Security Breach and Zero Support! (Order398279765356)

Warning to all shoppers! After using Ubuy, my credit card was compromised. To make matters worse, they misspelled my name on the package, so Thai Customs rejected the delivery. FedEx is asking for extra fees to fix Ubuy’s mistake. I’ve reached out multiple times but have been ignored I want a full refund and for Ubuy to recall the package. Do not shop here if you value your data security!"

[UPDATE 17 Feb 2026]: Your response clearly shows a total lack of attention to my case.

Wrong Carrier: You told me to coordinate with DHL, but my shipment is with FedEx. This proves you haven't even checked my shipment details [AWB: 398279765356] properly.

Security Issues: My statement shows unauthorized duplicate charges from your site, and my card was hacked immediately.

Stop giving me automated apologies. I demand a FULL REFUND of 8,114.74 THB now. I will not pay for your errors and negligence.

Your delay and labeling error are costing me an extra 200 THB per day in FedEx storage fees. Since you provided incorrect information, these daily charges are accumulating due to your negligence. I refuse to be responsible for these costs.
"You claim your system is 'highly secure' and uses 'advanced encryption,' yet my card was compromised and hacked immediately after making a purchase on your site. This is completely unacceptable and proves your security is unreliable.

My bank has already flagged the activity as fraudulent, refunded that unauthorized transaction, and permanently closed my card for my safety. If your system was as secure as you claim, this security breach would never have happened.

Don't tell me to 'rest assured' when your platform failed to protect my data. I am now proceeding with a Full Chargeback for the original 8,114.74 THB order because I will never receive the product due to your errors."

"Your gross negligence in using 'Google Translate' for my legal name is the direct cause of this entire mess.

[UPDATE 18 Feb 2026]:

I successfully obtained the legal Thai FDA Import Permit and officially submitted it to FedEx on February 10, 2026—just 3 days after the shipment arrived in Thailand.
The shipment was not abandoned because of my lack of a license. It was abandoned because:
Ubuy’s Error: You provided an incorrect consignee name on the package, which created a mismatch with my legal permit.

"Ubuy’s communication is unacceptable. I sent multiple follow-up emails on February 13th and 14th, but Ubuy FAILED to respond entirely during those critical 48 hours. I had to send another email on February 15th just to demand an update.
Throughout this period, Ubuy provided NO clear answer regarding the additional costs (Amendment Fees and Storage Charges) caused by their incorrect shipping data. They avoided taking responsibility and kept me waiting without any solution.
It is only today that they finally gave a clear—yet dishonest—answer to deny my refund. Their silence and refusal to address the extra costs directly led to the shipment being forfeited. This is a complete failure of customer service."

[UPDATE 20 Feb 2026]:

I am writing to formally notify you that I will NOT proceed with the payment of 12,126.97 THB to FedEx Thailand as previously discussed.

As per the official FedEx invoice (attached), the storage charges alone have reached 9,153.85 THB (600 THB/day). This amount EXCEEDS the total value of the product (8,114.74 THB) that I purchased from you.

This financial loss is a direct result of Ubuy’s failures:

Incorrect Shipping Data: You provided an incorrect consignee name on the package, making it impossible to match my legal import permit.

Delayed Communication: I repeatedly followed up on February 13th and 14th, but Ubuy failed to respond for over 48 hours. This delay caused the shipment to be moved to the BFS warehouse, where the daily penalty tripled to 600 THB/day.

Since the cost to release the shipment is now higher than the item's price due to your negligence, it is no longer feasible for me to receive the goods.

I hereby demand a FULL REFUND of 8,114.74 THB to my original payment method immediately.

Order #: 2652601495031 — Stop the delays and cover the costs of your error.

Update (Feb 24, 2026): Documentation Finally Corrected – Mixed Experience
I am updating my review as the documentation issues for my order #2652601495031 have finally been resolved. After 10 days of constant follow-up through the in-app chat, Ubuy finally provided the corrected invoice matching my actual payment of 390.00 EUR.
The initial invoice had incorrect pricing, which caused a major customs block in Bulgaria. While the support team eventually fixed it, the process was far too slow, and I was ignored on WhatsApp for several days.
I want to give a special mention to DHL Express Bulgaria—their customs agents were extremely professional. Because I kept them informed of my struggles to get the correct docs from the sender, they kindly waived the 90.00 EUR in warehouse storage fees that had accrued due to Ubuy's error.
The remaining 2 items are now on their way with the correct paperwork. I am satisfied with the product, but Ubuy needs to significantly improve their documentation accuracy and response times to avoid putting customers at risk of high penalty fees.

Got it delivered here to Sweden since pepper spray isn't allowed despite high sexual crimes. It's perfectly loud and I love the flashlight addition for dark spaces. Makes me feel more safe to walk home at night, love that it can be attached to most things with its keychain.
