I had a complaint about Bovril

I had a complaint about Bovril. An original phone call and then many emails (including sending pictures). Eventually told I could only get a voucher using my phone. I DO NOT use a phone for these purposes so I was not refunded anything for this faulty item. A good "get out" for them

I've used this shop on TIKTOK

I've used this shop on TIKTOK, THEY do not value customers they send the wrong order n then they do not want to return or refund or send the package the customer has paid for. They act like they are not them and are scamming people 🙄. Im very disappointed as I ordered the molly mar persil laundry pods and liquid and they wont send the correct one or they r missing parts of the product 😕 stay CLEAR OF IT

LEMON Scent ONLY?Cif/JIF Cream

More meddling with time honoured brands.
Was in a get up to go mood to get squirting that CIF?GIF cream to do a good clean up but needed some more.
Got the shops (well 3-4 large supermarkets actually)
only to discover no plain white GIF cream any longer sold.How annoying!Instead nothing but LEMON scented stuff.Why Lemon?I dont want my kictchen smelling of LEMON.Seems all the previous white stuff had all been removed.Only other options mousse or spray sorts of stuff-not for me.
Maybe these are made to make cleaning easier but in my case its elbow grease.Theres no shortcut to scrubbing a load of black filth off a floor on your hands and knees and little squirts of mousse lavender and lemon just dont do it for me though certain customers may be attracted.
Why oh why mess with a trusted formula?
First they came for the Windowlene then they came for The Jif.Its like a conspiracy to get houses looking dirty.
Eventually I found a little country store been ther for years that doenst do all this nonsense.
Good ol fashioned Jif cream on the shelf.
I bought the remaining stock.
You can keep the lemon.

Vegetarians beware

As a Restaurateur i have been using Knorr bouillon for many years. Recently I became aware when using stock that the tubs seemed to have become mixed up with the beef being in a vegetable tub and the vegetable being in a beef tub. The taste and colour proved this to be the case. Wrote to Knorr who have come back with a lame excuse of tubs were stored at the wrong temperature. Carnivores will not mind have vegetable stock however it will not be same for vegetarians eating beef stock. As I have stated I did write to them to avoid Trustpilot however their reply was an insult to my intelligence and culinary experience of over 40 years.

Unilever faulty product and data harvesting

Bought sure deodorant. Highlighted that on multiple occasions after buying the same spray then spray function has malfunctioned so emailed Unilever. Customer service via email wanted information to the cost, store location and my mobile number. I am unsure why they would require this as it sounds more like data harvesting than wanting to genuinely assist with the issue. Beware contacting. I have just advised I would not use the product again

surf xl washing powder 80 wash…


I bought surf xl washing powder 80 wash box. Yes it's a good price when on offer for £7, but the box is 2/3rds full and no way does 80 washes. Waste of cardboard. Feel it is false advertising. Expected a full box of powder. Took photos of box and of contents but can't use them. Not usually a moaner but was quite disappointed, but you get what u pay for.

Walls product stained my furniture!

I bought a pack of Wall's ice lolly's, the packaging of one of them was placed on a desk for no longer than 30 minutes. When I noticed I quickly wiped it away, but was left with a long, dark orange stain in its place! Less than a year old with an unsightly mark across it, fab.

Contacted Walls/Unilever as there is no mention of staining from these products, I was told that because I hadn't kept the box there was nothing they could do? I answered all of their questions which would have given them enough information to figure out which batch it came from, but they closed my case as I didn't keep the packaging.
I don't keep all the packaging for everything I buy until the entire thing is consumed and I don't intend to change that either!
Absolutely ridiculous customer service, won't be buying their products again.
Didn't realise Walls was Unilever or I wouldn't have bought them due to their lack of ethics!

AVOID THIS & THIS COMPANY MANUFACTURER…

AVOID THIS & THIS COMPANY MANUFACTURER (UNLIVER). They accept no responsibility nor compensation for selling you faulty goods. A huge company owning over 400 brands including Surf, Dove, Ben & Jerry's, Hellman , vaseline, persil etc

I bought this in February & used it many times. Note I'd bought this exact Surf many times before in-store (Asda, Sainsbury's etc) & this was the first time I'd bought it on Amazon. Soon after, 4 dark clothes were ruined by pink marks & surface (which normally happens when you put bleach on a black or navy blue clothes). Unfortunately it didn't click to me that it was the fault of this washing powder as those clothings were newly bought & I thought it's the fault of the clothing manufacturers. But when my recently bought Fatface & previously washed many times Superdry hoodie started developing these pink hues, it clicked on me that it's this washing powder! 😲
I contacted UNILEVER & AFTER ASKING 1000 QUESTIONS ABOUT the washing care labels, photos if clothing damage, my washing machine & all kinds of questions, this is their response: lol
Thank you very much for providing the requested information.

We sent the information and photos you provided to our technical team for analysis. They advised that the hooded top does show signs of bleaching damage. However, the care label for this garment does have instructions to not use bleach. As Surf Tropical Lily & Ylang Ylang Powder contains oxygen based bleach, we cannot substantiate any liability for this damage.

They also looked at the damage you described on the second Fatface garment and advised that the damage appears to be residue from detergent. We would recommend washing the garment again with a 40 degree wash that follows the care label instructions.

In regards to any other clothing you may have with similar damage, please provide the care labels and photos of the damage for us to be able to look into them.

We are really sorry for your experience, however we thank you for allowing us the time to look into this for you.

I'll report them to Trading Standards but they're too rich (this powerful) for trading standards. Np...karma on their company.
UNILEVER IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY. I'VE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THEIR SURF WASHING UP LIQUID (which dried out my hands in flakes & all they said was: sorry about that! & not even a goodwill gesture for done vouchers! No wonder they're rich. They're a huge global company & this is how they treat people.

PG TIPS (UNILEVER UK) will let you down if you have a faulty product

Near as dammit 3 months ago i had to make a complaint to PG TIPS TEA (UNILEVER UK), regarding many of the biodegradable tea bags that kept splitting when tea was brewing, i was offered a replacement box of tea bags (GREAT) IF THEY EVER INTENDED TO SEND THEM, i've rung them numerous times since and all they say is they haven't any to send out and can only send in batches and there's no timeline, IT'S ALL NONSENSE/EXCUSES, their customer care is non existent and i know they will never send them, they just tell me LIE AFTER LIE, shame on them, i will NOT be buying PG TIPS again that our family have sworn by for generations, i expect when there's an issue that they would value a lifelong loyal customer, BUT NO, they don't care that's blatantly obvious, a company is only as good as it's customer care and PG TIPS (UNILEVER UK) have proven that statement very true with all their promises and lies with regard to my experience, so to all reading this be warned that if you have an issue similar to mine all you will get is short shrift, good luck to anyone who's unfortunate enough to have to endure what i have, DISGRACEFUL ATTITUDE OF PG TIPS (UNILEVER UK) ESPECIALLY AS THEY ARE SUCH A BIG COMPANY OF LONGSTANDING and assume they can get away with what they choose to as it suites them, they don't deserve custom like mine and they certainly won't be getting it again as far as PG TIPS are concerned.

Say what you want about unilever but the customer service I have received so far from someone called Megan via email has been amazing. This was after I had a complaint about one of their many brands; Pot Noodle. I have been offered compensation for my troubles and I'm going to take it but not without shouting out Megan in unilever customer service! Thanks Megan, Keep up the amazing work! J

Unilever produce simple soap

Unilever produce simple soap, and have reduced the size from 125g to 100g, a drop of 20%. The way they did it, is by carving out 25g from one side. After a few days, the bar separates into 2 useless lumps. I have stopped buying it, and I now use Wrights Coal Tar Soap.
I previously used other products from unilever until they were reduced in quantity or had their ingredients changed to the extent that I could / would no longer use them.
This is typical of profit hungry multinationals and the bonus culture of the management.
I would rather pay the extra to a smaller company, than give these leeches my money.

Choked on an eleastic band planted in ice cream

I bought a tub of Walls ice cream. While eating it, I choked on a small elastic band planted in the ice cream. I complained to Unilever trading as Walls. They replied with a case number, 41373355 and a request that I send them the elastic band in a sealed plastic envelope in the pre-paid envelope they provided. I did as they requested. I waited 6 weeks with no response. I sent them a reminder, 3 months later still nothing.
