Sent back Financial Aid and left with a Bill

The school is UMASS GLOBAL location in California. The Professors I had, Professor Long, Jwad, and Haig, were amazing. Stay away from R. Olivieri, a tough marker and cite-obsessed. But the bad grade is for the horrible one-stop and financial aid. They rewarded me my aid I went to school for 3 sessions and then they took it away, charged me back, sent the aid back to the dept of Education and left me with an $8k bill. No explanation. They put a hold on my account, so I could not even transfer. I am older, returning to school. Why are these people so unkind as to sabotage someone's education? They never call you back; they all work from home remotely. I went to the school frustrated, and they threatened me about a conduct violation! The nerve when they would not provide me with proof in writing why they took away my financial aid. I am fighting now, depending on the outcome, I will change this survey, but if you have financial aid needs, this is not the school. They don't help you to make sure you get it! Carl and Adrianne Howard is amazing the school aid dept ruined an amazing experience

Bad Experience at UMASS

This was my first semester at the university. I took an afro-american studies class as part of a diversity requirement. My accommodations from disability services were not honored in this course. The professor was very rude to the students. Her grading practices were inappropriate for a tenured professor. Graded me out of spite towards the end of the semester because she discovered that I filed complaints about her within the university. The university implied I am a criminal for standing up for my civil rights in a class that was supposed to educate about diversity. The university caused harm to my reputation as well as financial harm that could impact my ability to afford my education. The university put me on academic probation after my first semester because of educational damages they caused.
