AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Do not open an account with these jokers. They advised me they were sending a letter which I needed to upload for AML. I received and uploaded it as directed and now they won't accept it with a message that simply says "not an avi". I contacted their webchat which is an outsourced drone who directed me to a phone-in to call for the "application team". I rang the application team who turned out to be in the UK (I'm based in ireland) who preceded to put me on hold and hang up. This happened 3 times. I then spent an hour on hold after an agent tried to put me through to multiple phone lines without success. If the service is this bad when OPENING an account imagine what it is like as a customer?
Review of Service & Agent on phone
I would like to give the highest praise to Mindy, the agent who handled my call today. The phone was answered almost immediately which is rare for a call center. She held a positive and helpful time of voice and attitude even though it was three AM. All of my queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently. As someone who works in management for a call center I can say that Mindy provided the perfect level customer service today
Can close your account without any wanrning or explanation
They closed my account nearly 3 months ago without any warning or any explanation and have not given my money back
I have had to pay my solicitor to try get it back and if it wasn't for borrowing money off family I would have not been able to pay any bills or my car on finance or anything
I have 2 kids fulltime so it really put all of us in a bad situation
If you ring or go to any branch they just say there is nothing they can do it's a true nightmare
They are discracefull please avoid them at all costs

Bank statement for 2010
Hello everyone! I hope you are all well in those difficult days..
My question is: for some personal reasons for me it's very important to get bank statement for 2010
Is it any way is possible to get it? Because I went to bank and they said the statement available online only for 7 years..
Does it mean no way I can proof how much money I had in my account in 2010 ???
Best regards.
Rasa.
I'm happy with my bank
I'm happy with my bank. It's my first bank in Ireland and I'm with them 9 years now. Like the app especially the spending chart. My wage is there always on Wednesday by 10 pm no matter where I was working other people with Aib getting wage next day around lunch time. I do have some balance there so monthly fee is only 2€
very bad experiencevery bad experience, without any advice we were rejected for morgage even the explanation was not clear .therefore we lost the right to buy the next few months since we went to AIB

Due to covid19 and wearing of masks has…
Due to covid19 and wearing of masks has thus made the experience of going into bank very stressful, Ulster Bank City centre, Belfast needs to start retraining their employees in having more patience and compassion for partially deaf people, who find it extremely difficult to hear with masks and perplex frames in front muting sound. Today Wednesday the 7th of Oct 2020, between 11 and 12 am, when I entered bank, and spoke to employee behind desk in front of bank entrance, her attitude, lack of patience, compassion or understanding, ( I actually had to comment to her to have a bit of patience as she kept throwing her eyes up when I asked could she repeat that sentence again, despite me telling her I was partially deaf.) her attitude left a lot to be desired, quite frankly it has put me off stepping foot into that particular bank, I would not recommend the Ulster Bank to anyone thinking of opening an account there. Being partially deaf is hard enough, and more so with covid19 without having to deal with the condescending impatient attitude of 2 of its EMPLOYEES twice when I visited the Ulster Bank, City Centre, Belfast.
Save yourself some grief and don’t use Ulster Bank
Terrible bank, completely disorganised and terrible communication. The woman we had been dealing with disappeared and was out of office indefinitely, then trying to get a new person to speak to took 3 weeks and then he Had no records of the application we completed with the first woman. Once things got moving and we were promised and answer he became uncontainable, they’re running us around in circles and don’t have any rhyme or reason to what they’re doing. Please save yourself the grief and go to a different bank.
NO STARS
There really should be a 0 star option for Ulster Bank Customers. Promised call backs, I'm on hold for 59:00 now.
I attempted to top up my wife's mobile…
I attempted to top up my wife's mobile phone which was out of credit and the transaction for E 15 needed verification which was by the bank sending an entry code. The messages were obviously not received and after a few more attempts was told to phone the fraud department. I was repeatedly asked the same security questions and failed the I D test. Apparently I do not know my full name , age next birthday and the address of my local branch ! So was told to present myself at my local branch with photo I D and proof of address - MY / OUR Account WAS BLOCKED. Numerous calls and long waits resulted in the same instructions to me without any interest in the situation or helpful resolutions. THE SITUATION IS BOTH DISGRACEFUL AND PETTY . IT DOES NOT TAKE IN TO ACCOUNT YEARS OF BEING IN CREDIT and ALWAYS KEEPING A CREDIT BALANCE. So now on Monday I have to present myself at my branch with documents just like the naughty schoolboy sent to the Head master's office with no access to our account over the weekend! IF THIS IS THE FUTURE OF RETAIL BANKING, GOD HELP US!
The worst bank ever
The worst bank ever. Had to change banks. Don’t waste your time, multiple headaches over the years. Problem after problem.
2 hours on hold
2 hours on hold to get through to the fraud people - this cannot be sorted by going to the branch. And it's still not sorted out. This is bad customer service.
Salute Lee pathetic what a bank it's a…
Salute Lee pathetic what a bank it's a joke don't know why the government bailed this one out problem during lockdown and this is where the Ulster bank I am just waiting On the phone and it's been three hours they did the same to me just close my account and stole as far as I'm concerned £5000 out of it as I cannot access it and it was the money I had from the government grant so not very happy as I run a business and we are suffering because of this of the stupidity of Ulster bank And it has gone 60 days and not heard a dickie bird from them they are absolutely pathetic and I thought they were a good bank And cannot seem to get in touch with them shock horror And when you do get in touch with them they are the lowest life form of person who deals with it think they are backstreet people as they are not very professional As they fob you off it has been over 60 days and I'm still waiting for my money or any correspondence with the Ulster bank definitely would not recommend these as they are the pits
UNORGANIZED CHAOS....! : (
Absolute Pure Crap...!!! A deaf and blind monkey could do a better job...!!! This bank is frustration central. Do yourself a big favour and just simply avoid these comedians at all costs. They will simply waste your time and goof you about.....!!! I am going to move my business account away from these fools as soon as I can. I was sent 3 / 4 letters regarding a new online security protocol. Spent 20 minutes on the phone to the help centre and after 20 mins I was told that my relationship manager couldn't be indentified and she would need more time to find him / her.....!?! Hung up.......how much more of my time are you going to waste....? Seriously......beam me up....!!!! This bank just wastes your time and frustrates the crap out of you.........don't let them suck you in to their world of chaos.......because that's all it is.....: ) UNORGANIZED CHAOS....! : ( Still no call from my relationship manager......after a week.....!!!!
