Not Zero Down Bankruptcy
I called because they advertised that they are a zero down chapter 13 bankruptcy however when i contacted them they needed $1800 down before they would file. i believe that this is false advertising and should be noted.

I was being Garnished from another state which I was told was Illegal in the state of Texas. My Lawyer told
me he could get my case started asap, and as he promised he got it started and the Garnishment stopped within a month of filling out the paperwork. My Lawyer was available to me anytime. If I had questions, he would follow up with me within twenty-four hours. I most DEFINETLY would recommend this Law Firm.

The attorneys over charge you and only after you pay them your hard earned money and they can’t help you, you will only get back 330. I wouldn’t recommend these people or work with them, just know there is a risk of you losing your money with these guys

SCAM ALERT 🚨🚨
SCAM ALERT 🚨🚨. I spoke to upright law about handling a bankruptcy. I did not agree for them to automatically take moneys out of my account. I cancelled due to a hardship and my Sister having brain cancer! They didn’t even work on my case and I didn’t even speak with an attorney about my case!! I even asked on their portal with no response and left the Attorney several Voicemails and Emails with no response. They’re taking advantage of Americans poor people and this needs to stop! They debited $1050 out of my account and I went on their portal trying to get advice and they said I canceled and mail me a refund for Bill.com for only $359.00. They prey on the poor! I will be contacting Kentucky’s Attorney General, Illinois’s Attorney General, American Disability Act, ADA.gov because I am disabled and as well as the BBB. They knew I was disabled going in! No excuse for this kind of practice in the great USA 🇺🇸!

Stay away from them!!
I called them about filing for Bankruptcy and was told that after I made my first $200/month payment that ir would be started nd I could quit paying my creditors and a local attorney would be contacting me Within 2 weeks, the local attorney called and informed me that nothing would be started until $1,200 was paid. I told her to cancel the whole thing since I couldn't afford $200,month to them and pay the bills. They continued to extort $200 from my account for two more months. I got a refund check for $78.80. they claim that the rest of my $600 went to expenses, when it was cancelled after 2 weeks. I was in rehab with a broken leg and complications during that time and was unable to get to the bank to have my debit card # changed. They give Ambulance Chasers a bad name!

People beware!!!
People beware!!!! They take the money upfront before even speaking to an attorney. It's hard to reach them by phone or email. Yes, they say the right things in the beginning but then when it's time to actually speak to your lawyer it just doesn't happen. Then try and get a refund! You can't talk to anyone to put this in action. When you call the number, they provided all you can do is make a payment. Yes I would say that they are a rip-off and also being investigated for the way they do business.

Feels Like Robbery
I contacted Upright Law today and requested a refund on my account. The man I spoke with was very nice and helpful. However, I was shocked to find out that out of $2,000 I would only be reimbursed $335. The reason for my concern is that I was charged enormous fees for very little work. Nothing had ever been filed in the court and my attorney was never available for calls. The thing that bothers me the most is my only income is Social Security so this loss has impacted me in a great way. I feel as if I have been robbed and cannot trust anyone. I am very sad and hope this review helps someone else.

Upright law is a crooked company. This company is just out for the money
This company is just out for the money. They are a joke. When asked for a refund, they won’t oblige. But they have the nerve to ask if I would want to suspend my payments for a few months. No, I want a refund. My wages were garnished while I was making payments to them! If they were a good company, they could have stopped the garnishment. They didn’t do their job and keeping the money I paid to them. Don’t use them! You are better off going with an attorney who will work for you! Upright law is a crooked business.

Don't Go Here
They lie about the law, told a client that court had been held without the client getting notice and said that's normal that the client got no notice. They use scare tactics to try to get you to think there's no hope. During a free consultation, they told the caller that they should just pay any collection agencies even if the caller had proof they didn't owe money. All of this is on recording. When the employees realized trying to scare us wouldn't work, they stoop to harassing. They called repeatedly, over 15 times and each time hung up once the phone was answered. They spammed our calls and texts. This place is horrible.

Do not recommend! -50/10
Do not recommend!! I can’t even begin to express the disappointment that my husband and I have experienced in dealing with this law firm/company/entity. We had contacted “Upright Law” as suggested by a google search for bankruptcy lawyers (HUGE lesson learned and Fitzgerald will receive just as glowing a review). To make a long story short, we have been in the process of “filing bankruptcy” for 10 months after a payment of $2000 to Upright Law, a company that evidently contracts out for attorneys, leaving us in the unfortunate hands of Fitzgerald Law office. Every month, after we are assured that our paperwork and submissions are complete, we are told that we need to submit more, something isn’t accepted, something isn’t complete (oh, when they would answer or return our calls, that is). The “problem”, as stated by the Fitzgerald office, is the Upright Law software. Which, I will concur, is absolute garbage (hours uploading PDFs and “photos “ 🙄) Almost a year in, here we sit, and today, after my husband has made several attempts to contact the Fitzgerald office, I finally got through with my cell number (I feel they are screening calls). After being told they need updated tax returns, (which were previously submitted), we are informed Fitzgerald doesn’t work for Upright Law anymore and we will need a new attorney!!! NO ONE contacted us! We called Upright and got a run around again. Needless to say, a grievance or two have been filed with the state of Wisconsin for unethical practice... If it were possible I would give Upright Law and Fitzgerald Law Office a negative 50 stars. I feel I’ve been robbed of 2 grand and have been greatly insulted. We have received attitude from both attorney Fitzgerald and his paralegal or assistant, Mabel. An embarrassment to their profession. We don’t know the law, and this has been a learning experience for us-one with very unqualified and unprofessional teachers. This company and affiliates law do not assist clients, do not care at all about the people that have paid hard earned money for their services. Avoid at all costs!!! I sincerely wish I would have read these reviews before contacting these firms. I will expect a full refund, and an apology. I’m so very disappointed- taking advantage of people needing help! Hoping no one else will have to experience this.
Addendum: still no communication or calls back, no bankruptcy. We are requesting a refund as we received no services for our $2000 retainer. Do not use this company.
