Useless

Basically nothing works. It's not even suitable as a beta product.

Useless.

Ubuntu - Perfect entry-level Linux system

I've been using Ubuntu for a few years now, alongside my Windows. Ubuntu is perfect when you are new to Linux. Community is great for getting help and support.

I've loved it, never experienced any bugs and every time the system have failed have been cause by me (changed the wrong file etc.).

All in all, I'm very happy with Ubuntu.

Jibbi.

I had a old slow laptop running on Windows XP.

Now its on Ubuntu, and runs just at fast as my newer one on Windows 7.

There are a few compatibility problems, with Flash and Java but its free and it did boost up my computer before i found the garbage bin.

Ubuntu is an operating system based on the Debian GNU/Linux

I use it since version 8.10 and do not miss Microsoft Windows.
Especially because I use my OS to browse the web. If I want play games I use Windows wich is still on my HDD.
If you want to start Windows software there is WINE which can run most Windows .exe software.
Ubuntu also exists as Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu which use other desktop enviroments. Last ones need less RAM and CPU and can run on older Computers too.

Ubuntu has a very great community and you will find help in a range of Ubuntu forums.
