Positive experience with UK Media

The team has been really helpful and responsive to our train station ads in Bristol. We’ve been able to update our messaging frequently at a low cost, and we look forward to continuing the partnership.

I wouldn’t even give one star if…

I wouldn’t even give one star if possible. After emailing to cancel the contract within 48 hours, they completely ignored my request and kept pushing for payment. Three months later, without my approval, they put up a poor-quality advert in some obscure spot on an Asda notice board where hardly anyone would ever see it.

I never made payment and am prepared to challenge this in court. Be very careful with their marketing representatives—they use confusing wording and pressure tactics. If you do consider signing, make sure you personally visit and confirm the exact place where your advert will appear before committing.

I paid almost £1K for my sign to be…

I paid almost £1K for my sign to be posted right outside the left hand side of the ASDA in Kingston, My advert was placed over 20 meters away from the entrance.
Beware there is a clause in the contract at the back of the paper that says "our locations are noted on our Agreements as being ‘proposed’ as we do not own the property where the Customer Infopoints are located, but are contracted to provide a service."

Don't trust them - Cowboy advertising

I strongly advise to avoid this company. Yes, I signed a contract with the friendly "salesman" for an advert inside an Asda store.

After months of waiting for the AD to be placed I found it 100 meters outside the store in the carpark. At the time Asda head office confirmed with me that they knew about UK media company and was having legal talks with them.

I think I had some nasty thretening letters from UK media when I refused to pay.. A strongly worded letter returned back to them and they clearly moved onto scamming the rest of the UK..

Avoid at all costs!

Sneaky auto-renewal clause in contract

Sneaky auto-renewal clause in contract.
Very misleading and dishonest. No option but to pay for what can only be described as below-par advertising. They took months to implement the advert and it was substandard (basically a printed piece of paper that I could have done myself) for a huge sum of money. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I would not recommend this company

I would not recommend this company. They are not strictly speaking dishonest, but I found them to be very misleading and in a rush to get me to sign - more fool me.
There was no mention of a second year - I found that out through looking at reviews.
They agreed to send me a second contract, omitting the second year, but it gave different information, including a different price. They haven't responded to me asking them to change this.
They did, however, take money out of my account! No payment plan as promised. No contact asking when a convenient date would be.

AVIOD.

AVIOD.
Subscribed for a month to check if service is ok. Wasn’t so cancelled the subscription the same day, though a month later I was charged again. Ask UK media for a refund but ignored me. Then open case with PayPal, the guy emailed me and was so annoying that I just wanted to finish dealing with him and the “company” and agreed for partial refund. My lost.

Avoid it.
Bad service, loads of channels are not working or buffering.
Horrible customer service.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISGUSTING CAMPANY

I tried to give no starts but wouldn't let me continue so 1 star it is :(
This company is shocking... I had an advert with them back in 2019 then in 2020 I received an invoice from them stating I needed to pay for the 2nd advert?? what 2nd advert I said the rep only said it would be for 1 year. To which I was told he no longer works for the company so they cannot check this out. (How fortunate) Well I still had the reps contact number in my phone, so I called him and asked if it was just the one year and he replied YES just the one. I later when on to email UK Media with this information to be told they find my email somewhat concerning and that I'm wasting my time as they don't go on what the rep says to me they go on the signed paperwork they have.... so they had NO intention of speaking to the rep to see what he had said to me!! Plus the advert was blocked off by Asda during the pandemic so no customers could see the advert so I had paid for it for nothing then really. cut a long story short I have just received an email saying that I need to pay the full outstanding balance or they are sending it to a debt collection agency. They have Ignored all emails and previously so i will be contacting my solicitor and consumer trading protection act 2008.
Absolutely disgusting company. My business is a tanning salon and iv been close more that iv been open for the last few years due to the pandemic but they have no compassion at all. :(

STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY!
Years later it looks like this company are still mis-selling advertising space at ASDA. Reading the reviews I can confirm that this company was doing the same back in 2015.
At the time a salesperson visited my home and showed us the print that would be displayed inside Asda on the community boards. Some 3 months later and no display so I phoned UK media to be told that there had been a delay with the install team blah blah blah..

With the alarm bells ringing I phoned Asda head office and was told that Asda was in a legal dispute with UK Media Ltd. It turns out that the Asda community boards do not have any advertising allowed. I tried cancelling the order but was told that the advert was about to be installed..

3 Weeks later I found an advert over 50 meters away from the store entrance in the Carpark.. Regardless of cost / size of advert clearly this company ( UK Media ) has had many many complaints over the years for the same issues and refuses to change its ways.
