Lying, useless, thieves

Have now been waiting since 2021 for a refund on a cancelled holiday. The customer service is pretty much non existent and if lying was a sport they would be world champions. If you are unfortunate enough to have to deal with this shower of lying, untrained, idiots I feel your pain.

Do not book with any travel company…

Do not book with any travel company which is backed by TTA Travel. It's a con, they claim that they'll protect your money when in reality they pass it onto a 3rd party and then aren't able to retrieve it. Their actions are illegal, and Dan is a liar.

I would give 0 stars from the service…

I would give 0 stars from the service I’ve received from TTA. After Alpharooms went bust we were referred to travel trust association to help us process a refund after paying for our holiday x2. This holiday was from August 2021
Alpharooms went officially bust in October 2021. Travel trust Association was then put in charge of Processing refunds owed to customers. We filled out forms to see if we were eligible on numerous occasions and were told that a refund would be in process and TTA would be in contact with us. This is years later after failed phone conversations and no responses from my emails. When I called and explained numerous occasions I was told someone will contact me back. Still no refund after TTA approving it and saying we were eligible just giving the run around. We are owed €1700.

Take out a CCJ and get your money back

We cancelled 2 holidays with teletext holidays because of covid, and asked for a refund. Teletext went bust and the TTA took over the debt. My husband spent christ knows how long on the phone, sending emails, copies of confirmation info, payment details, bank details, over and over again, only to be offered a quarter of monies due. Do yourself a favour and take out a CCJ against them ,as soon as the TTA received the court paperwork, before it came to trial, they paid in full including all court costs.

Absolute robbing scum bags

Had a package with Teletext re-contracted to TTA. Believing in Murphy's law I called the transfer company before we were due to travel and sure enough transfers had been cancelled. Called TTA and they said "oh yeh they've been cancelled you'll have to rearrange and you'll be refunded within 2 weeks". I came back from my holiday on 29/07/2022 and still don't have the refund for the transfer. When they were answering their phones they just kept saying next week, 10 day, next month, now they rarely answer the phones. Just praying they go bust so I can claim against Atol.

Awaiting refund, avoid if possible

This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. Our package holiday was taken over by TTA after Teletext went bust, and at first everything seemed.. ok. 1 month before travel I paid the remaining balance online and after calling a few times to let them know, I finally received a confirmation email, following by the booking confirmations for the flight, hotel and hotel transfers.
I called before departing to ask them to send me the tickets for the hotel transfers, as they had only sent me a booking reference number, to which they replied that would be all I needed at the airport.
Arriving at the airport, the transfer company told us that the booking we had was cancelled by the company in September 2021 (5 months before the total balance was paid).
Then arriving at the hotel, much to our disbelief, the same thing happened. The hotel printed an email they had received from the company in September 2021 (5 MONTHS before paying the balance, and 6 months before the holiday was due).
Needless to say we requested an immediate refund as we had to pay the hotel to stay there, as well as pay for the transfers. Initially it seemed that was sorted relatively quickly, after a 20 minute wait on hold, someone asked for our bank details and informed us we would be refunded within 4 working days.
It's now well beyond 4 working days, we can't get through to them on the phone and are currently £600 out of pocket. A letter of complaint has been sent and I am hopeful of hearing back and eventually getting my money back, if not it will be a matter for the small claims court.
