Charged more than advertised when upgrading

After using Trustprofile for several years, I decided to upgrade my subscription plan. According to their pricing, the difference between the two plans was €5 per month.

However, instead of charging the stated €5 difference, I was charged €8 per month. The additional €3 was explained as a “fee”, even though this fee was not clearly stated during the upgrade process and the pricing page explicitly indicated a €5 monthly difference.

This lack of transparency is unacceptable. If additional fees apply, they should be clearly communicated in advance.

Due to this misleading pricing and unexpected charges, we have decided to stop using this service. I cannot recommend a company that does not clearly honor its own pricing information.

Company profiles can be removed from Trustprofile when they have bad reviews

I left a review about a company on trustprofile.com two years ago. I was dissatisfied with the company, and gave it a low score. Today, I checked the page for this company on Trustprofile and I was greeted with the following message: "The profile has been taken down so, we are unable to profile any information regarding their trustworthiness.". The company in question is still in business and its domain is the same, so this shows that Trustprofile can be influenced in some way to remove the profiles of companies when those companies don't like the bad reviews they've gotten. This makes Trustprofile entirely pointless and a waste of everyone's time.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand why this situation can be confusing and frustrating. Webshops have the option to take their profile offline themselves. When a profile is no longer active, we no longer display its content, as we cannot continue to provide up-to-date and verifiable information about a company’s trustworthiness without their active participation.

This does not mean that profiles are removed because of negative reviews. Rather, the entire profile becomes inactive. Our goal is to offer transparency and reliable information to consumers, which is why we only show profiles whose accuracy and relevance we can guarantee. We take feedback like yours seriously and use it to further improve our platform.
