Re. my first order with Uberbike...
I just placed my first order for a length of their Kevlar hydraulic hose (and some of their stainless) for a pair Hope brakes I'm installing on a Ti hardtail frame.
The crew at Uberbike are well and truly on top of their game! it took less than 10 days for the package to reach New Zealand from Germany which is astoundingly fast. Plus, their Kevlar hose is extremely high quality and not surprisingly it feels about half the weight of the steel, admittedly not a critical factor but still a good thing, right?...and crucially, the front HOPE Tech 4 brake accepted the hose switch with zero complaints (nada!, zilch!). It's really good stuff and comes highly recommended from this no-name dirt-bag peddler down here in the South Pacific.
I was also super impressed with a virtually friction-free online experience and would vouch for these guys all 'effing day long. The Uberbike crew are so competent that it's obvious they are way into what they are doing; they do it with both a passion for the sport and as an expression of hope for the planet... small planet, BIG world. May we help it heal with two wheels because it sure as hell ain't working with four.
Well done lads and ladies under the roof at Uberbike and much gratitude!

Just not the same with shopify
Just not the same with shopify. Where are my Loyalty points gone .
Also the bearings in the bottom bracket are not as good as the ones I bought a couple years ago.

We recently made some changes to our website because of ongoing issues with our old platform by moving to Shopify, and while this has allowed us to improve several aspects of our service, we understand that some features like the Loyalty Points are no longer available on our new system. We have seen large increases in raw material costs, so rather than increase the price of our parts which we would have to do, we have taken the decision to postpone the loyalty scheme, which in the long run is more advantageous to all of our customers in terms of savings.
Please rest assured, your Loyalty Points haven’t been lost. We'd be happy to look into your account and help restore your balance on our new system. If you would have gotten in touch with us regarding this, we could have sorted this for you. Just reply to this email with your new account details or the email you used to sign up, and we’ll get it sorted right away.
Regarding the bottom bracket bearings, no changes have been made to the manufacturing process of these parts. Can I ask what issue you have experienced with the bottom bracket please so we can look into this for you, as we’d like to be given the opportunity to turn this into a positive experience for you?

Good tech support pre-purchase, items are good quality and good price
The tech help I needed pre-purchase (rotors and post-mount adapters) was responsive and accurate. The items arrived quickly (despite the usual courier problems with 'imaginary' delivery times - nothing to to with Uberbike) and the rotors were indeed absolutely true (this is not a given). The items appear to be well-made and the price is very good. I've deducted a star because my initial rotor choice (the 'radiator' variant) seems to be permanently out of stock in 203mm size. But...with a SRAM Code caliper, these wouldn't work anyway because the joining rivets on these 'floating' rotors would likely contact the caliper body (SRAM, what were you thinking? Bad, bad design) but the flat-out rotors are fine. Perhaps a note on the Uberbike site might mention 'check caliper/rotor clearance' before considering the radiator variant. Overall, yes, uberbike, would recommend
Update: given Uberbike's response about the popularity of the radiator rotors, it seems petty to deduct a star, and given the quality, price and tech support, I've decided a 5* is more appropriate. Top people to deal with, thanks guys!
