Cleverly designed. At the right height fo save bending. With a bad back it works really well.

Truncator Pro Review

I bought this having cut down 100's of trees whilst clearing land for an orchard. I first saw it on Dragons Den where they were really rude to the inventors. I thought it was a great idea and was not disappointed. I dealt with a massive pile of wood over the course of a week, which I couldn't face doing with my old saw horse. It just saves so much time and bending over etc. One of the best things I have bought it's simple and it works - I would recommend it to anyone who has a woodburner to feed!

Wonderful

I keep it very handy as we burn wood all the winter. A TRUNCATOR makes summer logging so much easier. You can do morning sticks as well
but use a smaller saw.

Excellent bit of kit

My logs are all lovely and uniform making them so much easier to stack! Kit was delivered really quickly and easy to put together, when I called them with a small query I got through to a HUMAN who answered my question there and then. Brilliant.

Excellent

I purchased the Truncator Pro for my husband last year. We cut our own firewood which can be arduous. The Truncator is an excellent piece of equipment which is sturdy, and very well designed. It has made our lives much easier!

Useful bit of kit can be used single handed.

I think this is a very useful piece of equipment, the wood is held securely and doesn't need to be moved along transversley between cuts. Great for speedily producing small logs for my wood burning stoves. Minor downside. It's easy to cut into the transverse beam of the truncator when finishing a log. I'm going to fit a sacrificial piece of wood on top of the beam and mount the plastic brackets on that, replacing it from time to time. JMTH Rossendale.

So why spend a chunk of hard earned cash on Truncator ? Because it works very well, to the point where I have absolutely no regrets about my purchase. It holds wood of all shapes and sizes securely to enable safe and quick cutting. It's easy to set up and put away, as well as being very stable in use. Highly recommended.

Truncator is the best piece of equipment for logging, after my chain saw!

My son who is a qualified tree surgeon recommended Truncator. I was sceptical - yet another gadget I thought. The first time I used it, I wondered how I had managed for so long without Truncator.

For convenience I bring logs 4 feet long or so from my wood. Laying them into the cups/carriers of Truncator and chain sawing, saves my back and is much safer than trying to saw logs on the ground. Also there is no risk of prematurely blunting a blade on a stone. Sawing between the carriers guarantees a straight cut.

Once sawn, the logs can be quickly removed by pushing the carriers backwards. All ready for splitting!

Hello Peter thank you for your great review and it's great to hear tree surgeons like it too.

The Truncator allows one to easily cut those small and medium diameter branches which can be so awkward with a chainsaw.

Before having a Truncator, I only wanted to log up those straight and greater than 3 inch diameter branches due to the problems in holding them steady while cutting. The Truncator allows me to use all those smaller branches with no fuss or worry of chain snatching and to cut them into the right lengths for our stoves very efficiently. A well thought out product - a shame that the Dragons on the BBC program didn't understand. I would not want to use any other type of saw horse

Brilliant bit of kit

Does exactly what I want. It arrived promptly, was easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy. It makes the job of cutting up a lot of small branches or a few bigger ones much quicker and easier and with far less effort.
I took it over to France and have used it to help with fallen trees by our road and the voisins (neighbours!) were hugely impressed!

Surprisingly excellent product!

At the time of purchase I thought this might be a bit of a gimmick, but decided anything would be better than trying to strap down tree branches of various lengths and thicknesses, ready to cut with a small chain saw. The unit was quickly delivered, and worked safely. Cutting time has been reduced very considerably. Had to modify recommended spacing of the units on the bench, owing to requirement for short logs for a small log- burning stove, so a little more care needed with the saw blade.

Thank you Clive. I also have my cups close together for smaller logs. Don't worry too much about your cutting the cups will never damage your chain!
