Easy ordering and fast delivery which is why I use them a lot.

I recently placed an order via the Turners Retreat website. I paid and sent the order. I realised then that I had missed a couple of items off my order. On checking, I found that there was no way to amend the order and so I clicked the link at the bottom of the page to cancel the order. This brought me to a page that requested the reason, which I filled in as above, and clicked the submit cancellation button.
I then placed a new order.
I was dismayed when a few days later I received a notification that BOTH orders had been despatched. These subsequently arrived. I contacted Turners retreat to explain the situation and was told that if I sent the order back I would receive a full refund but NOT THE POSTAGE!
Not happy with this, I asked to speak to a manager, who just fell short of calling me a liar as they had no proof that I had cancelled the order. He totally rejected my explanation and would not budge on the postage.
Talk about poor customer relations!!!
However, as I did not want the first order, I went into my orders on the site and clicked the "return order" button. This again asked for a reason, which I duly filled in. I then clicked the "Submit Return Request" button, expecting to get a reply and a return code.
What did I get? NOTHING.
Clearly their website is not correctly set up.
I see no reason why, as it is clearly their problem, I should not be reimbursed with return postage.
Place orders on this web site at your peril!

I contacted Turners Retreat on 19th July for some replacement Robert Sorby woodturning tool handles. My query was managed by Amanda in sales who gave immediate telephone advice and logged my call. She was outstanding in her customer care from start to finish; with efficient contact with the supplier, taking payment over the phone, confirmation of order, a follow up call and delivery exactly as promised on 24th July. 5 Stars for outstanding customer feedback.
