We've just returned from a last minute trip to The Outpost in Conwy, our first experience through Unique Homestays but certainly not to be our last.

Rebecca the owner was warm in her interactions and so personable, she really has considered all of the important little things that even we hadn't realised we might need whilst away.

You access the property via a private little bridge and then it's just you, the wood fired tub, the stars, the sound of the stream nearby and the calls of the resident tawny owl.

The inside was clean, spacious, warm and characterful. It was the relaxation we needed and it felt nothing short of majestic, to hide away at this beautiful home in it's own little woodland.

We can't speak highly enough of our experience at Limehouse Cottage through Unique Homestays. We wanted to honeymoon outside of the typical "tropical climate/Hawaii" standard here in the US. Limehouse Cottage had it all. Centrally located to take in all of what the Ring of Kerry has to offer, Limehouse Cottage is serene, beautiful, therapeutic, and romantic. The vistas are breathtaking. It was a trip and place we will never forget. We haven't stopped thinking about it or talking about it since we left. Simone at Unique Homestays was friendly, clear, and communicative. Not once did we wonder where to go, what to do, or what was expected of us. Correspondence was always timely and helpful. The photos and description of the cottage were 100% accurate, if not more impressive and beautiful in person. Thank you Catherine, and thank you Simone and Unique Homestays for helping us start our married life in the most perfect way possible. We hope to be back someday.

We stayed a week in Huckleberry, Nevern, Pembrokeshire. Great property in a perfect setting. Beautifully renovated, well equipped and very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to visit the north Pembrokeshire National Park. Very interesting and beautiful area all on your doorstep.

This is one of several breaks we have now booked with Unique Homestays and they have all been superb. The whole process is super efficient with Simone and the team and all of the properties have exceeded expectations. Tangle Belle was no different and perfect in terms of solitude , quality of accommodation and location. Perfect for the dogs as well. The owners were great and welcomed us on arrival and then left us to it for the week.

Amazing house , wonderful welcome pack , stunning outlook. Only missing kitchen utensil was a salad spinner! Otherwise we had everything we needed!

Atlanta is an amazing appartment, a kind of heaven on earth. Everything and more than you could have ask for. We enjoyed the lovely views and hot tub!

We have been to "The Fable" several times now. Actually, I don't want to review it, so that not everyone knows how fantastic this cottage is. It is perfectly and stylishly furnished, located in a fairytale setting and leaves nothing to be desired. For us, the well-maintained hot tub and the fact that dogs are very welcome (there are even dog cushions and treats for our four-legged friend) are definite plus points. What can I say... I will recommend it to my friends and we will definitely be back next year.

We rented the property Nocturne in Stow on the Wold in July/August 2025 as a party of 10 to celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary.

We arrived to find the Luxury Welcome Hamper consisted of items from the local Co-op (own brand crisps, cheese, Warburtons white bread) half eaten Daylesford Organic products and a bottle of red wine which someone had already removed the seal.

We had requested that one of the bedrooms was made up as a double rather than twin. On arrival this was still a twin.

We had planned on eating at the property on a number of evenings, but found that the kitchen wasn't really equipped for 10 guests. There weren't enough pots/pans and a lack of utensils. We had planned on having a bbq on at least one night, but this was filthy and there were no tools to use when cooking. The general cleanliness was lacking, floors hadn't been hoovered/mopped, the table and chairs in the garden had mouldy leftover food on them, we found dog treats under the sofa, the bed linen on nearly every bed was stained and the bathrooms/kitchen were all grubby. Drains in all bathrooms were very slow to drain. The double beds in two bedrooms were extremely squeaky to the point that those using the beds struggled to get a decent night's sleep for the week we were there.

There were no hand towels in bathrooms/toilets, or enough toilet roll. The "bath" towels were all very small and can only be described as crispy.

We contacted the house keeper about all issues and he was dismissive and clearly didn't want to resolve anything. He was slow to respond, claimed he'd tried calling, but didn't return my calls or voicemail messages.

On the second last day there was a leak from one of the bathrooms which meant we couldn't use one of the showers. There was no attempt to fix this whilst we were there and it was clear from the stains on the ceiling that this was already an issue.

We complained to Unique Homestays and they really didn't acknowledge any of the issues, even when we shared photos as evidence. They apparently shared our feedback with the owner, but they never actually came back to us. The whole experience was really disappointing and turned what should have been a lovely experience for everyone into a somewhat stressful one. We paid £6k for the week and feel like we were completely taken advantage of.

We would not recommend Unique Homestays at all. The customer service was non-existent and slow to respond.

Hansa is a special place, we couldn’t have chosen a better calming little house to chill, relax and for me this was part of my rehabilitation time after an operation. Thank you for letting us stay in this fairy style house, where it was warm, cosy, we had everything we needed. The weather was not on our side but even that didn’t upset our stay.

Unique Homestays appear to do everything well!
Communicative, friendly staff who follow through on what is asked of them.
The Tempest was everything we could have wished for. The position of the property, the property itself and the owner, for whom nothing was too much trouble. A gem with a " can do" attitude.

Superb Experience. From initial enquiry and booking, we felt our precious holiday time was in safe hands with UniqueHomeStays. Simone was excellent in guiding us and we had everything we needed in terms of communication both before and after our stay. Pomona in Cornwall was an unforgettable experience, the luxurious property and idyllic location ensured we had a much needed restorative break. Whilst a peaceful location amongst beautiful sculptures and a magical garden we were close to all the coast has to offer. With the wonderful hospitality of Liz of the owners, we were made very welcome and as if our home from home - we had everything we needed or could possibly need. We very much hope to return again to this location one day and will definitely be booking with UniqueHomestays in future. Thank you!

An amazing array of high quality accommodations that have been carefully curated for their uniqueness. We were thrilled with our choice and the hosts were very welcoming. From the extensive and beautifully presented house book (notes and recommendations) to the fast and clear email communications, I’ve been thoroughly impressed and will be booking again!

The cottage is so quaint, furnishing and decor are 1st class. It is situated along a totally private road, within a 10 minute stroll you are at beautiful secluded beach, with crystal clear waters. I would recommend Beach Cove Cottage in a heartbeat.

A very beautiful House.
From the moment we arrived at The Knapp we knew this was a special place. Location was perfect with incredible views across the Slad Valley. Plenty of walks. The interior was perfection; everything you'd hope from an English Country Cottage. It has been renovated and decorated with an expert eye and a brilliant attention to detail. The kitchen is a cooks dream; a pleasure to make meals in and then sit at the table with that view.

We had the most amazing family holiday at Studio Fold in Nutbourne! The house was amazing and perfect for the grandchildren! They have a fantastic BBQ and outdoor seating area so we did a lot of cooking in! Really well stocked kitchen and 2 dishwashers which was great for an extended family of 10!! The beds were all very comfy!!

We loved all the recommendations from the owner particularly Nutbourne vineyard. My grandchildren loved the house and the huge garden too - it was very safe for them ! We were able to take the family dogs and they loved the holiday as well!!

Definitely a 5 star house!! The staff at Unique Home Stays were also so friendly and helpful!
