They overbooked and couldn’t get the room that we paid for, for the 1st day and the hotel acted like it wasn’t a bigger deal and the TUI representatives had mixed opinions.

This hotel was out of this world. I had a 11 and 18 year old with me. We had non stop fun and enjoyed every minute of our holiday. The only thing that was missing was some outside shops to go for a walk around.

Our holiday was fantastic, we stayed for two weeks in RIU Karamboa. It was extremely relaxing and fun, the entertainment team were amazing and deserve all the credit for making the experience memorable. Food and drink was great, more table service at the ‘themed’ restaurants would have be nice but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Resort was spotless and well kept, and the facilities were exceptional. TUI made booking the trip super easy, everything was simple and we didn’t have to arrange anything. We will 100% book with TUI again for a hassle free, high standard, happy holiday.

Accommodation was definitely not 5star, more like 3star. Staff amazing especially the entertainment staff, they worked so hard and kept everyone entertained day and night. The whole hotel could do with a refurb. The grounds are immaculate and kept so well. Beaches unbelievable. Great variety of food, but the staff working in the restaurant had the attitude of not caring. Some of the stations had no staff. One was picking her teeth and spitting into a bin, then serving people. The chefs cooking in the kitchens did amazing job. Pools good. Rooms clean, bed very comfy, towels could do with being replaced and upgraded.

The hotel was super clean but the pool bar staff were rude and the food was poor even at the restaurant you had to book. The maintenance, cleaning staff and the people that worked in the restaurant were super lovely. We were promised that the hotel have plenty going on in the day ( different activities) but all there was was Zumba in the pool ( my 11 year old had no interest) and a mat the kids could run across in the pool. They did display activity in the reception but when you turn up at the time no one was there. This happen three time regarding the beach football. I feel we were mis sold this hotel as I spend hours in the travel agents trying to find a hotel that had everything we needed. The only thing that made up for all of this was the beach. It was beautiful.

They left us in Cape Verde for 2 days as their plan was not fit for purpose due to wear and tear. They did not communicate with passengers effectively. They then try to get out of paying the flight compensation redress, and also tell customers that they will only give a holiday voucher rather than a full or partial refund. I’m taking TUI to ABTA and the aviation ADR as they do not follow UK legislation

Another fantastic holiday at RIU Palace Boavista, great selection of food & drinks all of good quality. Made to feel very welcome by many members of staff as returning guests. Beautiful location. Great inflight service from TUI crew & helpful resort representatives
