A very poor experience

We booked Tuk Tuk Photobooths for our wedding in May 2026.
Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly below expectations.
Before the wedding, we specifically discussed the venue layout and agreed that the Tuk Tuk would be relocated during the event so that it remained accessible once guests moved from the drinks reception into the main reception area. This was an important factor in our decision to book.
On the day, the relocation did not take place and the Tuk Tuk remained positioned outside on the lawn. As a result, it received very limited use despite there being around 160 guests at the wedding. Only 18 groups ultimately used the booth.
What was particularly disappointing was that many of the issues appeared to arise from planning and preparation. This was the supplier's first time at the venue, no site visit was carried out beforehand, and key practical matters such as access restrictions, power arrangements and the suitability of the agreed locations do not appear to have been fully established before the wedding day. In our view, these are matters that should have been identified and resolved in advance.
Following the wedding, when we raised our concerns, we felt that too much emphasis was placed on explaining why the issues were caused by the venue or by information provided by others, rather than acknowledging that the planning process had not worked as intended. As customers, we found this response frustrating, particularly given that we had relied on the supplier's professional expertise when agreeing the setup.
He did eventually agree to provide a substantial refund. However, reaching that resolution took considerably more time and effort than we had expected.
The Tuk Tuk itself is a great concept and the photos we did receive were good quality. However, our experience was ultimately overshadowed by shortcomings in planning, communication and the handling of our complaint afterwards.
My advice to anyone considering booking would be to ensure that all access requirements, power arrangements, exact locations and any planned movement of the Tuk Tuk are fully confirmed with the venue well in advance of the event.
