Pure and utter theft.

8 premium text charges showed up on my broadband bill last month (not my actual phone number, but the number belonging to my broadband account with Three.)

Like everybody else, no consent given whatsoever.

Contacted ComReg, who gave me Txt Nations details.
TxtNation told me it was a company called Red27mobile, and to contact them. Have contacted Red27mobile... if not resolved and refunded in 10 days, will be back to ComReg for them to investigate.

This is pure and utter theft, clearly on a large scale - how somebody isn't in prison for this is beyond me.

Do not let it slide, even if it's only a small amount, go straight to ComReg if you are in Ireland: 01 8049668

Also insist on evidence of your consent from Red27 or TxtNation.

Refund finally secured.

After a long series of back and forth emails I finally got a full refund today. You just need to be persistent and make sure you get in touch with whatever body oversees these issues (in Ireland it is Comreg and they were very helpful). The company initially offered a 'courtesy' refund of part of the total which gradually rose to 12 euro of the 17.50 they took. They then refused to go further. When I refused to accept this and said I would launch an official case, they then gave a full refund which arrived in my PayPal account yesterday.

Despite the anodyne and nausea-inducing message which will doubtless follow my post (as it has every other post), two things need to be made clear:
a) These are conscienceless crooks who prey on ordinary people and seem to have no compunction about making a living from doing so;
b) They will cave if you are just persistent enough; contact the regulatory body concerned and keep firmly insisting on your rights. Remember it is YOUR money, all you want is your own money back.

Update on below review...red mobile 27…

Update on below review...red mobile 27 just deposited the money owed to me to my account. I highly recommend to anyone to demand your money back from txtnation when you know money has been taken from your account without your permission, no matter how small the amount might be. Do not be fobbed off by their responses. It's a matter of principle.

Txtnation. Fraud.

I have read a number of the previous reviews and my experience is very similar. I too was scammed by this site. I never even knew they existed until I queried a €17 premium services payment on my phone bill. I am in the process of dealing with these people for a refund. And I would appreciate not receiving the automated message that all previous reviewers have received from you. YOU ARE COMMITTING FRAUD. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND THE REVIEWERS ARE ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN AFFECTED. I personally know 2 people that have had the exact same experience as me in the last few weeks but like many more will not pursue the matter because they feel it's too much hassle. Anyway I have requested a refund and your response will determine how I edit this trust pilot review.

**updated 10.21am 16th April 2020... and still I get that ridiculous automated reply from these crooks.you should be ashamed of yourselves. Just refund me my money.

These people are complete charlatans…

These people are complete charlatans and are out to make a quick buck at the consumer's expense. They bombard you with texts asking you to sign up to something. They then sign you up without permission and charge you for receiving their texts. IT'S A SCAM!!! Steer well clear. They have had over £100 out of me already. My service provider O2 have told me that they know nothing about it, which I have great difficulty believing, considering they refuse to confirm whether they make a profit from these companies. Utterly disgraceful!!

Stealing

This company's affiliate red27 is currently scamming my home broadband. I am having to communicate with my ISP, ComReg and communicate (debate the validity of the facts) with this despicable crowd whilst I am supposed to be running my business. I will be doing everything in my power to bring this to the relevant bodies. They need whatever licences they hold revoking. ComReg are culpable in this along with ISPs and it is about time it was brought further, which I intend to do.

In response to the reply below I've wasted plenty of time communicating with these crooks. They had the cheek to haggle with me over how much money i was to be refunded. Finally, after wasting plenty more of my time they agreed to refund me the full amount the skimmed from me. Still waiting for same. Complete crooks.
