Ulta blocked my account because I forgot to add a coupon to my order!!!

I placed an order and forgot to add a coupon. The order was cancelled by Ulta so I could place it again with the coupon, but after the cancellation, my credit card (same I have used for years) would not go through. Added a new card (from a separate bank) and that one would not go through either. Per the system they were “unable to verify the cvv” Both my card issuers/ banks told me the issue was NOT on their end, it was Ulta blocking the transaction. I missed out on a sale, a coupon, and now 2 ongoing days of sales because I cancelled an order to add a coupon code. Never has this happen to me before with Ulta or any other websites. THIS IS INSANE!!!

From the moment I entered the store.....

From the moment I entered the store, I was greeted by a lovely young lady named Lynn-Vera. She guided me through the store, assisted me in locating two items, and completed the checkout process in less than 15 minutes. What a great experience! Kudos to Lynn-Vera!!

Rude salesman

We we got up to the counter and I had two gift cards and was not helpful on trying to help us out on putting the pin in was picking at her nails and had no idea what she was doing. Terrible help. The self person name was.Ahnlys at the Brenham Ulta.

Gaslighting at it's finest

My 17 year-old daughter got her ears pierced in July for her birthday. They were uneven. She let one hole grow back so she could get them redone. She took her Christmas money today and told the girl exactly where she wanted the new piercing. The lady argued and said it needed to be lower. They are worse now than before! The manager gaslit her by lying and saying they weren't uneven. After asking for a refund, my child is now BANNED from ever purchasing anything there again. What a trash store. You get punished for wanting quality service? Go somewhere else, I beg you!

Complete screw-up and no remorse

Online order made because store didn't have items in stock. Was told that there would be no problem getting items before Christmas. Order was broken up into 3 packages. 1 package arrived before Christmas. Another arrived after Christmas but had someone else's order in the box. When the company was notified of this they claimed that the customer was at fault even though they sent the items from another customer's order! Not that the wrong items were ordered but that the wrong items were sent. And this was the customer's fault!? They said they would not mail the correct order until the customer sent back the wrong order. Not only that but the 3rd package still has not arrived. Ulta *supposedly* sent a package next-day air via UPS except that all they did was make a mailing label and UPS has had to adjust their estimated delivery date because Ulta still has not given them the package. I'd say this is a fly-by-night company, but given their size I guess they are just trying to see how close to one they can come.

THE MANAGER HERE IN BRAUNFELS TX IS THE WORST ! She was too lazy to check the balance of my card when it’s possible she was claiming it isn’t AND on your call service it states if any issue go to your nearest ulta for assistance ! No assistance was done then proceeded to check my $$ as if it was fake ! Embarrassing !! I gave her another 100 after trying to call a manager ! Like all that nonsense when you should’ve just did your job! Ulta has went DWN completely!!

Gifts not in stock

This has been a reoccurring issue with Ulta on these three holidays, Mother's Day, Valentines Day, and Christmas where you spend a certain amount on perfume and you are supposed to receive a gift like a plush rob or something to that effect. Everything time I've brought on these special days I have been told the same thing over and over again that we are out, if you are going to run specials with gifts how about order enough to carry you through the sale and if you have extra used them for the next holiday. I have been shopping with Ulta for many years and I really don't want to go elsewhere but I might have too. This has become unacceptable.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Today is Christmas Eve 2025 and the store in Clifton was taking online orders with same day delivery as an option. I utilized the same day delivery and my order was approved. A door dash driver was assigned to me with details through text showing me updates on the status of my order. First update showed items picked up from store.Thereafter updates showed a delivery time . Last minute the door dash driver cancelled my order with products in his possession. No updates of redelivery just a pending refund in my bank account. All I wanted was what I initially requested which was a delivery of products purchased. Why advertise same day delivery if you cannot comply with that. I contacted Ulta and DoorDash for redelivery and no resolution whatsoever. Very disappointed throughout the whole same-day delivery process and my Christmas was ruined over all this .

Extremely Unprofessional Treatment by Store Manager at Porter Ranch Location

I had a very upsetting experience at the Ulta Beauty Porter Ranch store. I arrived a little late to my eyebrow appointment and was told there was a strict 10-minute grace period, which I respected. However, another client arrived 17 minutes late for her appointment and was still taken in, even though the staff told me she wasn’t there when I arrived.

When I asked to speak with the manager to understand why the policy wasn’t applied fairly, the situation escalated in a way I never expected. The manager called me inappropriate names in front of my two young children and refused to provide contact information for the general manager. She also threatened to call the police if we didn’t leave, even though I remained calm and respectful. This happened in front of many people in the store and was extremely embarrassing.

I’ve always been a loyal Ulta customer, but this experience made me feel disrespected, singled out, and treated unfairly. No customer — especially with children present — should be spoken to that way. I hope Ulta leadership takes this seriously and provides proper training so that no one else has to go through a similar experience.

If I could give NO stars I would. I have never had such an awful way a business before!

I ordered from Ulta online

I ordered from Ulta online. It said my order would "arrive in 3-6 days." I checked on the order after 6 days and they told me it had been shipped but the system takes a little time to update. I watch the tracking and it still says waiting for package from carrier. I call at day 10 and one person said they would reship it. We got disconnected. I call back the next CS replacement tells me I have to wait until 8 business days. I ask to speak to a supervisor. He tell me the same song and dance. I told him I want to cancel the order and be refunded. He says I still have to wait 8 business days which is tomorrow. He continues to tell me that it may be delivered tomorrow. I say that he and I both know that is not possible when the package has never been picked up by the carrier to go to USPS. He says he knows but I have to wait until tomorrow for a refund. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE INCOMPETENT IDIOTS. They will hang up on you, when I was being very nice. Different people give you different information. They lie and cheat you. Now supposedly I will get an email confirming my refund that I can expect in 3-5 business days. 3 weeks from the time of my order that was to arrive in 3-6 days. (Not business days)

Got charged for an order that never…

Got charged for an order that never went through last week. I contact d customer service as my points also got taken. They said the reversal would take 24/48 hours. It's been 8 day and Christmas is 3 days away. I need my money back. Worst payment portal ever. DO NOT PURCHASE ONLINE. I went down a rabbit hole and they are known for this. I wish I would have known. Take your business to Sephora

The girl in the checkout treated my…

The girl in the checkout treated my granddaughter terribly. My granddaughter did not know how to swipe the gift cards, and asked how, and the girl scoffed and did not help. She made her scratch the pin off and ruin her nails, and laughed when she got confused. Honestly, the rudest woman I’ve ever met. Terrible service

Horrible experience

Initial service from cashier, Nancy, made my experience feel horrible. The store I'm referring to is in Harlingen, TX. She truly was horrible! I needed to return an item and with Nancy's rude behavior and demeanor, it was very unsettling. While searching for other gift ideasp, Jorge, sales associate, was absolutely wonderful. He was so pleasant and friendly, he helped turn my horrible experience around. Thank-you Jorge! Ulta should be a fun and joyful experience, but personnel like Nancy, completely destroy the experience. That young lady needs to be rerained on customer service and how to properly interact with customers. I will definitely not be returning to this Ulta store.

Delivery date should be the start of a return policy!

We celebrated Christmas early this year since my kids could only be home for thanksgiving. My daughter purchased me a perfume from Ulta.com on October 16 on line and received the package on October 21. I was given the gift on November 29. I went on December 19 to exchange it- not wanting money back just a different perfume and apparently I was 63 days past the order date and 58 days past the delivery date. Their return time frame is 60 days. However if you buy it in November then I’d have an extra month to return it. They literally have no flexibility at all. Hope do they determine that it’s in to shop for Christmas gifts in November but nope not in October! Why is a return policy from the order date and not delivery date. If that package took a week to arrive then the consumer only has 53 days instead of 60 to exchange or return. They were rude and not helpful at all. This is a horrible return policy not being flexible with delivery information that is tracked and documented. I will never ship at ulta again, especially since they resell returned and used products. Who knows what those products could be contaminated with! Gross!!

Worst Customer Service

Ordered product, shipped, then I received an email from someone who received my package delivered by UPS. Now I realize UPS messed up the delivery, but when I called Ulta to complain they told me that even with my photograph that I will not receive the package I needed to call back in 3 days because their policy states they can't give refunds before the 8 day mark. My since I had used my Ulta rewards to purchase this product they would not give me a refund of cash but I no longer whole wanted to purchase from Ulta after all of the fiasco that I had gone through with customer service. The agent said that she would contact who she needed to to get my rewards turned into cash and that I would get an email back soon. After waiting 8 days I called back again and was told that it was denied. But of course no one thought to reach out to me so I never received any kind of refund. They have the I worst customer service ever and I will never spend money there again.

I purchased $110.00 Lancôme Génifique night cream no free gift whatsoever but there perfumes purchased comes with free gift and then they don’t carry the Lancôme Génifique night cream in small are medium only large the only reason I purchased it because it’s really good on my skin

Gift Card scam

I bought a gift card and it won’t work. They refuse to do anything about it because I don’t have my receipt. The manager(s) have been useless. I have never been treated this way at any other business. Do not buy their gift cards. Better yet do not patronize coconut point Ulta. Even the employees are leaving.
