The Jade Fountain
The Jade Fountain, Sawston, Cambridgeshire.
We went for a meal while staying the night at the local Holiday Inn Express......it was the best Chinese meal we have ever had!
We are vegetarians, so when we saw that they had Quorn we were really pleased - however, once there we opted for their Taster Menu, where the Quorn isn't included. We did NOT miss the Quorn at all.......all the different dishes were absolutely wonderful.
The staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive.....and Eric - the owner and chef - came out to ask if we had enjoyed our meal! He was lovely - and a talented chef!
Thank you to everyone there from Kate & John.
Prices advertised don't exist.
Bad price practices.
£137 advertised. Click through, sent out to Zen Hotels as their partner. £137 advertised. Click through to see rooms. £301 for a room.
prices are not cheap as claimed
Trivago say how good they prices are.
Every time I rang the hotel directly I got a better price so something about they advertisement is not correct
Great guest house
We had a very comfortable, lovely stay at Hillcrest guest house in Whitby. It was a real treat to have breakfast in our room, it felt so relaxed. We had a problem with our shower but we were accommodated as quickly as possible to another comfortable room.
Our lovely hosts gifted us a bottle of fizz in our room to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was very much appreciated.

Fabulous location Great value & atmosphere
I stayed at z trafalgar for a week, the concept of urbanised cityscape is the only way to be provided with an excellent service of customer service and fabulous location.
All of the staff made the effort to be welcoming , professional and friendly,
The value for money is much more than what I expected.
The room.ensuite and cleanliness are of the highest quality.
Lien, anastasia, nasisah and .promise all have made a memorable one for me.
Thank You to team z, I look forward to seeing you again in the future ️

So intuitive I got Milton Keynes instead of Milan
Sadly I never got even as far as customer services because Trivago has the worse website ever - its default position seems to be to find hotels in London, even if you haven't entered London in the search box. Enter Milan - no results, you still get London. persist with Milan - you get listings for Milton Keynes. It's intuitive, you see. It knows what you want. Except it doesn't. i want Milan, not London, not Milton Keyes. Conceded defeat and went to Hotels.com.

Trivago - poor customer service!!
So booked a hotel in Paris via Crystal Travel - was put through to them via Trivago. Have e-mailed the said hotel in Paris - they deny the booking or having even heard of Crystal Travel. Crystal say they have the booking. So emailed trivago for help. Absolutely useless and just sent a prepared email with general information on it. Regretting using trivago. Definite one-star service.

I've been using Trivago on/off for years and for the last few have exclusively used Booking.com - On this one occasion switched back to Trivago who referred us to Roomdi.com - As you can see with other reviews this is NOT a reputable company. I'm now down £300 as they do not respond or have made any attempt to resolve our issue. I will be extremely reluctant to use Trivago again as I don't believe they vet out 3rd parties thoroughly enough neither will I use them for my business trips nor recommend my clients use them either.

Always a positive experience - May it continue! …
I have booked a few hotels via Trivago over the past several years and always had positive experiences! Somehow the offers are often significantly cheaper than big sites like booking.com etc, and you get the same hotels and services! I would thoroughly recommend checking your preferred hotel on trivago before booking!

Don't trust them.
Booked a two day hotel stay at the mecure Brighton. After consideration, booked 2 nights in the premium with a balcony. Just got in the room and surprise, no balcony. Looked back at the confirmation and the confirmation they sent has nothing about balcony but I didn't check it. It's only out of sheer luck I have the original screen shot my Mrs took of what we were supposed to be paying for. Otherwise I'd look like I'd just booked the wrong thing. No fault at all of the mecure who have been awesome. Just a shame these staff have to deal with the crap trivafo send their way. I'll never buy anything from trivago again, and this is from someone who books upwards of £28,000 annually for the company. This is the last time I get to a hotel, just to actually look in detail at what they've sent me to find out I've still paid the same money, but for an inferior room than was originally agreed. Complete con. Skip these con artists and book through someone else or direct. My company will never use them again.

Unreliable/frustrating.
I wrote about non-existent pricing deals on Trivago. They replied (as they seem to have with several other people) that they are only reporting the prices as supplied by vendor sites, and I should clear my cache etc. i.e. "not Trivago fault". They tell me "All booking sites displayed on trivago send us their set prices daily, and our technology updates these prices multiple times a day, but not exactly in real time."
Note: 1. My cache was clear, plus this is the first time I've been on Trivago for more than 1 year if not longer, and the first time ever in the geographic location.
2. Having seen the price discrepancy, I telephoned the hotel reception. They had no knowledge at all of the supposed deal and the receptionist said she hadn't seen a deal like that "in ages".
I spent 30+ years in IT so have a reasonable feel for how systems can (and cannot) work. All I can say is, someone's system is not working OR someone is telling porkies. Hey trivago, maybe you might want to consider that as several people have this same problem, the way your system works isn't the best??

I booked a hotel in Barcelona with Trivago only to find out the company had gone bust so I had to pay the hotel again. Trivago took no responsibility and couldn't have cared less. I'll never book with them again. Trivago replied saying they are not involved with the payment process. Surely they are responsible for allowing a company that had gone bust to still be advertised on their website! They have completely missed the point!

I booked a hotel near Rome via my regular booking service at £87.00 for a room with a sea view and breakfast. I then checked on Trivago and found the same property on the same date at £93.00 for a room with NO breakfast included. This makes their advertising highly suspect.

Amazing Holiday and Hotel!
We've recently returned from an amazing holiday at the Commodore Elite Suite & Spa in Side, Turkey.
We had an amazing holiday. The staff at the hotel in all areas were so attentive. The food was fresh with a wide selection on a daily basis. The coffee shop/ice cream parlour was amazing. The spa was superb. Toilets always spotless. Swimming pool area immaculate. Entertainment was great. We literally have only positives to say about our whole experience. Cleanliness from our room to the whole of the hotel and facilities were top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of booking here.
5* all inclusive and 5* reviews.

Booked rooms with stayalong via trivago. Rooms not booked, advised by trivago, to wait for a few days before stay to check again. Hundreds of reviews describe turning up and no booking been made, cannot risk , booking cancelled money lost. Would never use trivago again.

Booked a room via Trivago using rooms…
Booked a room via Trivago using rooms XXL-booked and paid for on 27th June for stay last night for my son. Received booking confirmation etc even print out 48 hours prior. Called the hotel directly yesterday morning early to try and get an earlier check in only to be advised there was no booking ?? They looked via codes, numbers names etc but nothing. They had no availability either. I had no choice but to book another hotel at an additional cost of 115 pounds. Rooms XXL got back to me and said we did have a booking-and gave another number. I called the hotel back and they said Accor? And themselves could find nothing and the number I had was under someone else’s names??!!! I duly asked for a refund of my initial payment to XXL only to be told they are waiting for the hotel to get back to them and could I provide a copy of the bill for the new hotel I booked to go with my “appeal”??!!!!! 1. I wasn’t aware I was appealing they did not provide a room I paid for and 2. I was not asking for payment for the room I had to re-book-3. The information from the hotel was clear to XXL as the lady from the hotel said they had spoken with them and told them there was no booking for us. I am now met with silence no further communication. I will not be using Trivago again if it gives way to allow companies to deliver or shall I say not deliver what a customer has booked and paid for.
