer is to offer another sink for £110. There is only 2 people in my household so it’s not had much ware. I believe it’s poor quality as from the beginning it marked easily. This should definitely not happen after 18 months would not recommend these products to anyone. Very disappointing

Bowland fell tosside

We are owners on fell view on Bowland fell park tosside.When we came it was a nice park but was lacking a atmosphere around the park and things was agreed and did not happen it was hit and miss some staff not all .but was not happy and struggled with people skills .However how much the park has turned around since James the new manager has come to manage Bowland fell .His management team are fantastic like all his staff on his team .He has worked with all his team to give the park a new look and got the park a happy Fun engaging park for owners and holiday let’s The team get involved with events and you can go to any of them for support or advise .All always happy to help .Keep up the good work James and the team well done and thankyou .well worth a visit for ownership or holiday

Removed Reviews for Provence Living, Villa Roussillon

Tripadvisor is no longer fit for purpose - as multiple reviews here suggest.
Three of us posted frank and honest reviews - which are negative. They pertain to an extremely poor quality and unsanitary property we rented, at great expense, Villa Roussillon.
We have photographic proof of our complaints, which includes the property being overrun by rats.
The scenic sunset terrace views depicted at the point of sale on Provence Living’s website misrepresents the reality of the sunset views. They are blocked by a large walnut tree canopy.
Villa Rousillon was completely miss sold to us.
It is in very poor condition, as well as being in a dirty condition upon our arrival.
Tripadvisor removed all of our reviews, but not before posting the owner’s reply to my initial post.
He openly accused us of ‘spreading lies’ and ‘blackmailing him’. This constitutes bullying, something Tripadvisor allegedly does not tolerate.
Our reviews are truthful.
We simply do not wish others to be left disappointed as we were.
Tripadvisor as a platform has to be more balanced and not biased towards business owners who complain about a bad review.

Negative reviews now buried

I have been a TA follower for years but the current portal is meaningless. They have modified the website in favour of the hotels and sanitized and hidden negative reviews. Now you cant batch all negative reviews and replaced with an AI summary. In addition you now get "hotels favourite review " popping up amongst the reviews. I have lost faith in the impartiality TA used to portray and it's now all in favour of the hotels.Trying to find negative reviews is more difficult and deliberately created by TA to sanitize.

Should be minus 1 million

Should be minus 1 million. I've just been told that TA is abandoning promoting my holiday let with virtually no warning, along with thousands of others. Luckily I'm about to retire and sell up but what an awful firm, no responsibilty to people it set out to serve. Fortunately our website and other marketing meant that we didn't get many TA bookings but the total experience was of a domineering greedy typical american company interested only in its excessive commission, censoring communications and issuing threats. Should be banned from trading.

I have been with TA for many years

I have been with TA for many years. At the beginning it was a 'True' representation of hospitalities services bought. Now, it does not control their system with transparency to all. When a guest or host lies, and proof is given, then that should be suffice for removal of a review or a response. Tripadvisor is not equal in its responses of both guest and host, therefore, you will get lies written. Airbnb are transparent and look after both guest and host, eith reviews left, and the host or guest are able to respond before that review is printed, making the system fare. Airbnb also have a platform whereby if a host is not performing, then they are asked to leave their platform as a means of advertising and selling goods. Tripadvisor also charge 15% of each booking.

Many positives but bedroom let them down

This hotel is in a good location and has great views from the garden and the conservatory/dining area. The furniture in the ground floor public areas is very quirky and very comfortable, a good place to sit and relax at the end of a day out. Unfortunately for us the weather let us down so it was nice to return to the hotel after a wet day and sit with a cup of tea/coffee and a snack, the buffet breakfast was ok, always tables available and busy staff member keeping area clean. The bar had a selection of small snacks and drinks including the alcohol. The two members of staff who manned the reception, bar, breakfast room and folded up the linen at the desk were fantastic. They obviously work very hard but always had a smile, especially the young man, and nothing was too much for them. I hope they are being paid well for all they do. We could have clean towels every day if we wanted. We left a day early because of the weather and we were offered free water for our journey home.
However, there were a few things which spoiled our experience. We booked two small double rooms and were encouraged by the beautiful photos on the website. Unfortunately the rooms were indeed small, so small that in room 104 the bed was against the wall so the person that slept on the right hand side would have to climb over to the other side of the bed to get out. Our friends in that room tried to move the bed over but it was too heavy. In their bathroom there was very limited space, in fact if you sat on the toilet at the end of the room you could touch both sides of the wall with your elbows, the shower was very powerful though so that was a positive. They found the room to be cold as even though the heating came on occasionally their radiator was behind the headboard and they couldn’t reach it to try to switch it on. We had room 3, we were shocked at how small it was. To get out of bed on the right hand side, my husband has to walk sideways, pressed against the wall trying not to bang himself against the TV and the radiator, we have never seen this in a hotel before. Again bathroom was very small, our shower head kept sliding down so we had to wedge it with card to have a shower and the temperature was hard to control. We put our suitcase on the top of the single wardrobe and got showered with fluff and dust when we took it down. The lighting in the room was poor, musty smell, there was a window which was difficult to open but we needed to keep it pulled to as some people would open the fire door near our room to come out of the hotel for a cigarette. These rooms should be single rooms. We were disappointed that the chef was on holiday during the week we were there (until our last day) as we had to eat out each night which meant we lost a car parking space in the car park.
I am sorry that the bigger part of this review is negative as there were many positives. we feel that more money should be spent on the double rooms to make them comfortable and there should be accurate photographs of these rooms on the website. Our main complaint is the standard of these rooms. I hope the manager does not take this as personal criticism as it is meant to be constructive. Maybe some money could be spent of these rooms during the winter months. If that had happened last winter we would have given this hotel 4.5/5. I hope this review is helpful

B*llshit company if you ever have an…

B*llshit company if you ever have an issue. They are quite literally uncontactable and that's exactly how they like it. If you ever have an issue with your booking, refund etc good f**king luck, you'll be constantly directed in circles on their website to 'FAQs' and the useless 'help centre'. This is a deliberate move by TripAdvisor and unacceptable for such a company.

Needs a good overhaul. Listen to your customers.

This App needs a good overhaul. It is falling behind as a reliable source of information. Seemingly it is only there now to sell you a hotel / Restaurant.
I have left nearly 500 reviews over the years and always refer to Trip Advisor before I book a hotel / restaurant.
The problem is that you have no way of contacting them to point out any errors in their listings. I have tried several times to advise them of their shortcomings but they never answer. Sometimes we, the customer, know better than they do! They should stop being so aloof and listen to us.

Fisherman's Rest

Fisherman's Rest. Lymington. What a super place! Staff absolutely fabulous, food to match. Service was prompt & staff were just wonderful. A big plus, fresh water was placed on the table & replenished regularly. Brilliant place to eat & drink & socialise. Thank you 😊

High Standard Breakfast

Breakfast yesterday was it's usual high standard. Made even better by being served by Vicky and Jamie. And booking taken by Emily who was very courteous. We now visit on a weekly basis. Another bonus is the breakfast is available up 12 noon.

I no longer trust tripadvisor

We recently stayed in a 4-star Italian Hotel. The service, food and accommodation were of 2-star standard at best.

Other TripAdvisor reviewers who stayed at the same hotel made similarly poor reviews. Shortly after there appeared a flood of 5-star reviews after very few reviews had been posted in the previous year. I believe these 5-star reviews were fake as they did not reflect what we had experienced and contained incorrect hotel information. Most of the content of these 5-star reviews could have been gleaned from online descriptions of the hotel by people who had never been there.

I twice raised these points with Tripadvisor but in the intervening period between June and August 2024 none of these fake reviews were deleted.

I had always tended to dismiss the best and worst reviews of businesses on Tripadvisor but now feel they cannot be trusted and are often misleading potential customers into spending good money on poor hotels etc. Beware.

TripAdvisor Not trustable anymore

TripAdvisor work with hospitality businesses however absolutely don't respect them at all.
A livelihood restaurant which takes years of hard work, sweat and tears to build reputation and yet someone haven't even been into can / allowed to destroy it in seconds on their couch. When reported TripAdvisor don't even bother looking at it. Shame!
And you know what, less and less people trust TripAdvisor anymore for good reason. Not more advertising until they get genuine again what they used to be.

The Big Tripadvisor Lie!

As a business Tripadvisor was an important source for review and feedback. Until we found out the hard way that Tripadvisor is not to be trusted. So it seems, a person doesn't really have to stay or experience your business to write a review. Now this may not come as a surprise. Though... it doesn't have to be true either. We have disputed a review which was full of lies which we can prove, but Tripadvisor refuses to remove or respond. On top of this, we renovated our business and wanted old photographs removed as they don't represent our business anymore. Tripadvisor again refuses. So the information on their platform is not accurate. A shame, as it could be a helpfull tool. On to Google.
