Finally after seven weeks my lost…
Finally after seven weeks my lost £91.25 has been found, thanks to the hard work of "Janice" (one of their managers working from home) in just a couple of days. She kept me up to date with her progress as promised. I have sent numerous e-mails over the last seven weeks getting different people each time & all i experienced after giving the same information over & over again was. "i will look into it & promise to phone you back" which of course nobody ever did. I have only awarded 5 stars because of the efficiency of Janice. In my opinion she is a credit to Tuxedo. (Pity she doesn't run the company)

A bogus company called SMBX compliance - An individual has been emailing asking for ID and other documents including the proof of source. The bank Is fraudulent DO NOT open an account with ECCOUNT or put any money into an account you have with them! They are scammers and take all your money. I have complained to the financial ombudsman and I have gone to the police today. Your money is taken from these guys AVOID AVOID AVOID. Are these people scammers ?
I'm placing this here as I'm an Eccount customer.
Eccount are part of Tuxedo Money Solutions.
There's obviously been something seriously dodgy going on for the last year or two.
I've forwarded the edited complaint below to the Ombudsman, my Local MP, and an organisation that investigates scammers.
The Company Director is, according to the registry directory, a man called Scott Allen Lanphere - I'm not sure he's even aware of what's been going on.
I'm trying to track down his email too.
Anyway below is a summary of my recent experiences with Tuxedo/Eccount:
I primarily use the account to pay my rent, or small deposits into my other account, and on the last few occasions transactions I sent out on Jan 27th (2021) and Jan 29th and Jan 31st have still not arrived. These transfers were to accounts that have received money from myself before i.e. my landlord's account and my other personal account.
I emailed the company a formal complaint as 'apparently' their office helpdesk is closed due to the pandemic - as it says on their answerphone.
Needless to say I didn't receive an email back.
On a hunch I decided to try ringing as if I was applying to be a new customer. Lo and behold somebody picked up the phone !
I managed to get them to look at my account and asked why the transfers out had not been paid.
I was informed there was a 'technical glitch', and the only option would be to pay the transfers back into my account. I was then told once this had happened I couldn't make any payments out until notified. Given their communication skills snd customer service record this was hardly reassuring.
Needless to say the money still hasn't been paid back into my account, although they've admitted awareness of the transactions leaving. Surely this is simply a deliberate hold-up ? If you pardon the pun.
Essentially, my money has disappeared into cyberscam space.
Having looked at recent customer reviews of Eccount, and Tuxedo, they have a shocking reputation.
Similar to my experience, customers observe no response to emails, transfers in and out taking days or simply disappearing.
I've read time and time again of customers being palmed off with excuses of refunds that never materialise.
Obviously they're still functioning to take on more customers, while telling existing customers that their helpdesk is closed.
Some honesty, transparency and communication from both companies should be the least they could provide.

I have been waiting over seven months…
I have been waiting over seven months to have the funds transferred back to me after my card expired. This is without doubt the worst company I have had the misfortune to encounter. I have been left without funds, whilst out of work as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic with bills mounting. The hundreds of pounds I am owed are being deliberately withheld, impacting not only my financial but mental health. This organisation is simply not bothered, excuse after excuse and lie after lie. Tuxedo are not even worthy of a one star rating and this should simply be viewed as a means to review. I implore you - please do not give a penny or cent to this outfit.
One to avoid
One to avoid, terrible customer service which is slow to respond, has basic grasp of english and I will use that reason not to call them rude on every occasion. Top up is an ongoing issue where the site does not confirm your top up so I have ended up topping up twice and trying to get your money recredited is impossible. Really terrible and should not be in business
GREEDY TUXEDO
GREEDY TUXEDO - Been with Tuxedo Prepaid for more than 8 years. They USED to be good - for paying internet bills where you weren't too sure of overseas purchases on Ebay etc. The Prepaid element gave comfort that any miscreant could not thieve too much from the prepaid account. HOWEVER, Tuxedo appear to have been taken over and a MASSIVE HIKE in already greedy fees. AVOID the Tuxedo prepaid cards until they bring their greedy fees back down. Check out prepaid card rates on MoneySupermarket dot com or similar.

Eccount difficulties in offering a banking service
I have been unable to pay standing orders or make payments to bank accounts for over a week and next guesstimate is it will start again on 18 Dec 2018
.
This is shocking for a bank not to be able to process bill payments and transfers.
I can however keep loading my card and withdrawing cash to pay bills.
Cash withdrawal fees come now on top of the bank account fee (which we still have to pay despite not offering a banking service at this time), put together with the inability to make transfers ans payments using the banking system make me very suspicious.
Customer care is nonexistent!!

NB: personal experience!
Worst company ever!!!
Excellent service
I have used Tuxedo-account (Maestro first and then Mastercard) for nearly 3 years. I have had no problems using cards in ATMs in Central and Eastern Europe. Any queries or questions have been responded to by customer services in a rapid, highly satisfactory manner
