It was nice, I used it maybe few times a year when some site blocked my IP for stupid reasons (mainly in US). I could pretend I was in US. But no longer possible with the free version. Would be okay f... See more

Tunnelbear
I am thankful for the Tunnelbear.
They stood by us Iranian people to pass filtering and censorship.
Thanks again for their service.
Easiest VPN to use and works great!
I have been using tunnel bear for many years. Very easy to use. No clue about the bad reviews. This VPN is so easy to set. You simply select the Country where you want to connect or select "Fastest". I have left it in Fastest since I started years ago. I have not ever had a connection issue. The only issue is with some companies when I log in the company thinks I am someone else which is actually good because is that not what a VPN should do ...
Can't link to US cities as advertised
It advertises that you can link to US cities but when you pay for the upgrade it doesn't let you. Very misleading.
I reached out to the customer service team but they are not helpful. After several email exchanges they could not tell me how to access US cities.
Works perfectly, easy to use
It has worked for everything I am using, like Netflix and Eurovision. As well as for gaming and stuff.
Interface and website were very very easy to use, nothing complicated. Cannot recommend enough, they also have a free plan so u could explore it.
The best VPN i ever used.

Spent $100 on a connection that doesn't work. Intent was to watch local streaming from abroad. It has no effect what so ever - apart from slowing down your connection
Cannot recommend
it's fairly good
it's fairly good, has some issues over time with less used countries (e.g. sometimes instead of romania/denmark it appears as USA), but 90% of the time it works well.
Does the job well
Does the job well, occasionally disconnects but overall good service
Slow Connection
Slow Connection

Very Fast and stable at good price!
I loved my bear vpn but no router access
I loved my bear vpn, it was reliable and worked fine, but I cannot stand I cannot set it up for my router and that's the main reason why I'm switching to a different vpn, I wrote this so maybe they pay more attention to delivering the features that can make their users stay
Good vpn service
Yeaeh its good but problem is that i need to pay for traffic, but atleast i used 500mb free, vpn is very fast!
Tunnelbear - too slow to use.
I have had a paid subscription to Tunnelbear for several years now. Initially I, like so many, wanted it to bypass geoblocking. It worked fairly well for a few months after which many content providers got wise to VPNs and started blocking IPs.
Getting on a streaming service somewhere became a matter of trying again and again until you might get lucky and hit an IP which wasn't (yet) blocked.
Ok, that's a condition of the game. It still seemed to work reasonably well.
That is, until the last few months. Tunnelbear has become so painfully slow that you can't even use it. Normal webpages load like it was back in the 28.8K modem days, but I'm on a 1 GB fibre connection. I've tested it out and though you have to expect some slowdown due to passing through more links in the chain, this is ridiculous.
In reality, Tunnelbear is not usable for anything streaming, webbrowsing - forget about gaming and in fact I can't think of a single thing you can practically use Tunnelbear for.
Would not recommend. Dropping my sub and jumping on the NordVPN bandwagon.
The free version limitation
The connection has a pretty basic speed, but the thing is, the free version, it has too many limitations, only 500 MB a month... It's too limited for me. I don't really like paying for a VPN service, so I didn't recommend you to use this if you don't want to pay anything.
I have used TunnelBear approx 2x per…
I have used TunnelBear approx 2x per week in the past year. I had found it reliable. Something very odd started happening beginning ~Mar. 24, 2022. Even a week or so before that, the Canada country free VPN option which had always been viable in the past, refused to connect. I already began to suspect that perhaps world events (fear of hackers) was a (temporary?) root cause.
The last week of March, however, none of the dozens of country IPs would work. My apps are set to update, but no update action or notification was forthcoming. What’s worse: for the last few days my primary device (iPad Mini 2) would keep losing not my router but my home WiFi signal. Google search/YouTube were failing, but DDG search and other apps still functioned —Very Confusing!— At the time, I was not using TBear, and I never fail to switch it off b/c I don’t want to lose free minutes.
It turns out that TBear was still trying to connect (in vain) to VPN sites from my previous session despite the fact that THE SLIDER WAS SET TO OFF! I removed TBear app and... RESULT: full iPad WiFi restored: PROBLEM SOLVED!
To the good people at TBear: What the heck is going on with your app? In keeping with your professionalism as evident on your website, you need to properly inform users of any anomalies and changes to hardware/app compatibility. Some kind of failsafe should have prevented (if not cautioned me re) the issue that took place with my iPad. After performing countless tests on my router and device, I literally had to DELETE YOUR APP to solve the problem! I’m afraid that I will not feel comfortable installing your service on my device ever again. I do hope my considered feedback may help you. —RPA

It seems Bear doesn't work in Russia anymore -_-
I've been using it for 3 years with several devices without major issues
Overall good, speed could be better
You can't use this to stream content…
You can't use this to stream content from out of the country, even though they claim you can. The company won't refund you if you paid for a service they can't provide. It's misleading advertising.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. The extension is simple to set up and use, and it performs as intended, however the app is terrible. Because it frequently fails to connect, I've resorted to utilising only the browser extension.
Sadly I have had to turn this VPN off
Sadly I have had to turn this VPN off. It regularly disconnects (randomly), does not enable the simplest of websites to be accessed (regularly), and regularly requires resetting as it prevents normal internet usage (on an an almost hourly basis I need to manually disconnect and reconnect VPN) . Such a pain and a faff. A total and utter waste of money. Please buy another VPN. Not worth the money or the continuous hassle.
