DANGEROUS AND COMPLICIT IN FALSIFICATION OF MOTS. Take a look at the other reviews who will also warn you to avoid this sham of a business if you value your life and safety. I am currently taking these rogue traders to court and Trading Standards are involved. Dodgy dangerous vehicles sold and no responsibility taken. They have no idea what they are doing except to take your money. AVOID!

When you go to Trophy Cars they are charm itself and certainly you have a wide selection of F and TF models to view. When you collect your car, all is well and you leave with a nice sports car something you have always wanted and there is nothing better than taking home your new toy. The trouble starts when an issue develops. In my case a week later when the car packed up. Yes, it went back to Trophy after several phone calls and an e-mail but not a comfortable and obliging situation. The car came back a week later, but it packed up again – same problem. This time I took it to my own garage. The battery wasn’t charging so I purchased a new one. A week after that the sensors started acting up, then the exhaust, a trip with the AA and then the clutch dropped out, pink liquid below car, split hose and so on and so forth. To an extent you accept a 20-year-old car is going to need some TLC but there is TLC and a rebuild. Move forward a few months and Trophy have not sent their half of the log book to DVLA. I can’t renew my road tax because the MOT can’t be done because the clutch has dropped out and the car hasn’t been transferred to me so I have had to write to DVLA having had a long chat with them with a form for a new log book, £25 and a Sorn form. Having called Trophy about this they said they would look into matters and didn’t call back, when I rang them again, they said it would take them hours to go through their files (odd in this digital age) and they have ignored all my calls since. Mistakes happen and certainly I should have chased them earlier regarding the log book, but the change of tone when issues occur and the lack of communication and help isn’t great. My recommendation is if you want an F or a TF go for it, they are great cars to drive, if possible, I would steer well clear of Trophy Cars. If, however, you find the car of your dreams is with Trophy Cars take a mechanic with you and don’t leave without taking the log book yourself to post and don’t rely on any after sales care, invest in a very large wallet or purse and don’t think like I did the safest option is to buy from a specialist garage. The preparation they brag about before purchase with my car seems to be little more than a good polish, so ask for a full list and receipts of works completed. If all is going well - charming, any issues a different scenario. I don’t usually write reviews; on the odd occasion I have it’s always been positive but having been let down so very badly I have felt compelled to write this review as I don’t won’t anyone else to have such a miserable experience as I have had and a lot of unnecessary worry, next stop Trading Standards.

Took our MG - TF for a full service and MOT, new stainless steel coolant pipes, replacement caliper, sub frame bush replacement. Excellent and professional service all the guys go above and beyond thankyou and especially Nathan. If you love your MG go to Trophy Cars

Trophy cars took over servicing my 2001 MGF quite a few years ago at a point where I was going to give it up ...and although I did spend quite a bit of money to start with, years later I couldn't be happier! I left it with them for a pre check MOT and small service and I got it back last weekend , all passed with just a few minor advisories! Thank you very much Team Trophy, you are always understanding, helpful and obviously very good at what you do !!

I've been using Trophy Cars for a number of years for my LE500. Always get great service and very fair prices from a specialist dealer. Latest service and MoT was done to high standard and Matt and his team are happy to share their knowledge.

I recently purchased a TF from here. Absolutely no pressure whilst I was looking at their vast selection, just helpful advice on what might suit my needs and price range. The car was delivered with a call when it was an hour away. The chaps were professional at all times and the passion for their business was evident. Highly recommended if looking for a MGF / TF.

Extremely poor service, emailed twice about a car over the course of a week never got a reply!! Telephoned and was told the car I was interested in was sold!! Very poor service

Excellent service from Matt and Kev. Car was perfect when I collected it, barring some missed marks on the windscreen ( which are now in the process of being sorted under warranty)

I travel over 300miles to get my MG spark looked at by Trophy cars. This team is exceptional, I have to say!.. they really know their stuff, and the customer care service is the best. Do not take you MG car anywhere else. These guys are as professional as it gets, regarding MGs. Thank you for another year of brilliant service!

When holidaying with the family in the Midlands, had decided to travel over to Trophy Cars and see what they had in stock as I fancied up-dating our current 2005 MG TF 135 Spark which had been purchased from them in 2018. After spending a long time wandering through all their stock, asked about 2011 MG TF 135. Keys were in the ignition so asked if we could take it for a drive. No problem at all, just left my license with them. Suitably impressed with the car, decided to buy it. Asked about trading the older car against it, no problems either.
Asked if it was possible to deliver the car and take the other back at the same time. Again not a problem, although they said it may be a couple of weeks before they could deliver.
Phone call on the Wednesday to say was the following Tuesday satisfactory and agreed.
Chris rang me when on his way to say what time he would arrive. Unloaded new car and uploaded the old one, sorted out the paperwork and Chris was on his way again for another 5 hour drive back.
Thank you Matt for looking after us when we bought the car, promise to be back soon for an up market exhaust.

Living in the Devon and owning a MG tf we have always wanted to visit Trophy Cars having seen some excellent cars for sale. Last month traveling home from Yorkshire we visited Trophy Cars having spoken to Matt to arrange a suitable time. The kettle was on and we were shown several cars we would like to see. Two hours later having been left alone and not pestered we decided to upgrade our MG tf for a later model. Matt was great and introduced us to the owner Kevin. A deal was struck and collection and delivered were arranged.
One week later our new vehicle was delivered. We are very pleased and having picked a suitable day drove 129 miles testing and enjoying it. We had a couple of questions which Matt answered over the phone and one very small problem with the parking sensors. Matt has this in hand and it will be sorted shortly by a local garage.Having had a new cam belt and water pump fitted has given us piece of mind and with RAC breakdown and 3 months warranty we are happy.
Matt and Kevin were great and we have no hesitation in recommending them. We will be visiting them again .
Trophy Cars are a credit to the motor Trade unlike so many.

After months of no rain, my MG was helpfully delivered by Trophy cars while it was bucketing down.
After they left I noticed water coming in through a corner in the hood. I called them and they arrived very quickly to take the car and sort the problem & bring it back, all with a couple of hours.
As it had been so dry I can see why nobody would have picked up the issue before delivery.
The measure of a company can be better tested not when things are right, but what happens when things dont go so well.
In this case Trophy cars could not be bettered, the response and speed of the service was excellent so credit where its due. A big well done!

What a pleasure to be able to give a positive review of a trustworthy trader. Trophy supplied a vehicle to my son from the wide selection available. No hard sell but a wealth of information from the charming guy Ed. The car was very well prepared and incorporated requests we made for some changes and improvements. The car itself is a delight. When we had a couple of issues with the car they sorted it for us and Leena made it her personal mission to recover our outlay when the warranty company tried to give us the run around. What we could not achieve, she managed in a couple of hours.
This outfit clearly care about their reputation and adopt a helpful laid back approach in their manner. I would say talk to them on the 'phone or visit them and you should not be disappointed. I am a right fusspot when it comes to vehicles and have been truly impressed by this dealer's choice, value and service. Thank-you Trophy Cars
